Snowdrop so sorry to hear your sad news, take care of yourself

Cheese I'll be (virtually) holding your hand for tomorrow, hope all goes well x

Saundy · 15/03/2013 02:30

MTB GOTCT thank you.

Good luck to you too Poppy, I'm pretty sure it's all a cautionary thing too - though would be feeling better had I not been woken right on que tonight. I've been told to go with an empty bladder tmr which apparently means it'll be an internal one, hopefully it won't be too bad. I wonder if they do that with DP in the room.

I know what you mean about the symptoms though, pregnancy really doesn't seem to miss a trick!

stuffthenonsense · 15/03/2013 05:30

Snowdrop what terrible news, I'm so sorry. Please take good care of yourself.
Best of luck for those with scans today....cheese I was a little confused by your post, are they now expecting more than two or ectopic or a combination? And what treatment did they suggest? I too would be consulting dr google against my better judgement. Really hope all is well.

Well, I was tucked up in bed by 7.30 last night but my maximum stretch was 2 hrs before a baby a teen or a bladder woke me. I'm now sitting up with a cup of decaf tea wondering if I will drink it all without puking.

ncsmummy · 15/03/2013 05:35

Snowdrop I am so sorry to hear your sad news.

Cheese Poppy and saundy good luck with your scans.

Suffolk and whenshewasbad I am so pleased to hear all went well!!!

Why oh why am I so tired all day, falling asleep all the time and wanting to go to bed at about 8 pm and then waking up at 5am? lol

Dizzy81 · 15/03/2013 06:05

snowdop big hugs to you and please don't google. I know it's easier dais than done.

cheese and saundy good luck with your scans!

ncs I'm the same as you, fell asleepon the sofa at 8.30 in bed by 9.15 abs wide awake just after 5am.

I'm now half way through he first trimester. A nd my jellybean is a result of valentines say!!!

ncsmummy · 15/03/2013 06:08

Dizzy not just me then?? lol I am now 5 + 1 - think our little bean is a result of our belated valentines day!! lol

harverina · 15/03/2013 06:39

Oh I can't get out of my warm cosy bed! Why oh why can't I win the lotto and never work again?!!

Best wishes for those with scans today. Hope everything goes ok.

Misty it was mistymoo! I was on April 2010 and wondered of it was you.

Mumma hope you have some success with the book. They are gentle sleep solutions which I prefer. Controlled crying is not for me Grin let me know how it goes.

And welcome to the new people - congratulations! I'm not fully caught up with the thread...I go to work and before I know if there are another 50 messages to read!

Ok I'd better go and get ready. Don't even have clothes ironed for dd and I! Was so tired last night that i went up bed with dd Smile

harverina · 15/03/2013 06:40

How long us trimester 1 again? I am 6+6 today Grin

stuffthenonsense · 15/03/2013 06:56

Harverina its 14 weeks, I am now half way and baby is about 1cm. Only about 50 to go then.

Saundy · 15/03/2013 06:59

ncs dizzy another valentines one here! It's no wonder this thread is so large with V Day being right in the middle of our conception month.

harv you've tipped the half way point - woo, but only of tri 1 unfortunately. Am bang on it today at 6 weeks exactly.

I can't imagine there'll be much to see at a scan so early, am determined to keep my sensible head on and not freak out if they can't hear the heart etc as I know the chances are so low a 6 wks. Am just hoping for everything to be in the right place, which I am feeling quite positive about.

Has anyone had one of these internals? How big is it & how far does it go??!

Saundy · 15/03/2013 07:00

14!! I thought it was 12 dammit lol

PoppySeedBun · 15/03/2013 07:06

Yes, have had a bunch of internals to look at lining thickness and ovaries before. Seems to vary a bit in size - I've had very slimline ones (size of a 2p piece across, I would guess?) and, ahem, slightly larger ones. Haven't found either uncomfortable - you just have to get over the slightly awkward situation! BTW nothing like as uncomfortable as having a smear test (TMI?)

Cheers Poppy that does help, I actually have just posted a ton of Q's on the pregnancy side, don't want to bombard this thread but realised there's lots I'm wondering about, y'know if you fancy having a gander & answering any more Smile

Fairydogmother · 15/03/2013 07:23

Knacked this morning!

But I'm going to visit my friend and her baby at 2pm Grin

Good luck cheese and saundy

williaminajetfighter · 15/03/2013 07:36

Anyone else gained weight? Due to relentless eating over past 3 weeks I'm up 3 pounds. Hmm

honey86 · 15/03/2013 07:39

sickness has well n truly set in... too scared to even move in case it sets off a puking fit SadConfused

SterlingS · 15/03/2013 07:40

Eurgh rampant nausea this morning and a thumping headache too - after being awake for hours in the night - and I've got a day off today where I had planned to get lots done :(

Had booking appointment yesterday, midwife seems really nice - now need to await scan appointment letter, still doesn't feel real even though I'm 7+3 now and about to miss my second period next week

Saundy · 15/03/2013 08:06

WIAJF I haven't weighed myself in a year so no idea, clothes still fit but I hate knowing my weight because I obsess. I've got no appetite at the minute though.

Sterlings were you sent a pack out before your appt with all the paperwork & info? Just wondering if that's standard practice.

Theicingontop · 15/03/2013 08:09

So sorry Snowdrop, you must be devastated. Sad

Williamina, I've lost a few pounds from my complete aversion to anything worthy of calories. Can only eat boring things. Today I think I'll be a bit naughty and have a jacket potato kill me now.

Sorry to hear that Honey. Just make sure you're hydrated. Ginger beer was a constant companion during my first trimester with DS it really helped x

SterlingS · 15/03/2013 08:12

Saundy no - wasn't sent anything, this was my first appointment too. Got my Bounty Pack and notes etc to take home with me. It was just lots of questions and form filling, bit of an anticlimax tbh. Dating scan should be w/c 22nd April. Had to book a flu jab and took two wee bottles home with me.

To add to the fun - I have a job interview on Weds for a job I really really want (applied for it just before I got my BFP, blissfully unaware that I was 4 weeks gone at the time), however if I get it I won't qualify for SMP anymore. Not telling them anything in the interview but have a plan for if I get offered it - it's a risk but seeing as its for a place I used to work at with lots of people I know socially it is a bit of a 'mare. I really want to job but MA is not much at all...

harverina · 15/03/2013 08:13

Williamina I must have gained weight. Was doing weight watchers before I found out I was pregnant and now i am eating for Scotland! Not always large quantities but all the wrong stuff...for example as I type I am eating chicken crisps.

I love vegetables but really struggling to stomach them at the moment. I would usually eat 6-7 portions of fruit/veg every day but the thought of it makes me boak. Loving salad and avocados though so maybe need to have more of them!

harverina · 15/03/2013 08:14

Is boak a totally Scottish word??

Theicingontop · 15/03/2013 08:17

I thought it was a mumsnet creation.

vix206 · 15/03/2013 08:17

For those of you suffering with sickness and nausea - you may know this but just in case... If you're taking pregnancy vitamins in the morning try taking them with your main evening meal instead. It made such a difference to me last time.

Also seabands. They work by applying pressure to your wrists. It sounds like rubbish but, again, made a huge difference to me last time. I wore them 24/7 for first 12 weeks. They were washed with me in the shower every day!!

Should say though that I never had severe sickness, just nausea. Hoping for the same this time. Look after yourselves today everyone.
