New thread created in haste before the old one fills up!

Jumping for joy. Can tell I'm excited.

Kittenkatzen · 22/01/2013 15:20

:o fl0b0t we can be nutters together then - my two frers live in my bedside cabinet, along with the two cbd's which I can't throw out even though the batteries have long since died and they're both completely blank! Hope your appt goes well.

rumtum I called my gp at about 4 weeks, mostly because I wanted to try and get my appointment at a particular date and time to fit in with work. Doesn't hurt to give them a call, just bear in mind they might not want you to come in before 6-8 weeks or so.

swaye I just had lunch with a friend who has a 1yr old - we spent the whole time chatting about her possibly trying for no.2 and a number of our mutual friends' various bumps and babies. I've never had to bite my tongue so many times in one hour before! It was difficult but I'm glad I didn't say anything just yet :)

Manoodledo · 22/01/2013 15:40

Eek I'm totally with you, I also had 2 very straightforward births and find it hard to believe I could be so lucky again. I know there's no real reason to think that way, but it's niggling at me.

fl0b0t · 22/01/2013 16:21

Cheers guys. Appt went well (even though I cried and looked like an idiot). Got my booking in appt with midwife for 15th Feb :) All getting real-er! ;)

TripleRock · 22/01/2013 17:51

jm , Taramasalata is one of the few food sources of Vit D.

So, I would say consuming large quantities is important, nay essential for your health!

Cacks81 · 22/01/2013 18:20

This thread just keeps getting longer! So pleased.

Very sorry to read if bad news. X

A question - does anyone suffer from 'dead leg' feeling? My left leg has been awful today. Plus, my boobs have stopped hurting, so naturally, the irrational part of my brain is kicking in and panicking! Any thoughts?

Cacks81 · 22/01/2013 18:21

Just 5wks FYI with DD 1.

Cacks81 · 22/01/2013 18:21

*DC!!! Blimey, brain is struggling today.

andadietcoke · 22/01/2013 18:42

Cacks around that time my nipples stopped hurting. Came back a day or so later, so try not to worry. Every day is a fun filled surprise!

Cacks81 · 22/01/2013 18:52

Thanks andadietcoke. So easy to look too much into the smallest thing! Like you say, I'll just work at taking each fun filled day as it comes! X

Rosyisgonnabeamummy · 22/01/2013 18:57

Hi girls.
I'm delighted to learn taramasalata is a green for go food for mums to be. Guess what I'm having for lunch tomorrow?!

I've been for a dating scan today and I can officially tell you I am 8w 4d. It has a heart beat and little limb blobs. My mum said it looks like a duck.

It's slowly becoming a bit real. . .

andadietcoke · 22/01/2013 19:24

Yay Rosy how exciting! I want a dating scan [stamps foot].

Oooh, taramasalata and hot pitta bread strips. Mmmmmm.

Onesliceortwo · 22/01/2013 19:40

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, but I'm afraid I'm hopping off this bus. Seems this little bean hasn't managed to hold on tight as I started bleeding today. Lots and lots of luck to you all x

Cacks81 · 22/01/2013 20:08

So sorry onesliceortwo. I hope you're being we'll looked after and cared for. Good luck with it all. X

jm233 · 22/01/2013 20:30

Sorry to hear your news oneslice. Wishing you lots of luck for next time!

Rosy that is so excitiiiiing! Counting the hours till scan-day Friday!

Glad to see everyone is getting on the taramasalata boat, great news for us all!

Creamtea1 · 22/01/2013 20:38

Really sorry for you oneslice

Confession time.....I've never eaten taramasalata!! Ever in all my years? Tell me what I'm missing! Taste, texture?

andadietcoke · 22/01/2013 20:40

I'm so sorry oneslice. I hope you're being taken care of x

andadietcoke · 22/01/2013 20:41

I'm getting proper scan envy now. Damn my regular periods, even after the mc. Wonder how long it'll be before I break and book a private scan?!

Creamtea1 · 22/01/2013 20:54

Talking of scans.... now I think someone might have already said this, but has anyone thought that out of the 50,000 of us on this thread come 12 week scan time there has GOT to be at least 5 of us that will be having twins, if you go by the stats/averages!
Am v interested to find out if/who is - we can then look at if all the increased twin likelihood factors are true - early bfp, bad/early morning sickness, mum over 30, mum tall (??), not first baby etc etc..
We can have our very own thread stats!

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 22/01/2013 21:03

Well I had a bfp at about 3.4, am 37 and having number 3. There are also twins in my maternal family. If it is me, I may have a nervous breakdown, and DP will definitely have a nervous break down! Confused

amiready · 22/01/2013 21:12

7+2. Going so slowly! Just read an email about a friend/acquaintance who has just miscarried at 11 weeks and 3 days - so close to the end mark! I would be so completely gutted if that happened to me. Just wish we could be out of the danger zone soon.

Re twins - definitely don't think I am, no morning sickness at all!

Still not heard from the hosp, although GP referred me two weeks ago. Not long I know, but will be nice to have another 'thing' underway!

SGJ · 22/01/2013 21:23

My sister lost previous pregnancies at 7, 8 and 10+5 weeks - heartbreaking every time and even now at 33 weeks she's still worrying. IT DOESN'T STOP!
Very sad to hear of more losses on this thread. Best wishes xx
Just had an epic dinner disaster - was starving & DH out at rehearsal so caved & ordered massive amount of Dominos. I've eaten 2 slices and I'M STUFFED!! Actual sob! Damn you constipation! Better get on the taramasalata with the rest of you!!

SGJ · 22/01/2013 21:24

Oh and I am feeling much more sickness than last time and had a REALLY strong BFP at 4 weeks exactly... at least if it's twins I won't be going back to work!!

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 22/01/2013 21:26

SGJ cold pizza for breakfast!

Dorita75 · 22/01/2013 21:28

Twins..I wonder, my sister's convinced I'm having twins because she dreamt it once...Hmm Though, BFP was v strong when I tested day before AF, I'm 37, morning all day sickness started 5ish wks...

Also loving crumpets and marmite, and found eating really regularly (every 30mins) has helped massively last 2 days, trying to eat fruit and healthy stuff though NEED cheese a lot.

Has anyone gone off hot drinks? I can't stomach the idea of tea or coffee and haven't had a hot drink for over a week.
