Foof thanks Smile I'm sure all is ok, it's just disconcerting esp as I'm out in India til Mar 10th...

Abilee90 · 28/02/2013 17:39

I love Skyrim. Have had pretty much no time for gaming in the past couple of years though. After my OU course Is finished in June I'll hopefully have some time to at least play the Wii. Before baby arrives!

duende · 28/02/2013 20:29

Hi everyone.
I had a midwife app today and she said the uterus is growing nicely and she listened to the heart beat which was fine. I definitely have a bump, more thank a cake bloat ;)

Has anyone been told they will need a glucose tolerance test?

GaryBuseysTeeth · 28/02/2013 20:52

Jolly, Skyrim came out a month before my DS arrived, played it loads for that month & then sold my copy!
Only bought a new copy when we found out I was expecting this one!

Hurray for growing nicely duende, not been told about the glucose test but I think I remember some of the ladies (women? people!) on here mentioning it before.

Remembering, I've had one or two movements in the last week, I think the positioning varies loads this early.

Abilee, sorry you've had a rubbish day, hope they're less irritating tomorrow x

Just watched last nights OBEM, sobfest over here!

FoofFighter · 28/02/2013 21:18

Christelle2207 · 28/02/2013 22:58

waves pleased you are home and getting organised for Xdp's departure. This can only be a good thing. Fx the vomiting eases off x

Chuckaluck · 01/03/2013 05:51

Ahhhh, can't sleep! Head is spinning! Not sure why but been wide awake since 3.30!

Stupid question but roughly where would baby be positioned right now? Is it still below belly button or will uterus and baby have moved up yet? Am having sone strange sensations but quite high up now so not as I had been and I thought it might be a bit longer till it all moved up!

Am off to a hen weekend today - looking forward to seeing friends bit not the hen bit as such! Doesn't help that I can't sleep and have to drive for 3.5 hours - oh well, I shouldn't complain, at least I am not at work!!!!

Chuckaluck · 01/03/2013 05:52

Should have said 18+5 - wow time is ticking!!

RememberingMyPFEs · 01/03/2013 06:06

chuck I think it'll still be below your belly button. I'm 18+3 and when I do feel mine it's always on the right and halfway (ish) between belly button and pubic bone. The expanding uterus will be pushing other organs up tho, esp if you're a short-arse like me Grin
Good luck with the hen-do x

Chuckaluck · 01/03/2013 06:31

The flutters are around my belly button So maybe it's top of uterus or placenta. I have heard people say that you can feel flutters from placenta - anyone else? Bump is definately still from belly button downwards and when I say bump, I mean fat bit that has gone hard!!!! Grin

RememberingMyPFEs · 01/03/2013 07:02

fat bit that's gone hard
Not just me that thinks on it that way then Wink

JollyYellowGiant · 01/03/2013 07:24

Does anyone else have a sore back / hips already? I'm struggling with it. Particularly on days I've been doing any exercise. I'm planning to mention it to the midwife on Monday and see if she has any suggestions. I fear I just didn't heal properly after having DS and pregnancy is making it worse.

JollyYellowGiant · 01/03/2013 07:25

I'm only 14+1!

RememberingMyPFEs · 01/03/2013 07:35

Jolly I did/have on and off bit finding pregnancy yoga is helping. Still got the crunchiest neck ever tho Hmm

blondecat · 01/03/2013 07:53

Good morning everyone

Just marking the spot. 17 weeks today and still here, just lurking

3 weeks and 1 day without bleeding now

Grin

Congratulations on all the scans.
Waves, hang in there. Maybe one day it will just get better. brew
I gained 2kg so far so need to slow it down a bit.

Can't believe we are getting close to 20 weeks. I am trying not to count days but every week milestone I can't resist thinking how many more till its safe-ish if the baby arrives.

I finally dared buy some new maternity clothes. The choice here is Confused so I blew what feels like GDP of Greece at the blossom sale online . Luckily they didn't have the dress I wanted in my size or it'd be more.

And gap wont ship here. Unless I use the us site and pay 44 usd for shipping a pj and a pair of tights. Confused

End of rant

Chuckaluck · 01/03/2013 08:23

PFEs when you have some fat to go hard, is there any other way to think about it?!! Wink

MrsWajs · 01/03/2013 09:07

My back is killing me too jolly but think it's a lot more to do with work than baby (I'm a nurse) I was the same with DD and it passed eventually so I'm hoping the same happens this time. The consultant of my ward has asked me if I'd like a secondment to the clinic rather than the ward so it's a bit easier going for me, I'm not sure what to do, easier sounds better but I'd miss all my work mates!

chuckaluck I'm working on the assumption that all my fat will go hard?? Maybe not.... I did a hen do whilst in labour last time - that was interesting!!

blondecat I'd be pretty happy if I'd only gained 2kgs but so far I've piled on a stone!!! Eeek. I only put on 1stone and 10lbs with DD so get the impression I'm going to be masive this time around! In saying that I was smaller to begin with this time so as long as I don't go over the 12 stone mark I'll be happy!

GaryBuseysTeeth I've now missed 2 episodes of OBEM due to work - not a happy bunny. Will need to watch them on 4OD when I get a chance.

RugBugs · 01/03/2013 09:18

Chuck I remember reading that fundal height as a measurement is not accurate before 24 so presumably the uterus can shift around before this. I definitely have leg movement high on one side (right now actually!) when in theory uterus should only be 3cm above pubic bone.

Blonde 3 wks+ bleed free must be a relief!

Am having serious brain fog this morning, how am I meant to clear it sans decent coffee??

Abilee90 · 01/03/2013 09:26

Still no weight gain, still havent got a bump and my uterus is above my belly button. If its bot your first baby your uterus will be rise/stretch quicker. I felt the little man on my hand last night :) was a really happy moment. Dont feel pregnant or even look pregnant. Its really different from dd pregnancy.

Xx

RememberingMyPFEs · 01/03/2013 10:08

blondecat ASOS ship everywhere and have a good maternity range...

chuck good point, well made!

I've gained about 4-5kg since BFP but I was running c. 20 miles a week before, now I'm just walking the dog/swimming and a bit of yoga so I'm reckoning I'd have gained that anyway tbh Confused I miss running but went too long in first trimester without a run so not risking it now...

beckie90 · 01/03/2013 10:11

Mine is above my bellybutton too, but I feel him kick just below that I think its also dependant on the womans torso as some have shorter torsos and some have longer so obviously that will alter the position of the uterus on each persons tummy. Stupidly at 15wk my doctor measured my uterus Hmm

abi ditto I felt little man on my hand this morning too, i didn't intend to I had my hand across tummy and he started kicking. Defo got a big smile on my face today.

I also have sore back and hips, got spd last pregnancy so sure its that starting up again as everytime I walk my hips crunch. Grr.

I think I'm just starting to show but havnt gained any weight yet. I've carried all my 3 totally different, this time my hips feel wider, even though I've not gained Hmm

Xx

Christelle2207 · 01/03/2013 11:33

Just back from mw, lovely hb to hear which is reassuring as still not felt him properly. She doesn't want to see me until 25w now which is AGES away though i have scan on the 19th.
I am however definitely showing now (18w exactly) and got some compliments on my small bump yesterday. Went into mat clothes last week and not looked back. I am very aware of the bump and the fact that it's sticking out of me.
Also got some ugly stretch marks which my dh kindly pointed out. Ordered bio-oil, so does it work?
Still only gained about 1.5 kg, have been eating less which may explain.

FoofFighter · 01/03/2013 12:50

If you are pre-disposed to getting stretchmarks, there's nothing in the world that can stop them tbh. it's hereditary, ask your mum/gran if they had them
