O chocolou, so sorry to hear about your friends sonThanks The poor thing! But they have to remain positive there are some excellent care facilities especially for kids with good success stories so hopefully he'll be one of the troopers and he'll beat it!

extracrunchy · 17/05/2013 08:33

Chocolou that's an awful thing for them to be going through Sad so sorry to hear.

Donttry thinking of you too. It's so hard not to worry when it's happened before, but it may very well be normal. Are you going to get a scan today?

I'm just counting down hours to Monday and second scan to find out if this pregnancy is going ahead. By coincidence they've also arranged booking appointment for later the same day. Will be either very happy occasion or I'll have to ring and tell them there's no baby. Confused

Sultanajo · 17/05/2013 08:43

Choco that must have been such a shock. Hope you are doing ok.

Extra you are doing so well!!! Gosh everything happens at once doesnt it! Will keep everything firmly crossed for u! Thanks

extracrunchy · 17/05/2013 08:54

Bah dunno if I'm doing all that well... I mean I'm getting on with it for DS but I did talk DH into taking the day off yesterday cos I couldn't face another day of being fun and sparky when all I want to do is hide under a duvet! Will all be ok in the end, one way or another.

lovelilies · 17/05/2013 09:01

Having pain on right side of pubic bone, no bleeding but worried Sad so I'm in EPAU. am supposedly 5 weeks today so not sure what they can do.... feels like someone poking hard with their finger in one spot... please someone reassure me this is normal, and not ectopic!

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 17/05/2013 09:04

love - I definitely had that with DS. Think it was implantation pain. Glad you're at the EPU though - you're in the best place to get good advice Flowers

extracrunchy · 17/05/2013 09:05

Not lovelilies worrying too!! I also had that with DS and all was well. Fingers crossed x

bluecarrot · 17/05/2013 09:40

Just popping in to say hi to everyone and thoughts are with those who are awaiting scans and tests. X

winterpansy · 17/05/2013 09:41

Oh my! Just back from epau. Tiny little heartbeat flicker! All is well. Spotting could be cervical erosion. I was only one day out with my dates so new date is Jan 5th.

Phew!

Have a great Friday everyone x

donttrythisathome · 17/05/2013 09:56

So sorry to hear about your friends DS choclou, very upsetting.
My bleedings didn't come to anything i.e. stopped so feeling hopeful and will wait for scan on Monday. Hope the pain is nothing lovelilies.

extracrunchy · 17/05/2013 09:57

Lovely news, winter!!

MrsHowardRoark · 17/05/2013 10:04

That's such good news Winter, it must have been amazing to see.

I've just found out that I can't see my GP for another two weeks, so I'm unlikely to have my booking appointment before 10 weeks. This has made me very nervous as that was the time of my last mc.

I know seeing someone won't change anything but it would make me feel better.

TobyLerone · 17/05/2013 10:07

Good news, winter.

Thinking of everyone having a tough time.

I'm looking after my
18mo nephew today and admiring those of you doing early pregnancy with a little one. I did it, but I think I've blocked it out. I don't remember much about it.

donttrythisathome · 17/05/2013 10:10

MrsHoward - my GP appointment was just over the phone so won't make any difference. Its just "congratulations and now go see the MW". It would be nice to see the midwife before 10 weeks though - when are you seeing the midwife?

donttrythisathome · 17/05/2013 10:11

Oh sorry, you said you'd see the MW at 10 weeks - that is a bit of a pain. I am really pissed off with our GP surgery recently. Service is gone right down.

lovelilies · 17/05/2013 10:13

Had the scan (internal) there was a blob on screen which puts me at 5 weeks, no foetus or heart beat, which they say is normal for early on, suggest re-scan in 1 week.
Just awaiting the official verdict from the midwife on epau now... I'm meant to be at work- told everyone I'm doing an "audit" Grin

cosmickitten · 17/05/2013 10:21

MrsGSR I?m so sorry, there are no words xx

Sultanajo what a rollercoaster and what a lovely ending!

Donttry sorry your have the evil spotting, hope you get to epu for some answers soon.

Extra feeling in limbo while you wait is a horrid feeling, roll on Monday!
Love ? very scary thinking of you

Winter ? lovely news

MrsHoward ? don?t think booking in happens until 10 weeks in my area. The difference in treatment between regions seems rather unfair to me.

Sorry if I?ve missed anyone out, this thread moves fast!!!

It turns enforced sofa time is not all that relaxing. It is quite dull in fact and doing nothing is making my mind race. However, the pain from Wednesday is now an ache and bleeding is now brown spotting. Combined with seeing a heartbeat I?m starting to feel some hope that things maybe ok. Intend to leave the sofa soon and start pottering. If no more bleeding occurs I think I can relax a bit more.

Sultanajo · 17/05/2013 10:21

Hey Love what did they say about the pain you were having? X

Sultanajo · 17/05/2013 10:26

Winter thats just great!!!

Cosmic fingers crossed when u get off the sofa its all ok. Glad u r feeling more positive xx

chocoloulou33 · 17/05/2013 10:47

lovlies & winter hurray to some good news. How lovely xxx

MrsGSR · 17/05/2013 11:05

Well now I have no idea what's going on. I rang the epau because they want me to come back in tomorrow for another blood test but hadn't given me a time.

The nurse I spoke to yesterday definately said that my levels on tuesday were really high but they weren't as high yesterday so it didn't look good. Whilst on the phone today I asked what my levels dropped by, and this nurse said they didn't drop, they just didn't go up as much as they should. I have no idea if one of the nurses read the blood results the wrong way round, or if the first nurse meant that they weren't as high as they should be, rather than they weren't as high as tuesdays (if so she definately could have worded it better)

I've litterally spent the last 16 hours in bed in tears completely believing I've miscarried and it's just a matter of time before I start bleeding and now there is a little bit of hope. After the blood test tomorrow I'm having a scan on tuesday, so hopefully then I'll know for sure what's going on.

winterpansy · 17/05/2013 11:17

mrsg So sorry to hear you're still in limbo with everything. Hope you can get some answers as soon as possible Flowers

Sorry for others going through a tough time too x

Thanks for the good wishes, ladies. I know it's still early days but it's really reassuring. I found the early scan pic of my DS and it's at the same gestation as he was in that pic - how weird to have a pic of both of them at the same size. Just a blob really though, can't pick out any features Wink

chocoloulou33 · 17/05/2013 11:18

OMG mrsG that's not on at all that they haven't been clear with you. But good news that there is now hope of course. Just hope ur ok. Try to rest if possible xxx

TheSlug · 17/05/2013 11:20

MrsG I'm so sorry. massive hugs to you x x

Mummy MTB what time is your scan today? Thinking of you Xx

I've been getting the head rushes too! It happens every time I get out of the bath, and a lot when I stand up from having been sat down for a while. Weird! Confused

I was sick for the first time (not ever!) last night. Not nice. It was just as I was getting ready for dance too Sad so didn't go as I felt v sorry for myself. Gutted I missed it though!

apart from that, nothing new, still really funny about certain foods, and smells are really getting to me now as well. This morning I opened a new packet of cereal which I'd been really looking forward to, but as soon it was open it smelled like sick and I couldn't bear to eat it. Rubbish!

cosmickitten · 17/05/2013 11:23

MrsGSRP I'm not really sure what to say, so I'm really sorry if I word this wrong. I am sorry that you are going through all of this. Not getting clear information and the endless waiting just makes it so much harder.

I wish there was something I could say or do to help you.
