Yay for more good scans!

enormouse I hope you feel better soon.

Fx for you humpty!

The letter was really nice, lots of memories from when I was a baby and mum saying how proud she was of me and my sister. I've been missing mum a lot recently so it's really nice to have.

Mac2014 · 23/08/2013 18:40

toby I'm not doing the decorating, I'm much of a project manager... Rubbish at it but good at nagging!

tarka he made me laugh too! He completely believes it.

enormouse it's mind-boggling (and really irritating!)how blind they are!

Frizz1986 · 23/08/2013 23:34

Yay for good scans. Now I don't know why it was all so scary as our sonographer was so nice and wanted to show us everything.

And mrsg am glad that the letter brought back some nice memories.

I have found I am an idiot. Thought the sonographer said when showing me my placenta 'this is the placenta which is all normal at the back out of the way' but finally looked at my notes and next to placenta it says anterior so I guess I am in the ap team! Must have just said that it was out of the way.
Def explains why I am just starting to think I feel defined prods from the inside.

Oh and I look mega pregnant now and I love my pregnant body. Really looking forward to a wedding I am off to tomorrow in a dress that I also look v pregnant in. Must go to sleep now, looking after nephew in the am then wedding in the pm and will prob be up with the dog from 4 (when I have to pee) as she is in a strange place so doesnt go back to sleep well.

MrsVDB · 24/08/2013 08:30

Ah frizz that's lovely :) I agree I love my pregnant belly especially in certain clothes but less so in no clothes as think it could still pass as flab as have pretty chunky bottom half 2. Hoping it gets more hard in next couple of weeks before bikinis in Bali!!

Does anyone know where I can find maternity shorts? I've looked everywhere

TobyLerone · 24/08/2013 09:31

New Look had some but they might have stopped stocking them now it's almost Autumn.

AnotherStitchInTime · 24/08/2013 09:36

New look and ASOS still have them online in the maternity sale section. Vertbaudet still have them online too.

Sultanajo · 24/08/2013 10:09

Yay great scan results! Woop woop!

Good luck humpty with the house! Sounds lovely! Grin

Sorry you have been struck down enormouse! Hope it buggers off soon. Look after yourself.

Glad you got thru your yoga class mac.

I too have had the same variety of pains all of you are describing. Had sharp pains yesterday but lots of kicks this morning so all must be ok. The shooty fanjo ones are just bizarre! Hmm

Oh dear - 30% off baby gap! Can feel a trip coming on....Hmm

Sultanajo · 24/08/2013 10:11

mrsg that is just lovely. What an amazing thing to treasure!

enormouse · 24/08/2013 12:31

What about ebay? People might be selling their out of season maternity wear.

That's a lovely thing for you to have MrsG

Sultanajo · 24/08/2013 13:22

Yay! The star wrap I ordered has arrived and it is Mega Cute! Thanks so much for the idea Toby! May have to order another one in a different colour too! Grin

lovelilies · 24/08/2013 14:53

Hi all, just checking in, had 20 week scan yesterday (19+5) and all is well, chosen not to find out baby's gender Smile I also have an anterior placenta! Feeling many kicks now.
Just moved house with DP too so a v busy week!

TobyLerone · 24/08/2013 17:36

Yay for star wrap! I haven't ordered mine yet but definitely will.

enormouse · 24/08/2013 18:21

Congrats on you scan lovelillies. I still have 2 weeks to go to my 20week scan and I'm getting really excited/nervous over it. It's a week Wednesday and I'm dying to know whether number 2 is pink or blue as it doesn't feel real to me yet.

How are everyone's older dcs taking it? Toddlermouse is very involved so to speak. Picks my top up to pat my tummy and 'talk' to it. And has decided on names. It's either going to be called 'the doctor' (as in who), 'Fox' (from the gruffalo) or 'Hercules' (errrm?no idea where he's got that from).

love great scan news! Grin

toby you wont be disappointed!!! Wink

enormouse aw bless toddlermouse! Hercules! Love it!,Grin

Does anyone else sometimes get a feeling (not sure how to describe it) of being physically irritated? Its not itching as such - its more a tingly feeling all over and I find it hard to sit still when it happens and I just wanna punch someone? I remember getting this from time to time when I was growing up, but havent had it for years. Normally occurs in the evening about once or twice a week. Right now it is driving me nuts! Angry

Sultanajo · 24/08/2013 19:01

Just been googling and I wonder if its restless leg syndrome. Its like a creepy crawling feeling - like ants are crawling over me - and I really feel an over whelming urge to move my frickin legs. Grrrrr! I can feel the RAGE building! Poor DH could be in for a rough evening if it carries on.....Sad

extracrunchy · 24/08/2013 19:33

Sultana I had that with my last pregnancy - absolute hell... Hope it goes away!

lovelilies · 24/08/2013 19:52

I have that sultana!!

Sultanajo · 24/08/2013 20:51

Thanks ladies! Thought I was going totally nuts! Have cooked dinner since and it has eased a bit.....its so weird and annoying! Confused

extracrunchy · 25/08/2013 01:43

I found flexing and unflexing my toes and sometimes hands helped - satisfied the urge to move but didn't wake DH!

Frizz1986 · 25/08/2013 07:18

Morning ladies. Urgh this leg thing seems awful. Really hoping its one thing i manage to avoid, feel a lot for those who get it!

Well wedding yesterday was lovely. Some things were not so great but i am a nit picker and tbh nothing is ever like your own wedding!
So dh was drinking my wine and sparkling for the toast. He seemed fine, he had a beer in the eve and then was about to go for another when i told him was he sure as he had maybe had enough. His response 'yes i am fine' so i said he should know his own limits so off he went to get another beer. He only drank half of it, started telling me he loved me and welled up a bit. I thought uhoh he is in drunk mode.
My dad came to collect us at 11, we get to the front door and after me asking if he is feeling ok the whole journey and him saying yes, as soon as we arrive at the door he says 'please open it faster'. Cue him running inside straight to bathroom to vom. Unfortunately he didnt quite make it all the way and due to his intense need to try and hold it in with his hand over his mouth etc, when it started so to say it kind of sprayed out all over my parents walls, doors and floor in a lovely mist. Cue me and my mum having to clean up up vom spray from all over the place (it went behind cupboards, through cracks in open doors into the next room.....) whilst my dad looked after the excited dog (who was excellently behaved)

Dh is now sound asleep upstairs and i have a feeling he will be rather mortified this morning as he is 27 and has thrown up all over my parents house! I doubt i will be allowed to tell anyone else so wanted to share.

I think it was because he had no lunch (wedding was at 2) and we only had canapes until the meal at 7:30 and it was rather tiny portions. Oh and come to think of it I forgot that he maybe had 2/3 glasses of wine on arrival (was totting up what he had and forgot about those! Damn continuous free drinks on arrival and with the meal) I also think he was maybe drowing hs sorrows a bit as he is pretty low about his work situation but of course refuses to talk about it. He did tell me in his drunk emotional state that he is really starting to love skeletor (the baby) but shhhhh dont tell anyone.

Hope others had less eventful evenings than me!

MrsVDB · 25/08/2013 10:02

frizz poor you. Drunk sick is the worst as it comes out at such speed!! I'm sure hell be mortified but you'll be able to laugh about it in future

Sultanajo · 25/08/2013 10:16

Thanks for the tip extra! Woke up at 5am with horrendous cramp in one leg! Omg the pain! Cue me leaping out of bed trying to walk it off! Blush Horrendous headache this morning - what I wouldnt give for a nurofen right now! Wink

Frizz what a picture you paint! Obviously that is what you were expecting all afternoon! How annoying! However, he wont be rushing to do that again I am sure! The bit where he said he was starting to love Skeletor brought a tear to my eye! Awwww! Grin

Sultanajo · 25/08/2013 10:17

Littlepeapod says hi to everyone. She is doing OK and is feeling movements every day now with a nice bump! Grin

MrsVDB · 25/08/2013 12:10

Panicked yesterday that I've spent too much on baby clothes already and had no idea what I had and what I still needed. Went through and wrote it all out. Feel a bit more organised but still no idea how much of each thing I need!!

Off to kiddicare today purely to have a browse as haven't looked at any of the big things yet. Not going to buy anything yet as still got building work in every room of the house so nowhere to put anything but want to work out what we will get. Lets hope for no too good to resist sales!!
