Pear what were you doing up at 4 Shock!! I was asleep at 9:30 last night ha ha

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 29/01/2013 10:38

I'm okay thanks pear
No kitty it wasn't a bad fall, I slipped, bashed my arms, and kind of sat down rather than landing with a bump on my arse and didnt move for 10 minutes because of the pain in my elbow.

And bumpy didnt even wake up. He seems to have a noticable wake/sleep pattern now.
I'm not sure what he's kicking in there probably the placenta but it's making me feel quite queasy.

peardrop2 · 29/01/2013 13:33

Kitty - I am going to bed early but I'm not sleeping well. I just can't get used to sleeping on my left hand side. Surrounding myself in pillows seems to help! Anyway DH woke up early for work which woke me up. Once I'm awake bubs starts being very active first thing and it's tricky to go back to sleep Hmm

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 29/01/2013 14:16

What happened to being blooming. Humpf. heartburn, reflux, knackered, and look like crap. Did I miss my bloom? Did anybody see where it went?

kittykatsforever · 29/01/2013 14:54

Pear I wouldn't worry too much about left hand sleeping at this stage, last night was the first night I've had a reasonable nights sleep but before then with a blocked up nose it's been however I can, left, right middle front if it helped me!

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 29/01/2013 15:04

I agree with kitty I'm currently sleeping however I can just to get some sleep.

Jojobump1986 · 29/01/2013 15:41

Me too, although I put a pillow under my bump to support it when I'm lying on my right. I've decided that takes the pressure off the vein so it's all ok! Wink

Lorelei353 · 29/01/2013 16:09

My sleeping's hit and miss. Some nights I'm okay - although I do have to flip flop from right to left all night - and some nights my back and hips just ache massively when I lie in any position too long.
This morning also brought the unwelcome return of sciatica. Hmph. What's that you said about bloom frus? If you find yours, will you see if mine's there too?

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 29/01/2013 16:14

lore in the best possible way, in glad it's not just my bloom that is missing.

Jojobump1986 · 29/01/2013 16:28

My bloom has yet to make an appearance too. I bet someone's stolen them all. They've got a whole bouquet of stolen blooms!

kittykatsforever · 29/01/2013 20:32

Me too and might I add I seem to have not only lost a bloom but been dragged under a bus when it was stolen!

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 29/01/2013 20:42

Must have happened when someone got a huge plunger and plungered my stomach and made it huge and sticky-out-y. Hmm

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 29/01/2013 22:12

Does the stolen bloom look like this one or this one?

Jojobump1986 · 29/01/2013 22:18

Bloom bouquet Wink

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 29/01/2013 22:27

They look so pretty jojo it would almost be a shame to use them.

Did I say I finally caught the bump moving earlier. Didnt look like this

Anyone else caught theirs moving yet?

Jojobump1986 · 29/01/2013 23:21

MIL got us the standard blue bouquet after DS was born & it was ages before I could bring myself to dismantle it! I saved most of the fabric flowers & leaves & put them in a tiny vase I have in our living room purely because I couldn't bear to throw them out! They're so pretty!

I don't remember seeing my bump actually visibly move even at the end of the last pregnancy. I do remember sitting across the room from a friend who was trying to pretend she wasn't in labour & watching her stomach wobbling around - really freaked me out! I can't decide if I'd like this or not!

bringonthetrumpets · 30/01/2013 01:13

Yes to the bumping and jumping bump. This kid moves around and it looks like a sac of cats. I don't know if it's the lack of abdominal tone from being stretched twice before or if she just kicks that hard, but she is a very, very strong kicker! Her favorite spots have been either right under the belly button (ouch) or into my hip bones.

No to the blooming, especially today. My back is killing me- even after a trip to the chiro to put my old-lady hips back in place. I have to say I've been very surprised at my sudden increase in libido! My goodness, where did that come from?? Grin Blush

Jojobump1986 · 30/01/2013 01:19

My bump is jumping! Grin DH saw it too! After about 5 attempts! He stops wriggling whenever Daddy's in the room!
Going to bed now! I didn't feel up to doing the shopping today so DH did a late-night run & decided that we're going to have salads for lunch tomorrow that had to be prepared by me tonight! Definitely having a lie-in tomorrow!

Lorelei353 · 30/01/2013 13:07

Can't see bump jumping but you can feel it from the outside now, although DH hasn't yet. Babs stops wriggling whenever he puts his hand on my bump.

Bloom is wilting further. Had a miserable night's sleep last night. Hips and back and calves just aching. Had to get up at 4.45 and just wander around the house trying to settle them down. So tired today and off to a gig tonight.

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 30/01/2013 14:01

Bumpy does that too lore moment DH puts his hand on the bump he stops moving. Bumpy doesn't seem to mind dd touching though. But then he's probably used to dd climbing all over me anyway.

Catching (seeing) it move is the tricky one and dependant on how tight my top is, as if I lift it up he stops. Responce to light I guess.

kittykatsforever · 30/01/2013 14:17

Mine goes mad whenever I lie down on my back, can almost predict to anyone if they want to see it that it will start within a few minutes, was the same with dd, only a week after I felt it it was visable moving although I only ever got the flicks not the whole body move I've seen some people have which is amazing!

bringonthetrumpets · 30/01/2013 15:37

DH finally felt her move about two nights ago. Now he's hooked and won't leave my belly alone. He's always asking "is she moving right now!?" Hmm Nope, not if you're not feeling anything darling!

Lor Leg aches and cramps at night can significantly be reduced through calcium/magnesium supplements. I know I've posted about it before, but ration 1:1 or 1:2 (ie 1,000mg cal to 500 mg mag) of liquid or tablets if you can't find liquid right before bed will help! It's also awesome at helping you fall asleep if you're having problems with sleeping. Take the suggested dose on the bottle, you know you can reduce the dosage if you start having loose BMs. Epsom salt baths (like 3 cups of the salts in a very warm bath) before bed can help reduce the leg cramps and restless legs as well.

Lorelei353 · 31/01/2013 09:47

Thanks for the info bring. I'll have a look into those supplements.

Actually slept okay last night (just didn't get enough of it) but still achy this morning. Lower back is not happy. It was really sore after a few hours sitting at a gig last night.

peardrop2 · 31/01/2013 10:09

Lor - I woke up with lower back pain too Hmm I could do with a really good stretch!!

Lorelei353 · 31/01/2013 11:31

Me too pear. I missed my yoga class last night because I went to that gig but I could really have done with it!
