Persuasion you're so right, doesn't seem long at all since the viability dance conga'd through the thread and now we're starting to reach term - crazy! Another week for me to reach that point though.

Princessllama welcome to Humphrey, and congratulations! Hope his stay in NICU is a short one and you're all home soon.

I got some lovely flowers at work today and after leaving early for MW appointment have been busy baking cake to take in tomorrow. My BP measured normal so is either up and down or not the cause of dizziness, they've taken some blood to check my iron levels, but MW said it could just be my body telling me to slow down.

I officially declare this Thursday's 4am club open Sad. Care to join me, anyone?

princessllama · 13/06/2013 05:18

Humphreyis not having a good night, he is now on ventilator and has long lines because his oxygen levels are not good enough. slightly terrifying going up to visit him and every time something is worse. Hoping for more positive news next time i go up.
I am so glad for those of you coming to the end of work- such a great feeling. Enjoy the cake!

Oh morning.
I've been up since four as well. Might go and rustle up some breakfast soon.
Princess congratulations on the arrival of Humphrey and I hope he feels better soon. Maybe he's still surprised to be in the world already?
I'm still working so a little behind on all these posts, I hope everyone is well.

IcingTheCake · 13/06/2013 05:36

Whoops my body must've forgotten its 4! Was awake 2:30-3:30 and been awake about fifteen minutes now.

princess i have already said on fb but im sorry to ear about Humphrey, but these 'July' babies are little troopers and he'll bounce back soon enough im sure Smile

34+5 but feeling like its been 100+ weeks!

SlouchingPanda · 13/06/2013 05:37

Fingers crossed for the splendidly-named Humphrey - I hope today is a good day for you and him and that he turns a corner soon.

Sadly I'm not heading back to sleep... the countdown to my 6am alarm and the mild panic about the number of things I need to do before I finish work tomorrow mean I got up and started doing admin. No doubt I'lll be feeling grim later.

IcingTheCake · 13/06/2013 05:38

Oooh Slouching not good! You'll nee to have an afternoon nap Smile not much more work left now though

IcingTheCake · 13/06/2013 05:40

Just to let you know, any spelling mistakes on my part must be excused as i am on the phone and its ridiculous o'clock Wink please and thank you Grin

princessllama · 13/06/2013 05:47

Runswith squirrels and slouching willing you on with last days/ weeks work. Icing have you finished yet? It reminds me of being a wayward teen, the feeling you get later in the day, as if you've been on an all night bender, can almost taste the hangover!

I hope you manage to get some sleep at some point too.

princessllama · 13/06/2013 05:57

IcingTheCake · 13/06/2013 06:16

princess yeah, one week store manager had put me forward to another store for a permanent position that was a promotion too Shock and the next week when she found out i was pregnant she was saying it was such a shame i wouldn't benefit from maternity leave Hmm

SlouchingPanda · 13/06/2013 06:33

Icing - ouch at your work situation. Sounds very much like discrimination to me...

I'm feeling a bit more human after bacon and eggs and a coffee. Off for my penultimate day at the coal face... not sure I'll manage an afternoon nap if yesterday is anything to go by (left work 2h late Sad), but I can always hope.

Have a good day everyone.
36+0 today... another week down!

dinkystinky · 13/06/2013 06:35

Morning early risers. Princess - hugs to you and Humphrey. He's in my prayers and thoughts and am sending him (and you) white light and strength - I hope he has a much, much better day today x

MummyKanny · 13/06/2013 08:40

Morning all,

Wow congratulations Princess! Humphrey is a lovely name. Hope his night got better and he is doing okay this morning. Sending lots of positive vibes.

Gosh, lots more early risers this morning! This sleeping on my side malarkey is not helping my old lady hip at all. Grump. But am working from home tomorrow so only one more commute this week and hopefully there is time for an afternoon nap tomorrow. Had a positive day at work yesterday handing over the bulk of my work load so feeling much better Smile

Is anyone else a little bloated? I'm feeling like a balloon at times, only relieved by a trump! Blush

dinkystinky · 13/06/2013 09:10

Those of you suffering from pregnancy insomnia, I really recommend hypnobirthing downloads - the rainbow relaxation one (can get it for free online) sends me off to sleep within 2 minutes of putting it on (not meant to but hey, not going to look a gift horse in the mouth)! Sadly DH cant sleep through it so he has to get up to turn it off once I'm snoring away, but its a small sacrifice (for him) to make Grin

I'm 37 weeks today and tomorrow is my last day at work. I feel its about time to start leave (I have one weeks holiday then start mat leave just after 38 and a half weeks) as I have a fair few tasks at home to sort out before Bean arrives. Slouching - hope today passes smoothly and you get to put your feet up for a bit.

MummyKanny - pregnancy plays havoc with your digestive system so not surprised you're feeling bloated.

Isitme1 · 13/06/2013 09:23

Hi all.
Just popped in to see how everyone is going.

Congratulations princess. Hope he feela better soon.

How excited are we!! Cant wait for lo to come.
Ds (2yrs) was pulling on bump and said baby was stuck lol.

Have a question and wondering if anyone is in the same boat?
I have kidney problems (recurrent utis plus 1 not working properly and on long term antibiotics) had a growth scan on Monday and and baby is measuring 37 weeks and I was 34+2 on Monday. Ds1 was big and I had a lot of problems during birth. Aibu to ask them to induce at latest 38 weeks? It wasnt my regular consultant who saw me so she didn't really know the ins and outs of last labour. They will see me on the 1s to make another plan. ?

Any aadvice?

X
34+5 x

BB01 · 13/06/2013 09:27

Hope Humphrey is doing better now - so sorry to hear he's having problems. Fingers crossed for him and hope you're ok.

Hope all those still at work manage to battle through your last few days or weeks. Hurrah for those starting leave soon!

dinkystinky · 13/06/2013 10:12

I think one of the other posters on here is signed off sick due to health issues Isitme (think she only has one kidney from memory but suffering from spectacular pregnancy brain at the moment so could be wrong) so she might have some thoughts to cast on it from her own perspective. I think the best person for you to speak to is your usual consultant though as she'll be most familiar with your body/kidney function and best placed to advise.

paolocee · 13/06/2013 10:15

Congrats Princess. Holding thumbs (as they say in Sverige) for Humphrey. Great name!

VinegarDrinker · 13/06/2013 10:19

Isit I doubt they would want to induce you before 38 weeks, it would certainly be against national guidance to do so "just" for a big baby, although obviously you may be able to persuade your Consultant. There is no evidence that inducing early reduces problems with big babies hence guidance against it. If you do push for induction be aware of the increased risk of CS, epidural, instrumental deliveries etc, although this will be lower as it isn't your first.

princessllama congratulations and so sorry to hear Humphrey is having a rough start in life. Do they have any idea why? Just slightly immature lungs? As someone else said though he's a great weight so hopefully will pick up very quickly.

37+2 today and forcing myself to start on The Great Spring Clean.

dinkystinky · 13/06/2013 10:29

Nice to see you on Paolocee - how are all your lovely girls doing? Hope OH is fully recovered and you're all home - or shortly going home.

TotallyEggFlipped · 13/06/2013 11:17

Morning everyone. If I'd known you were all online at crazy o'clock I could've joined you for a chat!
Day off work today. Looking after DD is exhausting! Not sure I'm ready for 2. Grin

dinkystinky · 13/06/2013 11:48

I'm sure it was a week and a half of looking after ds1 that brought on my labour with ds2 Totally :-)

Thinkingof4 · 13/06/2013 13:40

Hi all, can't believe you were all up so early!

Hope Humphrey is having a better day princess

I was at midwife today, measuring 38 so pretty ok at 37+2 I think. Next appt is on my due date and I can have a sweep then if I want. Be nice to think I won't need that appt but suspect I will. Mw reminded me re writing a birth plan so I think I will do that this afternoon while ds3 has his nap

Sun shining here again today and I'm feeling hot!
