Cacks81 · 26/01/2013 18:27

Have loved reading your threads and catching up. The poo talk and celebrations have made me laugh!

Not many symptoms, except from feeling oddly low. Walking round with face like a slapped ... Need to cheer up!

In backstage at the theatre tonight, selling food in the green room for the cast of the musical theatre group I'm usually involved with - from left to right, I'm coveting: kit kats, crunchies, fizzy drinks, cheese scones, flapjack, coffee cake, coconut cake, rock cakes, sandwiches, crisps and endless tea and coffee!!
At the moment I've done well be only having a cheese scone, but I think it might be my new carb of choice!

amidwifecrisis · 26/01/2013 20:29

What a week. I had some light bleeding on Wednesday got referred to epau. There's 2 of the little buggers in there. I nearly fainted. TWINS!! DH is still pale ;-)

jm233 · 26/01/2013 20:45

YEEHAW, twins!! Wow, you must be blown away! Yikes and yippee, 2 babies. Did you have any inkling??

TotalShock · 26/01/2013 20:59

Wow midwife! Do you have any twins in the family or is it a total bolt out of the blue?

jennimoo · 26/01/2013 21:04

Congratulations amidwifecrisis! Are they identical?

LexyMa · 26/01/2013 21:15

Oh wow! Can't wait to hear more, amidwifecrisis.

andadietcoke · 26/01/2013 21:18

Twins!!! Wow. How exciting midwifecrisis (once you've got used to the idea, maybe!).

KamikazeeKid · 26/01/2013 21:22

Woohoo twins!!

CrikeeThree · 26/01/2013 21:30

brilliant news, midwife !

MeanMrsMustard · 26/01/2013 21:40

Wow! Twins eh? Did you get any "twinny" symptoms?

Thanks to all you told me about their abdominal pains earlier. I'm going with ligament pain. I don't think I have a uti as I had my bloods and urine tests last week at my booking in appointment and they all came back clear. I do have a drs appointment next week though to discuss utis in pregnancy as my midwife said I am at increased risk due to past infections.
The pain has calmed now so hopefully all ok.

Hope you're all having a good weekend.

Kittenkatzen · 26/01/2013 21:50

Wow amidwifecrisis how exciting! Massive congrats Grin

badguider · 26/01/2013 21:57

Twins Grin

In a strange way I quite fancy twins as I don't fancy pregnancy again yet I'd ideally love two kids.

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 26/01/2013 22:33

Ooh! Twins! Grin CONGRATULATIONS! Grin

LotsaTuddles · 26/01/2013 22:54

Congratulations amidwife, everyone keeps asking me if I have twins because I've started to get a bump already and twins runs in both families and has skipped a generation on both sides.

I laughed everyone off before, but now I'm a bit panicked, will find out soon enough I guess

amidwifecrisis · 26/01/2013 23:03

I was very sickly early on but it was still a shock surprise. And yes I should have said in my previous post, identical!

Creamtea1 · 26/01/2013 23:16

....enters the thread again very smugly and reminds ladies that I did say at least a few of us would be having twins!! :) :)
Absolutely lovely news amidwife congratulations!

Creamtea1 · 26/01/2013 23:19

Oh and also amidwife can you answer the pre pared twin questionnaire Grin
-any twins in family?
-early bfp or not?
-early sickness (check)
-first pregnancy?
-how tall are you and how old?

amidwifecrisis · 26/01/2013 23:42

Paternal and maternal twins (and one set of triplets)
very early bfp
yy sickness
Second pg
5ft 6in and 29 yo

CarrieJayne · 27/01/2013 00:05

Ooh congrats midwife, very exciting!!! 29 is quite young for the twin stats isn't it? Although they do say it's often subsequent pg not the first, so that fits. I agree with you badguider, I too fancy two but one pregnancy! Ooh well done, that was a nice surprise to come back to this evening! Xxx
