Mw said they induce because of it between 37&39 weeks. I knew I was itching but I didn't think it was that bad. Although now she's sad it I can't stop scratching.
Yeah something to do with the liver and bile, and a risk to baby, and it goes within a week of baby being born. Past that I have no idea.

So are they suggesting induction now or will they monitor for a while?

That's what I was tested for frus as had it last time and both my mum and sis had it, it's very rare especially if you've not had it before in other pregnancys, yes they always induce as they don't know of the dangers of leaving baby in but aside from that you will have nothing else at this stage, if you had it earlier you get vitamin k, have they said you've definatly got it? The bile acids take 3/4 days to get back here which is what they go on usually as to when to induce, they still usually like to wait til 38wks but if you are contracting anyway who knows what they will suggest, high bp isn't a sign of it though we all have very low, the itching is usually hands and feet and more at night, mine were driving me crazy last night do will have to be tested again tomoz but its quite common to go into labour spontaneously and early anyway ( oh and usual quick!)

This website says the risks of not inducing aren't well documented. You could challenge their instance on induction... Unless you want to get on & meet your baby!

Fennel tea is yummy! I'd never tried herbal teas before this pregnancy but now I'm really enjoying the odd cup of nettle tea & v occasionally a chamomile & honey. I shall be adding fennel tea to my list. I might even go so far as to alternate it with nettle tea as my evening hot drink! This is a big deal for me. I like my routine!

Hello. Sorry I was suffering from dead battery. In maternity, (got to go home and arrange child are etc) induction apparantly is booked for tomorrow morning, but at least I will get a semi decent nights sleep tonight not woken up by dd anyway

Yup blood results definitely show it. Over the 0-10 markers. Our hospital has a bloods lab (But not genetics).

I'm happy enough with induction. At least the end is in sight. Plan of action seems to be in order: get checked out, see if waters can be broken, suppository thingy, drip. But hopefully things will start moving with the earlier options.

Strangely the bp was fine when I was being monitored. And they're not worried about it anymore.

bring it's odd, I'm happy enough that the end is nigh, but it's weird to think that it's sooner than I expected. And quite relieved that they did my bloods today.

Well, I'm totally a believer that everything happens for a reason, so glad the midwife caught your high BP reading and it just sparked things into action. I'm just glad they caught it before it's become something much more serious.

Lovely! It's a nice-sized bus, with expandable sides so those carseats bottles of wine all fit in with plenty of room to spare for us.

Midwives and doula were around tonight. It was pretty cool having them all here at once! My boys went crazy and were running circles around the living room. I swear they haven't had any sugar tonight and it was just pure excitement that 3 ladies were at our house. We gave the tour of the house and checked out baby. Measuring right at 36 cm, she's in a ROT position today and she had the hiccups the whole time they were trying to listen. They eventually just gave up and said, "clearly she's doing great and moving plenty, we can just count the heart rate next week". All I could think was "b'jesus, I could be having a baby next week" So so crazy how quickly it's just zooming by now.

Oh all the excitement !! Hope things are kicking off for you frus and its not a long induction!
It's so funny to think you went in with high bp and they discovered something else, can't believe you've never mentioned the itching or I would have mentioned it too you. Still your in great hands and getting your wish for an early arrival

Little monster has decided to move out of my pelvis overnight. And gone diagonal. So they're going to try and shift him back and break my waters to hold him there.

And I'm now nil by mouth, so screwed on the coffee front.
and if anyone else shoves their hand up my fanjo I'm going to swear very loudly at them. I need caffeine.

Oh dear I can't believe he's shifted himself transverse what a monkey after being head down, fingers crossed he moves, are you dialated at all?
I know I shouldn't but lol at the if another person sticks their hand up your fanjo comment it must feel slow if you can't eat or drink anything, my dsis didn't get anywhere with induction 1cm until they broke her waters then it was all very quick, bet you didn't get any sleep last night did you x

I had about 3 hours sleep. which would be manageable if I had caffeine! and I have a caffeine withdrawal headache.

Not dilated, which probably hasn't been helped by monster being completely out of my pelvis.

Hoping it'll be quick and straight forward.

When are they going to try & start things off? It's so mean that they're not letting you eat/drink! Is that something to do with the OC or incase you need a C-section? They could at least let you have a coffee & put off all their interventions for an hour or 2...!

Think they are likely to wheel me off the threatre to play prod the baby and poke the fanjo sorry, meant to say massage the baby back into position and break my waters as soon as DH gets here.

The no eating or coffee is in case of a c-sec jojo. If he doesn't move, or goes into distress it'll be c-sec time.
But dr I saw earlier, thinks the chances of him moving are high, as he popped himself out and back in before, and higher chance of turning than if he'd been breach. and having dc before stands in my favour too.

I thought they didn't ban food/drink for c-sections anymore. They must be quite used to doing EMCSs on women who have been eating! If he shifts back into a good position will they let you have a coffee then? Have they given you a birth ball that you could bounce on to try & wiggle his head down? I'm sure bring will be along with some wonderful spinning babies handstand trick soon...!

In other news... My hip has hiccups & it's driving me mad! I'm shattered after waking up every 2 hours or so throughout the night. I haven't even got DS up yet but he's happily singing in his cot so I'll get his breakfast ready just as soon as I've finished my caffeinated cup of tea! I'm suddenly v grateful to not have anyone here banning me from caffeine. They'd probably get a black eye if anyone tried that today!

Is your DH on his way in now Frus or is he sorting out the girls first?
