Meant to also say that I agree about feeling teary and a bit pathetic at the moment. DH went out last night so I deliberately watched a One Born and the last Child of Our Time that I had recorded and had a good blub in front of the TV whilst shovelling ice cream and feel a bit better this morning! Grin

Am also ridiculously clumsy and forgetful at the moment - the stupidest most simple things just seem to be completely beyond me! Good job I work as a PA where I basically get paid to be super organised on behalf of someone else ConfusedHmm (so glad my boss has a sense of humour.....and twins!)

kimjayne · 08/05/2013 08:25

Cheers kitten. My DH was so angry at my boss last night that I had to stop him calling him. Quite nice to see his protective streak Smile

Derpess · 08/05/2013 08:47

Sorry to hear your boss is being a tool kimjayne, what goes around comes around though...

Good luck for your scan ready and anyone else today.

JammyTummy · 08/05/2013 09:28

Yes I woke up all emotional today. I also keep having really crap night sleep as am woken by excruciating back pain! I think it's from bump pulling down on back muscles. This happens in every position other than lying on my back, which in itself is not really very comfortable/ good for baby sleeping! Amazingly there is never a sign of the pain by morning time.

Has anyone else been given a GP apt on top of their MW apts? I'm just on my way to mine and its only just occurred to me that I haven't heard anyone else mention anything about this before!

CharlW1 · 08/05/2013 09:56

Just waiting in a Pret shop for a 'coffee morning' with my boss and a few others from my department - I'm first here and have just had scoffed a pain au raisin and debating that when everyone arrives if it would be rude to have another as no one would know I'd had the first Smile

frog is the St Ives holiday park a John Fowlers one? If it us I have been there and it's a great location.

astroming · 08/05/2013 10:24

Had scan this morning and everything was perfect! Also....am on team blue:-) Hope yours went well too Ready.

Readytosettle · 08/05/2013 10:39

I'm team blue too! So happy as DH was a first born & I have an older bro so it feels like the natural order of things :-) plus all our friends have had girls so it's nice to be different! Probably explains all the kicking, and the permanent hunger....

Feels a lot more real now, just went to Sainsburys and was checking out all the baby boys wondering what ours will be like...

Jammy in my area they do the 24wk apt with the gp instead of the midwife.

JammyTummy · 08/05/2013 11:15

Ah I see. Well the GP was fine, just routine check up. I did arrive without my notes or my pee sample though, having had a bit of a scatty morning! I then proceeded to drop the disposable cup she gave me to catch the pee into the loo, and ended up having to aim into one of those little narrow plastic pots instead. Och. One of those days. So happy to be home with my cup of tea!

Woohoo for more recruits to team blue!! Congrats girls! Charl I think at Ives is a John fowlers but some of the tripadvisor reviews are a bit worrying!! Any other recommendations appreciated!!

Derpess · 08/05/2013 13:55

Congrats astroming, ready and cream tea! Lovely news.

There seems to be lots more blue than pink around or am I not paying attention? Is anyone keeping tally?

Readytosettle · 08/05/2013 14:30

I think start of the month was more pink & us later ones have been more blue....am going to update the stats with mine! If others do the same we'll get a better idea..

Derpess · 08/05/2013 16:45

Good idea ready, I'll do the same...

Derpess · 08/05/2013 16:53

My phone is not playing- I'll update my stats when I get a chance to get on a PC...

Readytosettle · 08/05/2013 17:43

afrikat · 08/05/2013 18:20

Eek am I the only one not finding out what we are having?? My willpower is fading!

Fozziebearmum2b · 08/05/2013 18:22

Anyone else got a scan tomorrow? Wondering if I have a buddy? Smile

Kittenkatzen · 08/05/2013 18:24

afrikat I'm team yellow and staying that way, too much fun keeping everyone guessing! Grin Dont lose our resolve!!

kimjayne · 08/05/2013 18:27

Lovely scan news ladies! Definitely seems like the blues are in the majority recently. Wonder what the ratio split will be like. And whether all the sexing scans will be 100% correct? Eeek.

Apologies for being dumb. But can I check how we use the voucher codes that Cheesestring kindly posted? I'm gonna give it a go when I get home? Is it just part of the Sun website? Not used them before.

Also, does anyone have any idea the general rule with holidays at work whilst on mat leave? Am I right in thinking that any hold accrued after August when I go on mat leave will get carried into next year? I've been told one thing by HR and another by my manager. I would normally just trust HR but shockingly this is the first time our HR manager (or my boss) has had a pregnant member if staff (in the 10 years they have both worked at our company). So it's a bit like the blind leading the blind. Any general thoughts would be much appreciated.

JammyTummy · 08/05/2013 18:29

I think we are going to go for a 3D scan in a month or so, so I will definitely be confirming what is due to pop out! Otherwise if buba turns out to be a little boy he has an awful lot of girlie outfits to get through!

Readytosettle · 08/05/2013 18:31

It depends on company policy...some let you carry it over or be paid, some make you take it all before you go off. Just get it in writing if they're letting you carry it over!
