Hi girls thought as that thread it quite full we could start a new one here.
Hope you don't mind pink.
How you girls all feeling today? I swear I keep forgetting I'm pregnant when symptoms disappear randomly. But I'm at such early stages, one of the babies of the bunch at just 5+2

I still have to wait until next week for booking in appt when I would be 9 + 3 wks. and god knows when id get a scan. I juat want ti know if there is a hb and in right place I keep thinking the worse

Vikkijayne2507 · 27/08/2013 23:22

oh 8 + 1 almost 2. sorry for spellings on my phone

Tea1Sugar · 28/08/2013 06:51

Think I might need to go to docs, having had a bad cold and now cough my chest is quite rattly Hmm

Also, following a horrendous birth with dd I've been advised to have an elcs (music to my ears). When is this usually done and at what point does someone confirm that this is the plan of action?

prettyinpink90 · 28/08/2013 08:07

Morning all!
boobs so glad your scan went ok! Must have been amazing to hear your babies heartbeat!
I've booked a private early scan for the 15th Sept by which I should be around 8 weeks. It can't come quick enough!

BartBaby · 28/08/2013 18:21

Which anti-sickness tablets do all you lovely ladies have?

I'm back at the docs tomorrow and thinking of trying some different ones. I've got promethazine at the minute but they aren't lasting as long as they should be. So I will either need to take more, or change to different ones. Which are the ones that dissolve under your tongue? I don't want those ones Hmm

ChocChaffinch · 28/08/2013 18:28

maxalon praise the lord for them too

ChocChaffinch · 28/08/2013 18:31

I will be having an ELCS. they usually occur at week 39. unless twins, at week 37.
the decision will be made by your consultant at your week 12 ish apt, if you're medically complex like moi. Grin

ChocChaffinch · 28/08/2013 18:33

my scan will be 18th September at 0850 ! great, school drop off time. nice and early but how the hell will I drink a pint before then, bearing in mind with my hyprem I need to sip like a butterfly ...

pinkpeoniesplease · 28/08/2013 19:02

This thread isn't moving much since the Facebook group set up!
Exciting to hear you're getting your scan dates Grin I'm hoping to get my letter this week-fingers crossed!

prettyinpink90 · 28/08/2013 19:08

pink Agreed, posts seem to have really slowed.

Is anyone else eating loads? I just can't seem to stop eating! And because of the extream tiredness I just can't be bothered making the right things, I'm craving comfort food.

ThedementedPenguin · 28/08/2013 19:08

Okay so for everyone who has had a scan, did your dates get moved much?

I had my appointment yesterday when I should of been 8+3 however Mw did a quick scan which measured 7+1. Although dates haven't been changed, she said if need be they would do it at my next scan on 13/09.

Tbh I wasn't 100% on my dates as I'd only recently came off the pill and had 1 AF so I don't mind. Plus it would explain the lack of symptoms for so long.

ThedementedPenguin · 28/08/2013 19:10

pretty I'm hardly eating, every time I make food I feel so sick.

Tonight a had a handful of wedges and a slice if pizza for tea. So not enough really but that's all I could handle.

Can't wait for the next few weeks to be over.

cookielove · 28/08/2013 19:10

So does everyone get a scan letter, cause it took an age for my booking in appointment to come through, if i have to wait for another letter i'll probably end up missing it, due to not recieving the letter in time Hmm

Vikkijayne2507 · 28/08/2013 19:12

Yeah im eating loads as well pretty Im getting soo impatient for at least my booking appointment next week where I hope I will find out when I get a scan. I know Im repeating myself on here but im soooo impatient aghh

ThedementedPenguin · 28/08/2013 19:12

cookie I'm from NI so it mugt be different. But I got given my scan date after my appointment yesterday.

Definitelysometime · 28/08/2013 19:17

I haven't stopped eating since I got my BFP pretty - it's the only thing that stops the sickness, though only for ten minutes at a time Smile

Amazingly, I've only put on 3lb but feel HUUUUGE.

Ooh, chocchaffinch your 12 week scan is the day before mine. Luckily mine is at a more sociable hour though! Really hope you're feeling a bit better by then and can stomach juice etc. When did it ease off with your last preg?

prettyinpink90 · 28/08/2013 19:24

Glad it's not just me vikki and definitely. Past couple of days i've started feeling a tad nauseous mid mornings and find that eating something helps. I guess I should be grateful, some of you ladies sound like your having an awful time with the sickness!

mamapants · 28/08/2013 19:54

With my first pregnancy I had a massive appetite but only for stodgy foods. This pregnancy I am eating a bit more than usual but only so I don't feel sick by having an empty stomach and I'm eating everything I would normally eat including spicy food and garlic etc which I couldn't last time.
I haven't gained any weeight yet.

I'm still waiting for midwife to call to arrange coming round for my booking in appt and will get scan date in a letter some time after that.

ChocChaffinch · 28/08/2013 20:01

in last pg was puking for the entire 9months so not holding out much hope!

footloose is on now though, so that's nice Grin

pinkpeoniesplease · 28/08/2013 20:19

Pretty I am definitely eating WAY more! I'm so tired I'm just eating junk which isn't like me, roll on 12 weeks when hopefully the exhaustion passes. If I carry on this way I'm going to be HUGE SadConfused

PainAuxRaisins · 28/08/2013 20:20

natanotherone I'd love a waterbirth too (hopefully in a BC rather than at home). It's the least painful way! Not sure I'll be allowed this time as I'm convinced I'm having twins (based on no evidence whatsoever - just a feeling). Booking in appt tomorrow so hopefully will get better idea of when dating scan will be. I'm another non-FB person but glad to see there are still plenty of updates on here!
9+6

Ninunina · 28/08/2013 20:24

I started out being really careful about what I was eating, but since my morning sickness hit 2 weeks ago I have been eating like a pig and put on loads of weight (despite throwing up at least twice a day). I need to start going to the gym but it's the last thing I feel like doing when I'm so tired and sick all the time.

Oh. .. and for those not on Facebook, I had my scan today at 7+5 and everything is as it should be. heartbeat appears strong and baby measuring well. It puts my mind at rest though I know things can still go wrong from here.

cookielove · 28/08/2013 20:25

I would love to have a water birth!

Trinpy · 28/08/2013 20:50

cookie my mw made my appointment for the first scan the day after my booking in app. She called me to tell me when it was and I got a letter a few days later to confirm and explain what happens.

I'm also eating like mad. I know youre not supposed to eat for 2 but I'm hungry all the time!

Someone asked me whether I was pregnant at work today. I had a fainting spell and felt really sick and wobbly afterwards. I managed a very forced laugh and a really over-the-top 'me? pregnant? GOD no!!! Hahahahaha'. Then someone else chipped in that of course Trinpy isn't pregnant, she's only just started working here. Not looking forward to telling everyone the truth in a few weeks time Confused .
