Thankyou for all your congratulations and good words ladies. The now not so OH has gone, went out at 4.30 yest said he would be back by 6. 3.15 he rolled up. So I told him to go, today consists of packing his things up...the joys. Feeling fine though relieved if anything :) xx

stacey212528 · 24/02/2013 11:42

Beckie sorry to hear that, but glad to hear your coping well with it.

DaveMccave · 24/02/2013 13:54

I'm bleeding :( bright red blood. Midwife has just said to keep an eye on it and call if there is any pain and they'll arrange a scan but otherwise it's probably normal. This seems a bit relaxed to me. Has anyone else had this? I'm 15 weeks today.

FoofFighter · 24/02/2013 14:03

oh Dave, please try to not worry. is there pain?

OP posts:
GaryBuseysTeeth · 24/02/2013 14:39

Dave, if there's no pain or anything clotty I would assume they're thinking Placenta Previa, sending lots of positive vibes to you.
Hope you stop bleeding soon, are you one of 'us' with a doppler?

Foof, up for a fb group. Was going to suggest it once everyone got past 1st scans, but forgot!

beckie, glad you're feeling better about it all.

Welcome cake!

stacey212528 · 24/02/2013 15:32

Dave I had bright red bleeding at 9 weeks and again at 14 weeks. Both times went to hospital to get checked and was told the same. Had an extra scan but everything was ok. Sometimes they don't find the reason. I was told unless I started getting pains or passing clots I should just take it easy. Very scary though! Thoughts are with you. X

RememberingMyPFEs · 24/02/2013 15:37

dave sending un-mumsnetty hugs. Hope all is well ThanksThanks

Yvonney · 24/02/2013 17:21

Dave - hope everything is ok x

DaveMccave · 24/02/2013 19:33

Thanks everyone. It's stopped, no pain. Going to get the doppler out soon once DD is in bed. Will call midwife again tomorrow and ask about a scan.

Christelle2207 · 24/02/2013 19:42

Pleased it stopped. Sorry you're going through this. Do push for a scan but in the meantime hope the Doppler reassures you x

Abilee90 · 24/02/2013 19:46

Hey everyone thanks for all the congratulations. Still hasnt sunk in lol. Shattered at the min was yesterday also. I just need a chill out and hot bath.

Dave glad it has stopped but defo push for scan hun, never know might find out sex early if u get one ;)

Xxx

Stopsittingonyoursister · 24/02/2013 22:41

beckie and abi two boys, how lovely! Congratulations!

Sorry to hear the news about your not-so-DP, though, beckie. I hope you get everything sorted out with minimum stress to you.

Dave glad to hear that the bleeding has stopped. Could it be something like cervical erosion? Someone at my NCT group had that, and had bleeding on and off, but had a healthy (big!) baby. Hope the midwife can reassure you tomorrow.

foof a facebook group sounds like an excellent idea. I think you need to create the group and then tell us what it's called, and we just search for it?? Not really sure tbh, but we did it with the May 2010 group so it much be possible!!

waves sorry to hear you are still so unwell, and your DH and his DC are not helping at all. Your DC sound lovely, you must be very proud of them.

ruck very envious of you on the beach. Has anyone told you it was below zero here this morning?!

cakebaby welcome to the thread.

Have just come back from a weekend away at the MILs. Had a lovely day trip out to Hawkshead, which was beautiful - very very cold but bright and sunny so managed a bit of a walk with the kids. Unfortunately had to stay at MILs, which is a germ pit - they have two cats who are allowed on all the surfaces in the kitchen, and two shetland ponies, and they never wash their hands nor do they believe in anti-bacterial sprays etc. At the risk of sounding like a neat freak, I cannot stand it - I have now resorted to taking my own anti-bac wipes and surreptitiously cleaning the kitchen and bathroom before the kids go in. Despite this, me and the kids have come back with rotten colds. DH is made of sterner stuff (and an immune system that it used to the germs!) and has escaped, lucky him. I like my MIL but she has a new partner after my FIL died when DH was 18 (before I knew him), and the new partner is just awful - a Fellow of Physics at one of the Cambridge colleges, you just cannot chat to him, it all has to be a Proper Discussion. He also has never had nor wanted kids, and makes it very clear that he can only barely tolerate my two so am constantly shushing, tidying up and generally trying to keep them out of the way when we are in the house. Too much like hard work for me. Just booked in for the Easter weekend and will then use the baby as an excuse not to go for a good long while after that!

16 week MW appt for me tomorrow - trying to remember if I need to take a sample, and if I do, have I got a suitable container?!! DS also back at school, so been packing bags all evening and trying to remember what he needs. He's only had a week off, but baby brain has well and truly kicked in!!

stacey212528 · 24/02/2013 23:48

I needed to take a sample sitting and didn't have a container so used a jam jar! Lol.

RuckAndRoll · 25/02/2013 12:15

hi all. I've had a quick read but apologies I can't remember everything that's going on.
unfortunately we aren't abroad on a beach, still in the uk visiting family, off abroad later this week.
pretty sure I've started feeling the baby move, well I think that's what I'm feeling!
look after yourselves everyone Smile

FoofFighter · 25/02/2013 13:42

dave any news today? x

beckie, so sorry my pet, sounds like you are better off out of it though, what an arse :( x

I'll PM you all with the FB group link as soon as it's done ok. If I miss you out, please do remind me though... baby brain and all that y'know Wink

Anyone who has not had a sexing scan got any idea what you're having? Does anyone have any preferences?

Last time I wanted a boy. And I got DS :) This time I really have no preference at all. And no strong feeling either way :)

FoofFighter · 25/02/2013 14:16

I think it's a boy, no idea why. I think I'd prefer a boy for OH's sake as we are only having one and it can carry on the family name, plus he is a very blokey bloke with pool, footy, bowls etc I think he would have a closer relationship with a boy.

Secretly though I would like a girl as my relationship with my grown up DD is far closer than that with my son and I'd love that to be the same again :)

but honestly, really no huge preference, maybe 55/45 in favour of a girl.

Hello, I'm in hospital. Again. Was readmitted yesterday and feeling really down in the dumps now. STBXH is digging his heels in re moving out, so it's had to be put in the hands of my lawyer. An expense I can well do without given I've somehow got to magic the money by myself to pay for the mortgage, all the baby stuff and childcare, as I am not expecting much in the way of maintenance from him.

About to get going on the 4th litre of IV fluids.

I would like to be in the Facebook group as well please.

Sorry for the moan, but feeling a bit sad!

FoofFighter · 25/02/2013 14:48

check your PM boxes, let me know if the link doesn't work!
Waves, not good, why does he need to be like this when he I assume can see that you are way past your best right now and very vulnerable? Dick Angry
