Happy birthday to dc4 and hope your apt today is informative and reassuring Different. Am also an early riser nowadays.

Those of you following Shivs thread should probably hop on there to send her, MrShiv and Oliver some love and support as he's had a turn for the worse - bad gases so no progression to bpap and it appears to be a metabolic issue.

photographerlady · 12/06/2013 08:24

Morning ladies... Get some sleep!

I can't belief how busy I am being off work now. It's just endless appointments and driving lessons. Today is an active birth workshop run by the hospital. I like when active is in the same sentence as "bring a blanket and pillow". Same with yoga tonight heehee.

princessllama · 12/06/2013 08:31

Hello, baby no name born just before midnight after a v slow managed induction( give or take a bit of serious contractions in park- dh trying to be desperaty calm and get me back to hospital as they were2 min apart)
He weighed 7lb 4oz.. Sadly he wasnt breathing well so he is in nicu. It is v hard not to be able to hold him and seehim so uncomfy, dont know how shiv does it. V tired.

wifey6 · 12/06/2013 09:12

Congratulations princess! Gentle hugs for you & your baby boy x
I can not imagine how hard it must be to have a baby in nicu...but let's hope he is out of there very soon & then you will have all the time in the world to enjoy newborn cuddles x

IcingTheCake · 12/06/2013 09:13

Congratulations princess i hope you get your snuggles soon Smile for now just get as much rest as possible!

To the other 4am-ers i hope you all got back to sleep! I was up from about 3-6:30 then my OH woke me up at 8:30 not realising i hadn't slept well Grin wasn't happy! Am so looking forward to having this baby, i probably will miss parts of being pregnant, but the overall uncomfortableness is enough to make me glad its near the end!

34+4

BB01 · 12/06/2013 09:17

Congratulations Princess. Glad little one is here safely and fingers crossed he'll be home with you ASAP xxx

cheekbyjowl · 12/06/2013 09:24

there were a few of you up at 4 crikey. hope you all managed to catch up on sleep. congratulations princess let us know how he gets on and when you pick out a name. hope his little lungs mend quickly.

different good luck today, glad so.many on here could advise.you. my mil would always change her youngest birthday so it suited the family timetable. if she hadn't made cake in time she would just keep quiet. then on a quiet sunday when she had had time to prepare a tea and wrap presents she would just wake him up and day "freddy it's your birthday" he was always delighted and never noticed it had actually been his birthday 5 days before Grin

Thinkingof4 · 12/06/2013 09:40

princess congratulations on arrival of your son. Hope you are managing to get some rest, it's exhausting having wee one in nicu, but he's a great size so hopefully will be back with you soon

different happy birthday to your dc4, hope today goes well

Going to catch up with shiv on the other thread, sending positive vibes to little Oliver

DifferentNow · 12/06/2013 09:45

Congratulations princess. Hope today brings you rest and snuggly cuddles.

More good vibes to shiv and Oliver. I think of your family often.

notprincesskate · 12/06/2013 09:45

Congratulations princess I hope that baby has a settled day and you get cuddles soon.
I managed to drop off on the sofa, sitting upright the escape the heartburn, but only about 40 mins before DH & DD got up, so now I'm just passing the time before DD goes to nursery and I can crawl into bed, I've got that hungover feeling that you get when you've had too long for a nap, but too short time for a decent sleep, thank goodness for 'beebies' again.
cheek I'm very Grin at your mil and moving bdays.

dinkystinky · 12/06/2013 10:05

Princess - congratulation on the safe arrival of our thread's very own prince Llama. He's a great weight and I hope he'll be out of NICU very soon. I hope you're recovering well from the birth too. Take it easy and am sure you'll get those much longed for cuddles very, very soon.

Cheek - ROFL at your MIL!

Persuasion · 12/06/2013 11:04

Congratulations Princess I hope baby llama is doing well and gets off nicu asap.

I Was up at midnight, 3 and 5 so I missed all of you! Fortunately none of them were protracted for me last night.

Different welcome back. Sorry you've had a tough time of it. I don't know much about GD but it sounds from others like you got the worst possible version of events. Definitely discuss with the consultant and complain if necessary.

I'm just waiting for my last growth scan, 37 weeks today, and doing a little "term" dance. It doesn't seem two minutes since the viability dances!

dinkystinky · 12/06/2013 11:16

Congrats on hitting term Persuasion - hope the growth scan goes well.

For those in the look out for bf bras, zulilly has a hotmilk bra sale on today - 65% off.

TotallyEggFlipped · 12/06/2013 11:16

Good luck with the scan, Persuasion, & enjoy your dance Wink.

I'm another one who was awake a lot last night. 2-3 then 4-5. I think it's training for when we'll be up for night feeds. Not that that kind of positive attitude is much comfort at the crack of crazy am.

shelley72 · 12/06/2013 13:08

seems it was the night for wakefulness last night. DD woke me up at 2.20 then fidgeted for the next hour, i eventually dropped off just before 5 and then DS woke up. am beyond exhausted so just got back from my pre baby haircut and having a nice sit down and cup of tea before the school/nursery run begins.

congratulations princessllama your DS sounds a very good weight so im sure you will be enjoying lots of snuggles soon.

like persuasion am also 37 weeks today, so fully term Grin

off to check out zulilly now (thanks dinky) - though had a major wobble in the night about not feeling that i want to BF the baby. maybe its just one of those 4am worries!

Congratulations Princess. Hope you both are mending well and that he'll be home with you soon.

elliejjtiny · 12/06/2013 18:12

Congratulations princess. Hope Humphrey is out of NICU soon.

Persuasion · 12/06/2013 18:14

Oooh I LOVE Humphrey! What a good name.

My scan was fine, chip is head down, with back to the left/front so in perfect position. And size was fine too, they estimated her weight today to be 6lb3oz. The head measurement was slightly small but apparently this is pretty normal if the head is tucked in the pelvis, so I don't need to have anymore scans, just wait for her to be cooked!

I did just want to point out that it was a metaphorical dance, not an actual one while I was in the scan waiting room Blush

MrsRoss26 · 12/06/2013 20:03

Wow, you have all been chatty! I think I'm mostly up to date on fb, but congrats on the recent arrivals, and fingers crossed all of our littl'uns get to go home soon.

I'm so annoyed on your behalf different, that's an awful experience. I hope you complain / get the right advice eventually.

Otherwise, just popping my head in to say hullo and hope all you 4am wakers get to enjoy some properly restful naptime soon. I'm just being plagued by puffiness at the moment, but counting down the days left at work (4!!)

34 Grin

CitizenOscar · 12/06/2013 20:04

Congrats princess. Hope the little one gets out of nicu soon so you can give him loads of cuddles and get home.
