I've heard there are a few other dads out there but I can't figure out where?

I don't want to segregate us by creating a DADs ONLY section!

I'd far rather integrate with all the other parents!

It might be nice to have a few others to chat to! Smile so if you're a dad-to-be, a new dad or have been a dad for a little while, post something on here!! Grin

bluearmydad?

blueshoes · 07/06/2006 13:57

I imagine peacedove to be a man, but not necessarily a dad. But I try to keep out of those threads

Salamander · 07/06/2006 13:59

Rhubarb, are you still coming in September?

Salamander · 07/06/2006 14:47

Hi Anteater

Do you REALLY eat ants?

Hiya anteater! I don't think so now, H wants to rent house and is very optimistic that we will have somewhere to rent before Sept - might use your storage though if that's ok? Do you know anyone who wants to buy a caravan?

I wonder if PeaceDove and DominiConnor aren't the same person?

Blu

I caused confusion a couple of weeks ago by posting as Fauve when I thought I was logged in as clerkKent, in some thread that implied I was a man. It's not that I am schizophrenic.

I was abroad this week and have only just caught up...

Bonjour all - I am reliably informed that I was being very rude just asnwering the 'why' question by saying 'because'.

The reason I had blood drawn is that we have been on an excruciatingly annoying jounrey to try and find the Rehsus Facotr of my blood as my wife (Eenywifemum) is Rhesus Negative.

I have always believed I am too - since I was ill as a wee boy and needed hospitalisation. But i cannot confirm or refute my suspicions with various doctors, records, and so forth.

If we are both Rhesus Negative then all is well, if i'm Positive, then there CAN be complications - moreover with a second child, but also potentially during birth, and in RARE cases if there is some kind of trauma during Eeny's pregnancy.

So i have finally managed to have a blood test agreed, and on Wed or Thur I should know and we can go from there!

We wanted to avoid unecessary Anti-D injections, you see.

There we go - a more full answer than simply 'because'! Blush

oh my god sal wat have you started

Rhubarb · 11/06/2006 22:16

You're a bloke, you're allowed to be rude. Believe me, if I was offended then you'd know about it by now! Grin

I'm rhesus neg too, dunno what dh is, he never got tested. Both kids are rhesus neg too. Not a problem! Simple injection if there is a problem with you and the missus. My second child was born at home and no-one brought up the blood issue at all. Don't worry about it!

Salamander · 14/06/2006 12:40

Thanks Rhu!

I'm phoning up the docs today to find out if they have the results!
