here we all are... hoping for nice clear 20w. scans, not too much inadvertent weeing and getting that 'glow'...

OP posts:
badguider · 16/04/2013 10:09

have posted a picture of my non-bump at 19+4. It's bigger in the evening when i'm bloated with indigestion and heart burn but as you can see I just look a bit 'apple shaped'.
my stomach used to be flat so it's quite different for me, but to strangers there's no way i look pregnant.

badguider · 16/04/2013 10:10

picture is on my profile which i think i've made public - can somebody confirm that it works? thanks.

Kittenkatzen · 16/04/2013 10:27

triple I've woken myself up snoring a couple of times BlushBlush

kimjayne · 16/04/2013 10:54

Hi Badguider, your photo has worked! Just had a nosy. I have uploaded one myself too.
My bump seems to have suddenly popped out these last few days. Yikes!

RunningBear78 · 16/04/2013 12:39

OOOhhh so jealous of your bumps, I've put on 10kg's in 18+2 weeks and have a non-bump like badguiders to show for it! I have grown quite large thighs, bum and boobs instead though Sad. Can't wait for this bump to arrive properly!

Overwhelmed by the amount of things to buy, and range, to the point of not looking any more as it is too confusing! thank you so much for sharing, I will have to revisit the thread again when I eventually start shopping.

For online yoga - try katy appleton on You Tube, she does 5 x 10 minute sessions which are quite good, but there are lots on there.

badguider suspect you've a non-bump from having good tummy muscles. Also, re running, have a go and see how you feel. If you are fit and used to running, despite a break, it should be fine. I've been trying for one run a week, and manage anything between 20-40 minutes depending on how I feel. Expect it to be reeeeaallly hard work though!

Spesh9 · 16/04/2013 13:33

Hello everyone

Not posted in a while but been keeping up with all your news, wonderful to hear about all your scans. Readytosettle I'm a late one like you, you actually beat me by a day as my scan isn't until the 9th. What's your due date?

Not bought anything yet - MIL has bought a cute little outfit but I'm still feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the choice to get any big items!

Spesh x

badguider · 16/04/2013 14:46

kimjayne - don't think your profile is public, I can't click on your name.

KamikazeeKid · 16/04/2013 14:46

Scan shows baby kamikazeekid is cooking nice..,,however my placenta is covering cervix. ...anyone else had this?

Got to another scan - yay!!

frogchops · 16/04/2013 15:03
  1. Yes I've been snoring Blush
  2. The non bumps are prob people will good stomach muscles. Mine are shockingly bad so that's why I'm a heffer!
  3. Lovely scan news, here I am again moaning that mines ages away! 3rd may.
  4. Nosey neighbour knocked my door at 8am to say she hopes she wasn't out of turn speaking about the pregnancy. She said she wouldn't have said anything had my DP not hinted anyway. He reckons he didnt hint, but then we know she's a nosey cow anyway. She said she works doing the growth charts after scans etc I didn't know she could even spell her name! so we might see her on our appointments. I can hardly wait still pissed me off but I reckon she was shitting herself about saying anything thinking I might complain . And so she should be!
fl0b0t · 16/04/2013 16:43

kimjayne your entire profile is private, if you want to let us see it go to
My mumsnet>My profile> and it will take you to "public profile editor". You can then choose who can see what information about you :-)

frog glad she's apologised, but clearly only because she doesn't want the repercussions, not because she's actually sorry :( Also- I had awesome stomach muscles pre-pregnancy, but my bump is taking over!

kamikazee- A friend had a low lying placenta that never moved away from the cervix, and it did cause a few scares (sorry to say), and a couple of bleeds. She ended up with a c-section and was unable to do any exercise other than gentle walking. Hope your placenta moves somewhere more helpful! Baby all fine and lovely though :-)

Scan in 2 weeks, looking forwards to it. And a bit of movement!

Fozziebearmum2b · 16/04/2013 18:20

Spesh, I'm a late one too-due 26th Sept- looks like we're scan buddies as mines on 9th too Smile

Can't wait to see little one again, very jealous of everyone posting about theirs Grin

kimjayne · 16/04/2013 18:30

So it seems we are expecting a little boy Smile all feels very real now. Eek

JammyTummy · 16/04/2013 18:38

Awwwwww kim congratulations! That is so exciting! I found that finding out the sex made it so much more real for me too- suddenly we were expecting a girl as opposed to the mythical baby!

My scan isn't till next week, even though I'll be 21 weeks by then. Cannot wait!

Kittenkatzen · 16/04/2013 18:41

Hurray for another blue bump kimjayne Smile

frog I hope you gave her your best disapproving down the nose look. Even if she has a legit reason for knowing, she should keep it to herself ffs.

Thanks for the yoga tip runningbear will look her up.

frogchops · 16/04/2013 19:11

Hi five for joining team blue kimjayne!

frogchops · 16/04/2013 19:14

Kitten I was sure to quiz her about exactly what job she did. I'm still not happy at her accessing my notes though, ESP as she said she wasn't working that afternoon that I was there....obv this means she had no reason to look at my notes! There are long term medical conditions on my notes that I don't wish my next door frickin neighbour to know about!!

Dorita75 · 16/04/2013 19:26

ah, lovely new kimjayne

Who was my scan twin for Friday? Anyone not finding out the colour?

Had headache for 2 days...anyone else getting them, I know a few did a month or so ago. I wonder if they're hormones as I'm drinking tons of water?

Manoodledo · 16/04/2013 19:33

Dorita I'll be your scan twin. Jealous of those finding out the sex. They won't tell you where we are and I'm too cheap to pay to find out. It doesn't seem fair that there should be different rules in different parts of the country.

jemimahpuddleduck · 16/04/2013 19:43

Dorita I'm your scan buddy for Friday think there is another aswel but can't remember who. We are not finding out the colour ourselves but it's so exciting reading what everyone else is having.

Going back to breast pumps I've decided to go for the manual to start off with.

frog I can completely understand you not wanting your neighbour to see your file I would feel the same.

jemimahpuddleduck · 16/04/2013 19:45

X post with manoodledo our other buddy Grin

badguider · 16/04/2013 19:52

Dorita - I got a lot of headaches around 15/16weeks. Found that the 4head stick works absolute WONDERS for them!

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 16/04/2013 19:56

kamikazeekid I had a low-lying placenta in my last pregnancy, think it's pretty common. It shifted as everything grew and caused no problems at all.

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 16/04/2013 19:58

I was suffering with headaches and turned out I was anaemic. It may be coincidence but they got better when I started on iron. Now I usually just get them after a crap night with interrupted sleep.

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 16/04/2013 19:59

frogchops my scan is the 3rd May too, doesn't feel so far away now,

frogchops · 16/04/2013 20:04

Yay I have a buddy!!didnt have a 12 week one, I was way down the list! I'll be exactly 20 weeks on the 3rd Wink
