Thank you. xx

Can't wait to see some more fab scan pics.

LexiLoganberryBump · 28/01/2013 14:08

I've phoned the ante natal clinic about my scan because I'm just so damn impatient Blush and she said the date would be sent out in the post by the end of the week, asked about room for changing the date if DH couldn't make it due to work and she said it would difficult most lilely being short notice by then, so she arranged it for me over the phone at a convienent time for us both, she was a lovely lady and I really appriciate it.

So excited to have a date 13th feb.

FoofFighter · 28/01/2013 16:18

hello all, yes scan was fine, am on the (totally uselss!!) app so just dipping in and out reading as replying is such a faff, will do proper one when we get home Thursday. Thanks

RuckAndRoll · 28/01/2013 16:19

great that you have a scan date lexi

loving all the healthy scans Smile

I'm really stressed today, I have a pre existing gastro medical condition I was taking meds for but have had to come off them. to cut a long story short, I'm currently in a lot of pain and stuck between a gp, midwife, gastro consultant and obstetrician over who will see me.
gp has offered to sign me off work so I can rest and deal with pain at home, and I'm seriously considering taking him up on it. need to shout and rant and cry or something.

RuckAndRoll · 28/01/2013 16:28

p.s. apologies for the grammar, on the phone and it's not the easiest to type on.

duende · 28/01/2013 16:36

ruckandroll maybe do take him up on the offer, whilst you're waiting for something more helpful. I imagine how shattered you must been having to deal with any gastro problems in addition to the usual joys we all have to contend with.

isis, lovely photo, congrats :)

foof, thanks for the quick update, was getting worried!

CarriePie · 28/01/2013 18:24

Today's scan didn't go as planned. Baby's head and skull weren't growing properly and weren't likely to. Because of this he/she wouldn't survive. I have to go back in on Friday for the dr to do the kindest thing possible. We are both completely gutted but sometimes these things aren't meant to be. Xx

Yvonney · 28/01/2013 18:32

Carriepie - oh I'm so sorry to hear that, take care, sending hugs Thanks Thanks Thanks xxx

Yvonney · 28/01/2013 18:47

Ruckandroll - I totally sympathise with you. I have Crohn's disease but am still on my medication, (gastro consultant advised me to). Been told I'll have more appointments than normal with gastro to keep an eye on me throughout pregnancy x

carrie I'm so so sorry, sending you hugs :( [ thanks] xxx

GaryBuseysTeeth · 28/01/2013 18:55

Carrie, I am so sorry to hear your bad news. :(
I hope everything goes smoothly on Friday & that you and OH have a peaceful time.
The antenatal choice board on here is full of women who will be able to give first hand experience/advice/what to expect and miscarriage/pregnancy loss boards are very supportive & helpful for the dark days.
Hospital may have mentioned ARC (antenatal results & choices charity), they've a forum & lots of information. Thanks

ScubaSarah · 28/01/2013 18:58

Carriepie I'm so sorry to hear that. I know it's not 'mumsnettie' but I'm sending you hugs. Hope Friday isn't too stressful and I admire your fatalistic approach - may the fates shine positively on you shortly xxxThanksThanksThanks

beckie90 · 28/01/2013 19:04

Was meant to be Thanks sorry xxx

RuckAndRoll · 28/01/2013 19:11

carrie so sorry to hear your news. take it easy until Friday.

thanks duende dh would rather I took time off work rather than took meds but just not sure.
yvonney glad your chrons is being managed. gastro say they know nothing about pregnancy so can't advise, obstetrics say they know nothing of gastro so can't help. here's a novel idea nhs, communication!
sorry rant over - I'm just confused

Mayanbob · 28/01/2013 19:15

carrie so sorry to hear your news. Hope Friday goes ok, take care of yourselves. Thanks Thanks

I phoned the ultrasound dept at the mat hospital to see where my scan date was only to find out they 'hadn't received my card' (didn't know who I am). This is despite my midwife putting in the card 3 weeks ago and saying she'd chase it when I said I hadn't heard anything 1 1/2 weeks ago. Spoke to the duty community midwife who has now put in a card but am worried I'll have missed out on NT by the time it gets sorted.

Has not filled me with confidence for ongoing care (first pregnancy so am nervous anyway)

RugBugs · 28/01/2013 19:18

So sorry to hear that Carrie Sad

Dexidoo · 28/01/2013 19:23

So sorry carrie. Take care of yourselves x

Yvonney · 28/01/2013 19:32

RuckandRoll - that's a bit crap. You can't be the first pregnant woman your gastro unit have dealt with?!? I'm seeing my gastro doctor next week for first time since being pregnant. He knew we were planning a baby and wanted kept in the loop and said they would see me more. I've not seen the midwife yet but should be getting my booking in appointment in the next week. Hope you get things sorted x

LexiLoganberryBump · 28/01/2013 19:50

So so sorry carrie you and your DH take care of yourselves Thanks

MrsWajs · 28/01/2013 20:00

Oh carrie I'm so sorry to hear that, take care of yourself.

Still no scan date here for me! My engagement ring did come today though so happy happy about that! :)

10ish weeks

LittleMissSnowShine · 28/01/2013 20:52

So sorry carrie

ruck - I've been signed off work for last 3 weeks cos of intense vomiting / nausea. If you need time at home to rest / deal with pain then def take it and if you need meds then take those too, v important to look after yourself in order to look after baby

mrswajs - hurray for the ring arriving!

mayanbob - hope they get you sorted soon and that was hopefully just a blip. Fx that the rest of your ante natal care all goes as planned

Made it in for 4.5 hours in work today and just doing two tomorrow, but will prob have DS on my own tomorrow afternoon so that should be a bit of a challenge! Sickness is gradually improving but energy levels still very low and tablets make me drowsy on top of that so bit of a struggle but pleased to have made it through today anyway!

greenj1 · 28/01/2013 21:15

Had my scan today and it was great. Had a student sonographer doing it as well so got to see my baby for about 20 mins!! It was such a wriggler :)

greenj1 · 28/01/2013 21:17

Oh and I'm 12+4 due August 8th xx

Stopsittingonyoursister · 28/01/2013 21:22

Carrie I am so very sorry to hear your news. I hope you have lots of RL support, and you and your DH can take time to heal and then try again. Sending you lots of [hugs].

littlemiss well done on sticking with work. Did your HG ease when you were last pg?

Foof thank you for popping on and updating us, glad it was good news.

mrswajs photos please!

mayanbob hope everything gets sorted out soon. Just keep ringing until you get the date.

ruckandroll I hope you get the medical situation sorted out soon, for your sake and the baby's sake. Being in pain must be awful. Why not just have a couple of days off to really rest and then see how you feel?

Congrats to all with good news on scans, and best of luck to those having scans tomorrow.

beckie90 · 28/01/2013 21:28

Congrats on your good scan green xx
