Is anyone else still having cramps? I'm 10+2, and they came on in mega force today, and stayed for about 10 mins I think. Gave me a bit of a fright as I don't think I've had them that strong before!

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 11/02/2013 19:21

I'm tentatively going to say that I've been feeling better (nausea-wise) the last few days so I'm wondering if I'm passed it now. I'm over 11weeks so hoping that's the case. STILL not had my scan date thru which is pretty annoying.

Does anyone have a double buggy or have any views on doubles? Went to look today with a more pregnant than me friend and I quiet like the baby jogger city select but don't know anyone who has owned one.

frogchops · 11/02/2013 19:55

SJG I'm exactly the same with the pot belly. I feel like I'm showing at 8 weeks, and I haven't put a single pound on. Midwife reckons its not weight but my shape us just changing. I look like a right chuffer!

Tat71 · 11/02/2013 20:06

Hi girlwiththeyellowhat, oh how I'm dreaming of a day of being nausea free, anyway, I have a city select double buggy, got it when my 2yo son was born as my daughter was 2 at the time, I've been very happy with it, it's very sturdy, has a huge shopping basket which I love because I live in city and don't drive much. I used it in various combinations, and now I have a step on the back of it for my daughter and son sits in seat. I'll be using pram/ seat combination again in september, all going well. Only thing I can think of that might be a negative is that it's not particularly compact to fold up and put in the car, and seats are separate to base. But ours fits into boot of VW golf fine.

Girraferama · 11/02/2013 20:13

Hi all, thanks for the sister-ship after bloody MIL spilled beans! Still fuming and could barely stand to be in the same room as her yesterday..grr.

Struggling to keep up with this thread it's going so fast!

I'm 9+2 now and have felt almost normal for the last 2 or 3 days... Have even managed to eat dinner with DH! Am I being over optimistic to think this is it now? Or should I be worried?

On another note, has anyone had the lujan? My MW said I'm entitled to it and I've read on here there is no danger at any stage but I'm wondering if its worth it given we are already in mid-Feb - surely the flu season is all but over?

Girraferama · 11/02/2013 20:14

Sorry just realised that said lujan! I mean flu jab!!

jennimoo · 11/02/2013 20:22

I was instructed by MW to get the flu jab from my surgery but they have none left and no more coming in, so thinking ill leave it.

andadietcoke · 11/02/2013 20:27

I had the flu jab at my booking in. It was hilarious. She asked me if I wanted it, I said yes, and literally 60 seconds later it was done. Never known anything like it. No discussion of pros or cons. Done.

BinarySolo · 11/02/2013 20:33

I've had the flu jab. Had flu over Xmas and it was miserable. Also had it when I was carrying ds. Definitely worth gettin the jab as I think it helps stop you getti norovirus as well as flu. Dh and ds currently have flu and I'm fine so definitely working.

Re the veggie thing; I am veggie and have totally gone off fake meats! Thought of it makes me gag.

I'm thirsty all the time. No wonder I'm getting up about 5 times a night to pee. Not been sick for a couple of days but still got diarrhoea. Such fun!

BinarySolo · 11/02/2013 20:35

Mine was the same dietcoke! Asked if I wanted it, said yes, blinked and a needle appeared! My ds cried as though it was him having it!

TotalShock · 11/02/2013 20:38

Please can anyone who has had any brown discharge/ bleeding talk to me about how much you experienced. For the last two days I have noticed something similar to the end if my period but today is more a noticeable stain rather than just when I wipe. There was also some dark brown stringy sort of cm. I have had cramps like period pain but also some pain in my pubic area. I have a really bad feeling about it. So do you think this is something that needs checking or I'm panicking too much??

jennimoo · 11/02/2013 20:40

totalshock I can't help, sorry, but hope all is well.

I feel left out not getting a flu jab now :( might check if the pharmacies have any paid-for ones left.

andadietcoke · 11/02/2013 20:44

totalshock I had it for about ten days. On the first day there were little stringy dark brown bits in, then the rest of the time it was just watery brown discharge in my knickers. EPU said it was probably from bedding in even though it started at about 7 weeks.

jemimahpuddleduck · 11/02/2013 20:50

Total I had this last week at 8+3 It was only ever brown and lasted two days it was really just in CM but enough to be obvious in knickers. I also had cramps but were very mild. Went to the doctors who sent me for early scan and everything was fine, no evidence on scan that there was any bleeding so must of been old blood. I did have to wait two days to be scanned though so if you are really worried maybe worth going to A&E as I think they see you quicker. That's what GP told me to do at the time if I felt it was getting worse.

Fingers crossed for you that all is well. I did alot of research at the time and most of it was positive as long as it's not red blood although spotting and cramps are a bit more of a concern so do get checked if you are worried.

mynameisnotmichaelcaine · 11/02/2013 20:50

totalshock, I've had brown cm all three times. In fact in my first pregnancy, I had brown cm, then heaving red bleeding and cramps at 12 weeks, and all was fine. If I were you, though, I would call your midwife tomorrow; she might want to get you checked out, and it will give you some peace of mind.

Creamtea1 · 11/02/2013 20:50

totalshock if you are worried you should contact your gp or midwife - that's what they are there for. Try not to stress yourself and hope you feel better soon.

Am v v Envy of binarys diarrhoea

mynameisnotmichaelcaine · 11/02/2013 20:50

heavy not heaving!

mynameisnotmichaelcaine · 11/02/2013 20:51

Must have heaving on the brain, given I am doing lots of it at the moment!

TotalShock · 11/02/2013 21:11

Thank you.. I'm 10+5 and just really worried. I'm going to call tomorrow. Thanks again

LexyMa · 11/02/2013 21:16

What makes me heave is anything touching my throat - inside or out. So, scarf it wrongly - gag gag gag. Toothpaste too frothy - bleeeugh.

Also, pungent smells. I nearly went and had words with someone three tables away from us in the restaurant on Sunday lunchtime because the smell of their espresso was making me heave. I contented myself with pointing it out to DH and he looked at me Hmm like I was the coal pit canary.

LexyMa · 11/02/2013 21:16

Scarf it = Scarf tied

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 11/02/2013 21:19

Thanks Tat, I did fold it in the shop an thought it looked like it folder smaller than my current pram. Wouldn't bother with the carrycot and just used the carseat adaptor to start with. We've got an Astra so I'm sure it would fit, the normal double jogger for as my friend has it and we tested it out.

Will go back to the pram shop with DH and see what he thinks.

I used to get Graze boxes and hoping they send me the survey again soon! I love the nuts and the strawberry shortbread thingy mmmmmm

I've not been weighed since my midwife visit 3 weeks ago, I must have put on weight but I'm trying not to stress about it. I feel like a house side and starting to think there is 2 in there. Twins run on both sides!

Girraferama · 11/02/2013 21:47

Oh lexyma that sounds awful. Weirdly I've not had particularly sensitive smell to anything except breath!! It is the weirdest thing, I can smell people's breath when they are several metres away!! It is disgusting and very difficult when working with customers or having a meeting around a small table!! My DH came home after eating kebab the other night and I nearly divorced him there and then!!

amiready · 11/02/2013 21:53

Hi everyone
kimjayne I'm so so sorry you went through all that with your PIL telling your best friend - that is pretty gutting and sad. Some people are so insensitive aren't they?! Really bad.

My good news today is - that I've finally signed a contract!!! Whoop whoop!! This is after 6 months of asking for one!!! And it is the highest maternity leave benefit - which they were trying to do me out of for no good reason at all. So I am very very pleased. Now just need to hear a heartbeat and then can finally tell someone!!

What's funny about baby bumps - is that I definitely have a small one coming up just over my pubic bone - it's weird, if I stand sideways to the mirror, I have two bumps - one my big belly, and one beneath it, slowly appearing. Everyone should check theirs out!! It's so cool!!!

Really hope all is well in this pg. It seems so unfair that my 12 week scan is actually 12 +5 so I have to wait almost an extra whole week before telling the world!!!

batfuttocks · 11/02/2013 21:54

So fed up! Nearly twelve weeks and still feeling sick. My tummy looks like I'm twenty weeks, I am convinced if I could JUST POO (pleeaase god) it would all feel so much better.

What's worse is the kids have sensed my weakness and are playing up.
