Dont worry Totally - I was being sarcastic in calling it super strenuous. Very used to tearing through work at a rate of knots in the office so today felt v lazy. Sorry you've got a late finish tonight - but cling to the knowledge that its the last one for a while!

dinkystinky · 21/06/2013 18:25

In other news am a v proud mummy today as ds1 came home with a certificate of excellence today for improvements in maths and literacy!

cheekbyjowl · 21/06/2013 19:12

catching up on my way back from work on phone...

bb keep us updated. good luck. looking forward to hearing more (forget all that discussion on informing friends and parents, theres another eager audience right here Wink...but let us know in your own time, I'm excited for you )
schro any news? (see above )
shelley how was the.growth scan today?
thinking I agree. they seem the least affected. maybe we need oscars help to locate the payslips!

ohgood snap! I feel some disconcerting wiggles on my right and these little tremors like it's shaking a bowl of jelly. I keep thinking ...don't you dare go sideways kiddo or I'll have to sing total eclipse of the heart again, or perhaps travis....

cheekbyjowl · 21/06/2013 19:16

well done master dinky. great to hear. enjoy the theatre

OhGood · 21/06/2013 20:47

absz nightmare! Any luck?

marie and cheek thanks, reassuring to hear that it's not just my LO bobbing around more than he should be. Love the threat to sing total eclipse of the heart, I am such a terrible singer that would prob instantly bring on labour, poor little guy struggling to escape.

So.... solstice and pretty much full moon - wonder if this will bring on another crop of babies?

Thinkingof4 · 21/06/2013 22:39

There are bound to be some babies born this weekend I reckon...good luck everyone!

princessllama · 22/06/2013 04:11

Schro has had her baby! She has posted on fb.

Silver15 · 22/06/2013 04:51

Good morning!

Conguratulations Schro!

I'm in the 4am club today. I hope I go back to sleep as I have a busy day ahead.

I have been getting very sharp pains that last for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. They are however far between and usually happen when I get up. It's been happening for a week now and most pressure is on the cervix as if baby is eager to escape. Also get the pains if I go on the toilet and push anything out ( sorry Tmi). I think it's braxton hicks though I don't remember them being this painful with my first 2. Also baby was head down at my appt 2weeks ago but not engaged. Just wondering what's going on as the first 2 didn't engage until late and were both overdue.

35 weeks today.

dinkystinky · 22/06/2013 06:41

Congrats Schro! Hope you got some sleep Princess and Silver after your posts. Hows Humphrey doing Princess? Hope you both get to go home soon. Silver, those pains sound like sudden pressure pains on your cervix if they occur when gravity suddenly comes into play. I get those if I have a full bladder but they ease off if I empty it.

Pride and prejudice last night was great - very funny! Especially as there was a school group at the back of the theatre ooohing and aahing at the mushy bits! Random strangers in the audience were very sweet and wishing me luck as we made our easy home which was v nice too.

shelley72 · 22/06/2013 06:47

Congratulations Schro! hope you and your baby are doing well this morning.

Well I am home, which I am surprised about as I really was expecting the worst. They couldn't check the growth, as this was only measured last week, but the fluid level is the same and also the placenta is still working well, so I'm taking those as good signs. And I'm still getting lots of movement which is also good. Was lovely to see the baby, not sure it looks like it's siblings though! Baby is extended breech with feet up by its head. Have another scan (growth, fluid and cord) and review booked for next week so they can't be overly concerned!

Was also surprised to be offered an ecv, and to be told I could even leave it to 42 weeks all being well before section - not that I would. I saw a different doctor yesterday and the difference in options given was amazing. I have to mull things over and let midwife know next week. Had a failed ecv before so not sure I want to try again. I also have to have more bp checks this week just to check that I'm not developing PE but that's ok.

sorry that was a bit rambling but just to let you know I'm trying to hang on and not join the June club !

dinkystinky · 22/06/2013 07:06

Glad you had a good appt Shelley - just goes to show what a difference the Dr you see can make! Do you feel like you had all your questions answered? Spinning babies website has some good ideas on trying to encourage breech babies to turn. I know some people have tried acupuncture to turn breech babies with some success.

MrsRoss26 · 22/06/2013 08:11

Fab news shelley, how great to have decent care!

dinky so it wasn't a wash-out? You're making me wish for open air theater, and I haven't been in years!

Fingers crossed there are fewer births this weekend? I know plenty of us are getting fed up, particularly the insomniacs club, but let's have some left for July please! Grin

dinkystinky · 22/06/2013 08:29

Fortunately it rained half four to 5, then the sun came out and was a lovely evening, then rained copiously overnight afterwards, so worked out perfectly!

Thinkingof4 · 22/06/2013 10:37

schro congratulations! Hope birth went ok and little one is behaving

Shelley great to hear you had a better appt and have some options about what to do

dinky sounds like great fun. I kind of like it when strangers wish you luck in last few weeks of pregnancy, don't even mind all the 'not long now' type comments at the moment

Well dh has taken boys off to collect a big plastic slide which he is going to (somehow) attach to the tree house to make it even more fun. He made the treehouse last summer, took a looong time but boys love it. Our garden will end up like an adventure playground Grin
New furniture arriving today between 5pm-9pm - strange that it's so late but as long as it arrives safely I don't mind. Can't wait to reorganise our bedroom!! Enjoy the weekend everyone

photographerlady · 22/06/2013 11:22

schro congratulations!

shelley glad this appointment was better.

Worst night sleep so far last night. DH was convinced I was in labour as I kept waking up curled over in pelvic pain. It just felt like the side of my pelvic bones were being crushed. Combined with nausea and LO kicking in all the wrong places. It's been a full week of terrible sleep. Sorry for my 2am whine on Facebook. Breathing tenuous really calmed me but the problem was as soon as I fell off to sleep I get another wave of pain.

At least the LO is alright, she's causing waves right now tumbling around as I lay on the sofa. Lots of afternoon naps I reckon today.

photographerlady · 22/06/2013 11:23

Technique not tenuous, silly phone.

dinkystinky · 22/06/2013 11:33

Thinking - am so jealous of your garden. Treehouse with slide sounds awesome!

Photographer - take it really easy today and try and get some dozes in, in whatever position works for you. Sorry you are suffering so much - the end is in sight!

princessllama · 22/06/2013 12:21

Yes, thinking am also jealous of your garden, my kids would love that, am in awe of your dh being able to do that.

Glad the theatre was good dinky
Isnt it a relief that schro's baby arrived safely , was so worried for her.
I wish you lots of daytime sleep photographer lady and less pelvic pain.
Humphrey is slowly waking up and feeding better. Now just has nasogastric tube . It is exhausting because i go to feed him every 4 hours then come back downstairs to express. Yesterday they tried to evict me because theysaid they needed the bed and said i could probably have it back by 9 but notdefinately. Got really upset about how i was going to get in and out of hosp in time for all feeds. Magical dh managed to back them down v calmly. I really love that man. Today , i had a bit of a shock to discover consultant on duty is the moron we saw when dd was 8 weeks and he didnt realise she had droppedfrom 75th to 9th centile and was starving. As he started talking to me abouthumphrey's weight loss and bf milk fortifier i lost it in a teary agressive mess and told him why i was feeling so antagonistic. The nurseand lactation mw looked stunned. Anyway feel betterfor it andjust have to waitfor handover on monday to someonei trust. In meantime i think he will bebeing verycareful...

Hurray for MrLlama being the voice of reason and common sense prevailing - hopefully both you and Humphrey will be going home together very very soon. I'm sorry you came across the consultant you have such bad memories of Princessllama - good on you for telling him why you feel the way you do though.

Schro congratulations, so pleased for you.

Shelley it sounds like you're being looked after really well and despite all the worry your LO is fine and you have a lot of options open to you.

Dinky sounds like a wonderful evening.

Abzs i hope you find them soon. Last time I was pg I lost a trainer and found it on a window ledge behind the curtains! Now seem to have misplaced all the muslims I brought, washed and iorned so probably not the best person to ask Smile

Princess your DH sounds amazing. I hope you don't have too see the consultant before Monday but well done for telling him why you have an issue with him. Sounds like Humphrey is doing really really well.

Thinking enjoy reorganising your bedroom. Slide sounds fantastic, can I have a go!

sliver and photographer I hope you both get a better nights sleep tonight. I'm waking up lots but managing to get back to sleep fairly quickly, though still sneaked off for a half hour nap earlier while DH and DS were busy in the garden.

dinkystinky · 22/06/2013 16:37

MarieKL - Ironing muslins? Wow that's Huber nesting!!

Abzs · 22/06/2013 16:54

The payslip mystery continues. Luckily I haven't done any 'filing' since january so I have enough to send off my MA1, but it would have been to do as the DWP suggest and choose the 4 months I worked the most from the test period. Ah well, at least my bank statements and P60s still seem to be here so I can do my tax return.

Congratulations to the early arrivals! Hope everyone is doing well.

I'm hoping the mw was right in her first estimate of my due date - 30th June - as a week sooner would be great right now. Feeling the same cervix/pelvis/bh pains as others report, but almost constantly. It's getting very tiring. Managed 30mins gentle weeding this pm then needed a nap!

SundaySunshine · 22/06/2013 17:08

Congratulations Schro Grin Flowers

shelley72 · 22/06/2013 17:20

yet another update from me. seems i dont have as many options as i thought this time yesterday. had a call from MW this morning and she was quite horrified that an ECV was even offered given my previous section. i was surprised it was presented to me yesterday as i was sure i had read that it wasnt recommended which is why i was kind of caught unawares. anyway apparently my tummy muscles are so tight (ha!) that even without my history it probably wouldnt work. and it didnt with DD though she was a slightly more awkward case.

so now im in limbo again - no date set, and no hospital review until 39+2 Shock. whilst i wanted to make it as near as possible to due date i am now starting to get a bit twitchy about having a breech on board.

it was mentioned to me yesterday that i may have a heart shaped uterus (sounds pretty!) and that is why all my babies have been breech. surely though someone would have noticed / thought to mention this before? how would they find out? not that it would make much of a difference to me as this is definitely the last one (oh yes it is), but if its something thats genetic then it could affect my DCs should any man ever be brave enough to take on my daughter.

whoever mentioned ironing muslins, doesnt everyone?!
