Pizza mmmmmm
Cheese mmmmm
Oh no am starving now!!!!

LexyMa · 22/01/2013 21:44

Oh heck. Twins? Yeeesh. I had BFP at cd25, but faint. Am nearly 34. Tum is popping out at 8w a bit. Didn't have sickness last time, nauseous at specific times of day this time.

Nah. Don't believe it. No history of twins anywhere in my family.

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 22/01/2013 21:48

Ive stopped drinking fizzy, so have had the occasional cup of tea. It makes me feel really icky. I think its the milk. I bought some lemon and ginger tea bags today and am going to give them a go.

SGJ · 22/01/2013 21:51

Yes, Catpuss! The pizza is now packed away ready for lunch tomorrow but (at the risk of sounding crass) unless I've had a massive poop I don't think I should be anything else at all, let alone cold, stodgy, carb-tastic pizza!

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 22/01/2013 21:55

Grin Do you think it will start coming out of our ears eventually?? God only knows what will happen if I

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 22/01/2013 21:56

need to take iron supplements! Confused

badguider · 22/01/2013 21:57

I used to be utterly addicted to tea with milk but am now having a black tea first thing then a few green teas through the day - the thought of milk in it makes me boak.

(though a few days ago i was sinking whole glasses of milk... weird... it's different every day!)

Kittenkatzen · 22/01/2013 21:59

So sorry oneslice I hope pure being looked after

catpuss the lemon and ginger teabags are my best friend at the moment, that and peppermint tea - they seem to help curb the constant hunger slightly!

Twins - I actually did dream I was pg with twins two days before my bfp, it's one of the things that made me think Hmm. Also my belly is definitely feeling firmer - I can't suck it in flat any more Confused However, no history of twins and zero sickness and a half-strength bfp the day before AF due makes me think its all in my head :)

Oh and Envy

Readytosettle · 22/01/2013 22:10

Starving hungry but too nauseous to eat anything! Any suggestions for a bed time snack that won't make me vom?!

Readytosettle · 22/01/2013 22:13

P.s tea started tasting foul to me before I knew I was pregnant....be careful with all that green tea badguider I think it's really high in caffeine!

SGJ · 22/01/2013 22:54

ready - get some Tracker bars. Winner!

KamikazeeKid · 22/01/2013 23:17

Cacks I have that annoying leg feeling! I thought it was supposed to happen later on!! I never had it with my son tho.

One slice, im so sorry to hear your news xx

jennimoo · 23/01/2013 05:04

Badguider - do check on green tea. I think it slows absorption of folic acid so might not be good in early pregnancy...

Hooya · 23/01/2013 05:29

Hello! Just to say re green tea, I live in Asia where it is everywhere and no guidance from my doc here about not drinking it. Just not in excess, but the same goes for all caffeinated things right?

Has anyone else started, um, retching? I did this morning, it was gross.

Scan tomorrow where my hopes of hearing a heartbeat and this pg sticking are increased given how rotten I feel!

Hooya · 23/01/2013 05:32

Oh and Zeux and jennie glad you said that about shivering! I haven't read that anywhere as a symptom but I'm constantly cold and shivery even in my boiling hot office!

jennimoo · 23/01/2013 07:01

Just googled and looks like you'd have to drink a lot of green tea for it to affect folic acid levels, so should be fine. I didn't realise it still had caffeine in though (but I don't like it anyway...)

Woke too early with sicky indigestiony feeling and DH just left on a work trip the next 2 days. Will be knackered by the time he gets home!

PurplePoppySeed · 23/01/2013 07:59

So sorry to those who have dropped off the bus, look after yourselves and don't push yourself back into daily life too quick, it can take time. Hopefully you'll be back on board soon xx

I have food envy from catching up this morning, from reading about everyone enjoying marmite, I've totally gone off it, wonder if I keep trying it'll get nicer again?

jennimoo · 23/01/2013 08:10

I was loving marmite til last night, then had some on crumpet before bed and could taste it all night and slept really badly. So another thing in my 'cant stand the thought of' list.

badguider · 23/01/2013 08:20

Green tea has 25mg of caffeine per mug. As opposed to 75-100mg per mug for black tea and 159mg+ for coffee.

So some caffeine but not loads (up to 200mg a day said to be safe in preg)

Thanks for the heads up about the folic though! Good to check these things out even though it seems fine.

jm233 · 23/01/2013 08:51

I've replaced everything in our house with decaf when ttc (without telling anyone). As far as the tea goes- I literally can't tell the difference. Decaf coffee is a bit less punchy but its better than nothing (I drink quite a lot of both)! Although I do still have a normal latte in the morning... Mmmm

PurplePoppySeed · 23/01/2013 08:53

Maybe not so sensible to try it again then! Just had crumpets for breakfast as I couldn't face having milk with my cereal, but I'm really struggling today - think I have to finally accept that I might actually sickness!

PurplePoppySeed · 23/01/2013 08:55

get sickness!

swaye · 23/01/2013 09:35

Kittenkatzen. Thanks, im feeling stronger today so hopefully i will manage to keep my little secret. :-)

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 23/01/2013 09:40

Oh CRIKEY! The bad dreams hit last night! A total weirdness experience! Confused
