Ah honey I'm like that. And yes the hormones make it so much worse. It's that protective mother instinct wanting perfection for baby.

I'm in bed by 8.30 every night! DS wakes any time after 5.30am so I need early nights. I'm really tired but I know worse is to come, if its like last time Smile

getoffthecoffeetable · 08/03/2013 21:36

And on that note ladies, am hitting the sack. So so tired!
Have any of you got your scan dates yet? (Besides those of you who have theirs next week - good luck)

Dreamstoreality · 08/03/2013 21:43

Hi ladies can I join you?

Dreamstoreality Edd 7th Nov. Baby no1

Had my first appointment today with a maternity support worker and got my notes. Was asked where I would be delivering??? I'm only four weeks and hadn't done my research.. So just said my nearest hospital.. Was so surprised to be asked this early.. Especially as no one had talked through the options.

room for yet another one? I got my BFP yesterday, two days before AF is due. Very cautiously excited...

PurpleKiwi · 09/03/2013 00:36

Room for another? Had my BFP on Thursday and flucuating between anxious/terrified and pleased/relieved that I've fallen pregnant again.

We've been ttc for about 1.5 months following the stillbirth of our first baby at 35+6 in early December 2012. Only just had PM results from consultant last week so not sure how I should be feeling really. EDD is 14th November but likely that they will induce 2-3 weeks earlier due to my history.

May need some hand holding x

getoffthecoffeetable · 09/03/2013 06:22

Congratulations to you new ladies, you're very welcome.
dream, you might want want to have another chat with the midwife just to explore your options. If you have a midwife run maternity ward you might want to try that as they're usually nicer than hospital although if you're high risk you won't get that option.
kiwi we'll provide plenty of handholding, so sorry to hear of your loss.
Sounds like the week if 20th April is going to be an exciting one! Can't wait to get my scan date!
Anyone know if it's ok for toddler to sit on my tummy? Seems to be his most favourite place at the moment!
honey sending you virtual hugs, you sound really down x

Dizzy81 · 09/03/2013 06:54

Morning all

Am slightly worried as my symptoms have disappeared and feel all achy. Please tell me this is normal.

Xxx

getoffthecoffeetable · 09/03/2013 07:00

I think one day is different to the next, take advantage of it if you're not feeling rubbish x

Dizzy81 · 09/03/2013 07:03

I willgetoff but I'm soo worried/paranoid/nervous/excited. I'm turning into a neurotic first time mum.

Theicingontop · 09/03/2013 07:11

Welcome new bfps Smile

Dizzy my symptoms keep coming and going, only vomited once but feel nauseous nearly all the time, and then poof! I'll have a day where I feel completely normal and not even a bit tired. I'm savouring those days. Today isn't one of them...

OH cooked tacos when I went to bed last night and the smell coming from the kitchen still is absolutely revolting and making me heave. OH is adamant there's no lingering smell. There bloody is Envy

MTB82 · 09/03/2013 07:27

Morning all and welcome to the newbies.

Having to work today and just really want to curl up in bed. DH has gone off for a week skiing with friends this morning and I'm just feeling really sorry for myself. Feel all lonely and needy and he's only just gone - hormone overdrive!!! Probably not helped by the fact I'm raging a course I've never taught before today so feeling completely out of my comfort zone. With everything else whizzing through my head and all the hormones, I think there is only so much you can take before it gets on top of you a bit. Right positive thinking the day will be over before i know it.

Dizzy81 · 09/03/2013 07:28

Thank you bold:icing. You're all putting my mind at rest, the days will drag until I get my scan. The wheels will be sent in motion on Wednesday.

Oh no you poor thing. Stay in bed and get your dh to bring you a cup of tea in bed!

Dizzy81 · 09/03/2013 07:30

Not sure if I should be doing this early on, but named the growing embryo/fetus jellybean.

CurlyKiwiControl · 09/03/2013 07:42

Morning ladies.

icing too right there is can smell it from here Wink

Sorry I dropped off thread I have been so nauseated and exhausted its all I could do to drag my carcass out of bed for the school run, and then lie on the floor while ds destroys the house until dp comes home.

Bloody awful. Crap crap crap. Really hoping it eases soon.

No notes scan date or booking appointment yet.

big hello and huge congrats to all those joining :)

And especially to a fellow kiwi Wink

MotherOfCleo · 09/03/2013 07:52

Fairydogmother · 09/03/2013 07:52

Hi to everyone new!

Dizzy81 · 09/03/2013 08:09

fairy hmm, good point.

motherofcleo phew and dh laughed when I told him.

curlykiwi hope you feel better soon.

May have to snooze on the sofa in abut.

CheeseandGherkins · 09/03/2013 08:13

Morning all. Need tea and food before taking ds1 off to football.

I'm also exhausted in the evenings and take dd3 to bed with me early. I'm still
breast feeding her so this should all be interesting!

Bit of info for me, this will be my 5th live baby, I have a 13 month old daughter
but my daughter before her was stillborn at 37 weeks in Dec 2010. I had gestational diabetes with her that wasn't detected :(. Changed hospitals last time and t went so so much better, on insulin at 13 weeks and ended up being induced at 33 weeks. She arrived at 34 weeks and spent a couple of weeks in nicu.

I've also had 6 early miscarriages so I'm taking things a day at a time.

Kiwi so sorry to hear of your loss, I know how hard it is. I won't go over 37 weeks due to my previous loss either.

I'm constantly hungry, no sickness yet but I've never had any with any of my pregnancies so far. Headaches a lot and exhausted!

blueseashore · 09/03/2013 08:16

Thanks for the welcome! I am only 4 weeks but this morning literally can't get out of bed... what is with this first trimester tiredness?! I have kicked my DH out of bed to look after our DD (almost two) which he's not too pleased about given he was out very late last night Grin

Purple kiwi, just so sorry to hear of your loss. Congrats on your BFP, lots of handholding here if you need it.

harverina · 09/03/2013 08:28

Hi everyone, sorry haven't been around for a few days. Work has been its usual - crazy busy, lots of running around so I've been really tired at night.

Welcome to the new guys and congratulations! It's such early days so its great to be able to come on here and share symptoms and our feelings.

Kiwi so sorry for your loss. Hope your feeling ok.

Dream, you can change your mind bout where to give birth. I am in Scotland and we only have hospitals so it is really a case of choosing between a couple that are close enough. My local hospitals have midwife led units within them which are lovely. I have to be consultant led this time which I'm disappointed about. I had an emergency section last time but would have loved a water birth this time. However, I'm not going to push it - I had oc last time and my c section wound was open for over 7 months Hmm

I still have diarrhoea a lot. It's awful it comes on so suddenly and I literally have to run to the nearest toilet... Not very convenient on work!!! And you should hear my tummy rumbling its soooo loud...again very awkward in work haha!!! Have been feeling really sick for a while then it passes. I can't believe how different my symptoms are this time!

I have been secretly thinking about names too! And when I'm at the shops I have been looking at new born clothes Smile I'm not sure how long I'll be able to wait until I have to buy one blue and one pink outfit!!!! Is have to hider
