Can I join please! Only found out today that I am pregnant with baby number 2.

According to various internet sites I am due 2 November. Not planning on telling anyone in rl yet so good to chat here.

Can't do the list as on my phone and don't know how to!

DittyRatt · 26/02/2013 23:43

Hello all

I am predicting an early baby here too... dd was 4days early, but ds was 4 days late.

I have a small age gap between ds and dd (15months)... it is, I think, rather lovely to have them close together in age.

I have my GP appointment at 9am in the morning, so will let you all know how it goes?x

williaminajetfighter · 27/02/2013 01:03

Hi can I join? Due 7 nov. just got bfp yesterday after 3 mcs and being, ahem, 'of advanced maternal age'. (43).

Very exciting. Doesn't seem real. Spent a fortune on tests today and have gone through them like candy!!

CurlyKiwiControl · 27/02/2013 06:41

Morning everyone and welcome to newbies :) we are filling up fast. Brill! will that's fab news, very happy for you Grin nowt beats that feeling of peeing on a stick and seeing that line appear does it? Amazing and some what addictive honey Wink i haven't been doing the same oh no

This one will be born with around a 22 month gap which seems tiny to me, as between DD and DS is 4 years!

Good to hear the positive stories about smaller gaps and see there are some more of you with babies already still.

I couldn't make doc appointment until today as I need a Monday one and they don't give out Monday appointments until midweek Confused

Can't wait, it will seem more real then

stuffthenonsense · 27/02/2013 07:08

Wow, there are so many of us! And the valentine conception won't be poas until the weekend ;-) I'm seeing my midwife this morning. Exciting! Hope she can reassure me I am also paranoid.

Congratulations to the new ladies, lovely that there are a few of us now.
Was completely ravenous too yesterday. Loads of pulling and cramping which I'm taking as a good sign - terrible gas too which isn't so good lol!

harverina · 27/02/2013 08:08

Great news Will!

I am going to phone my gp this morning, though I think I will just get a midwife appointment. Seeing the gp was so underwhelming last time....like the others have said, I expected a bit more excitement and to be tested but it was all very mundane and just general advice about what to do/not to do.

I'm starting to feel excited, although can't quite believe it yet. I keep expecting my period to come!

haven't had a chance to read all the thread yet, but just wondering if anyone has headaches? I have a dull headache and have had it since last week. It is the type of headache I get with pmt.

Fairydogmother · 27/02/2013 08:17

i'm plagued by headaches and i never normally get them!

i'm another nervous one who keeps thinking i'm imagining this!

RubyWindsor · 27/02/2013 08:18

Headaches over here Hmm I'm prone to migraines so I'm getting them quite bad, gp said not to take migraine meds just paracetamol but I am trying my best to avoid

harverina · 27/02/2013 08:23

Ah ok, do I'm not alone!

Fairy, the early days are very surreal aren't they? Once we start seeing midwife it'll feel more real I think.

honey86 · 27/02/2013 08:31

william n curly woohoo im not mad im not the only one lol it is addictive. i think its mostly cos this will prob be my last, so im enjoying the moment way too much

harverina thats what im doing, im kindof enjoying have this little big secret between me and dp. feels like a special little thing to us Smile

Theicingontop · 27/02/2013 08:46

Woke up with horrible cramps (not as bad as AF cramps) this morning which are panicking me a bit - normal right? Never cramped with DS Confused

HPTs are still as faint as monday, do they take a while to get darker? I want to see that dark pink line!!

getoffthecoffeetable · 27/02/2013 09:03

icing I've been having cramps for a of weeks. I think it's normal.

ceramicunicorn · 27/02/2013 09:07

Can I join too please? Got a bfp yesterday and still in shock! My ds is only just 6mo and I'll be popular when I go back to work in July after mat leave already 5 months pregnant again!

heartonsleeve · 27/02/2013 09:12

Hello all! I would like to join too - though the very fact I'm sitting here writing this makes me very 'aarrgghh - what am I doing'!!

I think I'm due 1st November... my calculations make me 4+5. It's our first, and I'm more in shock than anything. I didn't expect it to happen quite so quickly. I am getting used to the idea, and beginning to feel excited, though I don't deal well with 'unknowns' and am prone to anxiety.

I've had cramping on and off since last week, and this week have been feeling ravenous and also quite nauseous. Joy.

I have a GP appointment on Friday morning. I guess that's when it will hit home it's for real.

Hope you're all getting along okay, and look forward to sharing the journey with you! Smile

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 27/02/2013 09:35

Hi to all the new guys. So exciting

theicing I had bad af like cramps from week 4 to week 10 when I had my dd. I think it is just the uterus stretching out.

Fairydogmother · 27/02/2013 10:07

i've already got 3 gp appts for bloods etc over the next week - not sure how to explain this to work?!

Hi all and welcome to the newbies Smile

I had my GP appointment this morning and my EDD is the 5th of November, this is the exact same due date my mum had when she was pregnant with me Shock oooo exciting
My GP didn't ask me to confirm that I was pregnant by poas either she just took my word, she did however do some bloods as I suffer from anaemia and she wanted to check my iron levels now that I am preg. Then she asked about my symptoms (heartburn and fatigue). After that she filled out a midwife referral form and told me that I will see the midwife at 10weeks to be booked in. So I am now waiting for the midwife to ring me and tell me what date my appointment is on.
I also have another appointment with my GP next week to discuss the results of my blood test...x

MTB82 · 27/02/2013 16:06

Wow filling up - welcome to all the newbies. Smile

MTB82 · 27/02/2013 16:16

Oh meant to ask is there anything I should be thinking about if I'm traveling soon - heading to oz for a friend's wedding in 3 weeks and didn't even think to mention it to GP. Assume it's all fine at this early stage? (except for missing out on all the champagne that weddings normally have on offer - boo!!! Sad

Fairydogmother · 27/02/2013 17:59

I'm not sure about travelling so maybe check with your Gp just in case. I think it's fine before a certain date but I did read that they recommend you wear flight socks as the risks from dvt are higher.

Got a sore back Sad

busyprocrastinating · 27/02/2013 18:00

Hello can I join in too please?
I got bfp last night and then spent the rest of it in floods of tears. We have
Been trying for over a year so I don't know why I feel so miserable Confused
This will be number 2 already have dd 2.4 years.

busyprocrastinating · 27/02/2013 18:01

Oh meant to add from my calculations I think EDD is 1st Nov
