WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 25/02/2013 09:58

Hi honey I don't really know what the procedure is re seeing a GP either. It always seemed a bit of a waste of time to book a GP appointment.

getoffthecoffeetable · 25/02/2013 10:03

Have booked my GP appointment for next Friday. I expect will need a medication review anyway so will start monitoring my BP again, so many things I'd forgotten about pregnancy!
Diege hope the meds make you feel better.
honey I didn't tell receptionist why I wanted the appointment, just that I wanted one. It's always a fight getting to see one isn't it? (Unless it's for DS in which case, the surgery always squeeze him in and are fabulous).
Bless him, DH is insisting on coming to the appointment with me.

honey86 · 25/02/2013 10:05

it does seems ive turned rusty on the baby thing Blush x

honey86 · 25/02/2013 10:29

aww bless him, dp isnt even awake yet, he was at work til midnight. Hmm ahh i shudve done that instead Confused damn my honesty lol my surgery are normally good and i normally didnt have to wait long for an appt, just wasnt aware things had changed much since i had dd lol

having the odd tingle at back of my throat which suggest ill start feeling sick soon... x

Theicingontop · 25/02/2013 11:51

I'm so happy I could cry! In fact I have already this morning Blush I had the faintest bfp in the whole world and was unsure, but this morning it was darker. Going by my ovulation date I'm 4th November!!!

First month trying. OH reckons his sperm has supernatural qualities.

DS is 2.5, this will be #2. Congratulations everyone!!!

getoffthecoffeetable · 25/02/2013 12:13

Aw, what a lovely post icing congratulations!
honey have you tried eating? It's the last thing I feel like doing atm but it seems to stave off the sicky feeling at least for a bit.

honey86 · 25/02/2013 13:43

ive had mainly cheese sandwiches, decaf coffee and vitamins today... tho ill have a proper meal after i pick the kids up from school.
congratulations icing Smile welcome to the club x x

Ok icing it's official you're on the list.

I'm shattered and hungry. I normally go for sweet thinks but I just want to eat meat at the moment. The saltier the better. Feeling a bit lightheaded which I am guessing is my blood pressure dropping a bit.

I agree with gefoff re eating. Feeling hungry definitely makes the nausea worse.

crazyhead · 25/02/2013 14:26

Hello - just got BFP. If pg works out this will be baby number 2, based on one slightly accidental shag (though we were about to start trying) and still breastfeeding 15month old DS. I have also got the most horrendous cold at the moment, which is obscuring all other symptoms

DittyRatt · 25/02/2013 15:23

Hello all, and congratulations to icing and crazy

Well I told dh this morning and needless to say he is over the moon Grin he actually didn't believe me at first he thought I was joking Hmm why I would joke about it I will never know... but after I showed him my preg test to prove it he shouted booyakasha (not sure where that word is from Confused ) at the top of his voice and picked me up and swung me around. Grin Grin

I don't feel sick at all atm but then again nausea doesn't normally kick in for me till around 6weeks then I get the sickness at about 8weeks... but unlike most the sickness lasts almost the whole way through subsiding roughly around 37weeks.

I rang up and booked my doctors appointment this morning and my appointment is on Wednesday...x

getoffthecoffeetable · 25/02/2013 16:22

Congratulations Ditty and crazy, your husband's reaction sounds lovely ditty.
Am starting to feel a bit sicky, hoping it'll pass and I won't have to feel like I'm going to throw up the whole train journey home...

honey86 · 25/02/2013 17:23

the boyakasha kinda made me cringe but otherwise awwwww lolol Grin

my nausea is very on-off and mild atm but i normally get it once i hit 6/7 weeks.. dreading that part Confused x

CurlyKiwiControl · 25/02/2013 17:56

I haven't told yet, waiting to see midwife to get a note and see if I can get a space in the work car park, I currently have to park else where and face a clamber up a muddy hill to get in on time! Not good, im afraid of slipping.

Sorry to not name check everyone, on phone at the min and who was it saying pregnancy makes them forgetful?

Anyway .... Erm, can't remember what I was going to say Wink will check back later on

Fairydogmother · 25/02/2013 18:36

Hi can I join?! First baby for my DP and myself so a bit nervous!

Est date is 8 November and I tested positive yesterday. I literally couldn't wait until Friday to test so I did it early lol. Ended up doing 2 as I was sure the first one was wrong! We only started trying last month so really happy things have happened. Fingers xd everything goes ok!

Currently dying of a cold and a chest infection so not in great form!

getoffthecoffeetable · 25/02/2013 19:40

Hi fairy congratulations to you! Lovely to have you on board

stuffthenonsense · 25/02/2013 19:47

Oh stop me! I have allowed myself to get the tests out again! Really not good. Make me put them away ladies please. Welcome to all the new mummies! I have no appetite. I have been using myfitnesspal since my baby was born (11 months) and have lost 6 stone, I'm planning on keeping a check so as not to gain stupid amounts this time but it seems at the minute I need to go the other way as I am under eating. I need to eat another 300 calories tonight to hit minimum. Just trying a mug of hot chocolate.

Fairydogmother · 25/02/2013 19:59

I used the myfitnesspal and lost 3 stone. I'm also under eating a bit so it's hard to adjust your thinking! Maybe let yourself have a more calorific yoghurt or eat 2 bits of fruit instead of one? I have switched from weight watchers soups to normal ones as well ( they taste so much better!). I am worried about gaining weight as I've just managed to get my bikini body and now I'm going to lose it!

getoffthecoffeetable · 25/02/2013 20:00

Wow, stuff six stone, that's amazing, well done you! Here I was being proud of my 6lbs loss (from having flu).
If it inspires you, am about to have mash potato and cauliflower cheese, yum, stodgy!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 25/02/2013 20:35

Bloody hell stuff 6 stone. What's your secret? I have a feeling I am going to need a decent diet in 2014. Pregnancy makes me hungry hungry hungry. I can't judge you re the sticks. I keep peeing on my old opks, I just love seeing that line.

Hi crazy and fairy

fairy I tested early too, got a strong line at 9dpo, I did get a tiny bit if spotting on the day af was due but not enough to panic me.

Think I will concentrate on eating a balanced diet and not going under 1400 cals. Happy to be corrected but don't think my body needs the extra cals for a baby for quite some time yet!

I run and ride my horse still so will keep exercising too but be a bit more laid back about it. Weight gain is def an anxiety for me tho

Theicingontop · 25/02/2013 20:59

Ooh glad it's not just me who could do with losing weight, rather than gaining it during pregnancy.

What's myfitnesspal?

Fairydogmother · 25/02/2013 21:01

It's a free app for your phone. Brilliant easy tracker! Would def recommend it
