One last thread from me, Sparks hope you're ready, you're sneezing on this one :):):)

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
cartoontrickster · 09/07/2013 13:13

under 3mm is what I thought but I'm staying away from Dr goggle! can't see that we'd get high risk but u never know I guess.
I'm a little disappointed about the placenta thing too. but as long as its not a problem. they didn't even tell me I just read it on the report.
keep are you fully in maternity clothes now? how bout you sweetie?

keepitgoing · 09/07/2013 13:30

That's my book, not Dr Google! I have no maternity clothes yet, just bought some cheap long tops to hide when I go round with hairbands on my trousers! Will buy once we are back in UK.

cartoontrickster · 09/07/2013 13:51

I use hairbands too! I was doing so well until I went on holiday and gained 6lbs! I've been wearing dresses and leggings since we got back im too scared to put on any trousers/Jeans haha

Solars · 09/07/2013 14:44

Keep I don't know why but I have been quite calm about the scans, I know I will panic when it comes to the nuchal scan though. I have started to panicking today though, I just found out a couple of ladies I was cycling with at ARGC had scans done this week and they've found no heartbeat and the babies have stopped growing, one was at 7w4d and the other at 8w4d. It's so scary and made me think I'm still definitely not out the woods yet. In terms of ARGC discharging me I have no idea, I've heard of ladies still having ivig and intralipids 'til quite late on and I guess they keep monitoring until they feel satisfied. I never asked about the intralipids on the NHS but I can't image they would do it. They're actually ok, no side effects, it just makes your arm cold locally when it's going in, takes about an hour to hour and a half.

Trix I already can't get into my skinny jeans and trousers, I don't know what has happened to the size of my thighs and butt recently!!

cartoontrickster · 09/07/2013 15:07

solars those poor ladies. but don't let that worry you. I'm sure you will be fine Smile . my bloating early on was awful I very quickly found I was uncomfortable in my skinny jeans so there's no hope now! I do own one pair of maternity jeans which may have to come out sooner than I wanted if this lovely weather doesn't last, lets face it it never does in this country!

keepitgoing · 09/07/2013 15:48

Oh solars those poor ladies, how awful.

More than half my wardrobe has been retired! But my bump is oddly high up, low down where I assume Kip is looks quite normal. Weird. Dh has been taking a photo a week, its great to look and see how much I've changed even if to others it mightn't be that noticeable.

I'm hoping its cold when we come home. Sorry!

cartoontrickster · 09/07/2013 16:03

isn't there some old wives tale about being able to tell the gender from whether your carrying high or low.
sorry keep I need warm weather so I can live in maxi dresses.

I've been thinking, if I'm already a bit tubby will it take longer for me to actually look pregnant? will I spend longer in that stage where people can't decide if your fat or pregnant?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 09/07/2013 18:12

I am absolutely loving the weather, unfortunately toddly and baby boo aren't :(:( 2 hot little sausages today!

Trix I'm a big girl and it was quite obvious from about 14/16 weeks what was happening I miss my bump

OP posts:
cartoontrickster · 09/07/2013 18:22

thanks boo I just I can't wait to get that stage! I'm feeling a bit of a fatty at the moment because any weight I gain always goes on the belly and its a bit wobbly! really I'm still only a 10/12 so I know that's hardly obese. just feel a bit of a chunk.

Munxx · 09/07/2013 20:32

Just popping in to see how you all are!

Blooming nicely I see Wink

keep I had anterior placentas with both DD and DS. I felt DD move at 22 weeks, little flutters and bubbles but I think the description you have given of a heartbeat on another place is a good description too. How exciting! I felt DS from 11 weeks, despite the placenta being anterior again.

I never had large movements, just bumps and hiccups. With DS I ended up having a lot of monitoring because I couldn't reliably feel movement and the hospital were brilliant, took it all very seriously and had me in every other day to make sure all was well.

As for showing, I showed at 10 weeks with DD and 8 weeks with DS.

I miss being pregnant too Boo!

I wish I were closer to you Sweetie I have bags and bags of baby clothes I am getting rid of!

DreamingOfAFullNightsSleep · 10/07/2013 06:59

Oooh, so exciting to hear all your news! solars I found it really hard not to obsess about all the terrible stories out there. I was better with dd, terrible with the dts!! Though i did refuse to contemplate them coming early. I didn't plan for that at all, bar a tiny internal admission that prem labour and scbu were possibilities. I figure you need NOTHING ready for prematurity as the hospital will sort them out, they won't be dressed initially and you can get what's needed as and when you need it because sadly then its not like they'll be at home. So, I had 4 "up to 5lb" babygros which were handed down to me, then just the "up to 7lb" stuff.

I had an anterior placenta with dd, didn't feel much til after my 20 week scan, but posterior with the dts and felt them both at 16-17 weeks.

Showing, with dd someone at work said "oh you're pregnant! " at about 25 weeks- clearly thought I was just fat til then. I showed at about 16-17 weeks with her, 8 weeks with the dts! In terms of showing, I just think some people are more observant than others!

SweetieTime · 10/07/2013 09:36

I would say I am starting to show now at 15 weeks. I bought a couple of maturity tops in the H&M sale for only £4 each. On the whole I have been in my baggier tunics with leggings in a bigger size. I also got a couple of skirts without waistband from Matalan, these are really comfy.

I went to get those little sleep suits in smallest size. But they had sold out so twins are still naked apart from half a cardi my DM is knitting.

I have taken to sitting with my feet in a bucket of cold water. it is lovely in this weather. Although the dog is fascinated by it and keeps drinking the water

cartoontrickster · 10/07/2013 10:52

ah its lovely to hear when you all started being 'bumpy' Grin. hopefully not too much longer for me then at 12 +4!

cartoontrickster · 10/07/2013 10:55

love that dog is drinking your feet water sweetie hehe.

SweetieTime · 10/07/2013 11:34

Trix how time flies. You really coming along. Dog is officially gross.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 10/07/2013 22:05

Wow what a day, might I borrow a dog?? It might stop stupid women walking into my house thinking they're somewhere else Shock

Revelation of the day came from toddly boo who proudly announced that eggs are actually chicken poo because they came from a chickens bum Grin

So how are all you blooming preggos and new mummy's doing? Make sure you all drink plenty of water, you need it in this weather!

keepitgoing · 11/07/2013 02:10

Wtf boo, was she crazy?

So, how quick will a second labour be for my sis? I am rather excited, just had a little cry, not sure why.

I have my scan on Sat

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 11/07/2013 04:54

Crazy and rude Keep as if you just walk in without knocking Shock labour could be a little quicker, they say because your body remembers what to do it does it better the second time round. You'll be fine on Saturday, will you ask what sex kip is?

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 11/07/2013 05:10

Nope - we want it to be a surprise. But recently I am convinced it's a girl. What do you say to my bump then, boo? And why do you have so few photos on fb? Toddlyboo is so gorgeous!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 11/07/2013 07:43

I could flood FB with my beautiful and probably gifted and talented children, but it would only make the others feel bad Grin off for another look at your FB pic, was doing an early feed before :)

GreenOlives · 11/07/2013 08:10

You fell off my threads!! Blush
Will read back later - must post more instead of just reading so I don't lose you again! Smile

cartoontrickster · 11/07/2013 08:32

keep are you on fb too! perhaps I will have to rejoin. but only to be friends with brookers.
can someone kindly come and smash my scales please, another lb on Confused . and so begins my rant!
you may have noticed I'm very obsessed with my weight gain. I cant stop myself and I do worry its all been for nothing still. so I have yet again gained half a stone in the first trimester! making me a stone and a half heavier since Xmas. gah! I know it shouldnt matter to me.
is it too soon for maturity jeans?

cartoontrickster · 11/07/2013 08:53

maturity? stupid phone Blush .
anyway so I tried on this morning the only pair of jeans which had fitted me and I can just about get them in but I can't even do the zip half way so I don't think even a hairband can save them now. I am currently wearing a pair of leggings that keep rolling down under my belly.
by the looks of things most of my wardrobe is no longer wearable.
help what can I wear!
hope I haven't completly bored you all.
boo why did some butter just stroll into your house?!
