But how?! How did you do that?

Maybe you have pregnancy-related superpowers....

Oh and if you're due 2nd July that means you were exactly 19 weeks yesterday Smile

Actually, that's not me being clever or smug, it's just exactly a week before me...

Rach - 20 weeks - due 26th June

HazleNutt · 06/02/2013 21:30

janey1234 · 06/02/2013 21:52

Just had a phonecall from my lovely cousin, who had her 12 week scan today! I had no idea and am so pleased for her. Our family will be packed full of babies!! Smile

I actually introduced her to her DP years ago, so think I deserve some kind of special present or something?! Wink

Welcome binge!
Can one of you pls add me to the list?
Lol 15 weeks. Edd 30/07.

I told my branch today and there were tears. It was lovely. A few people came to tell me they are gutted I will be leaving which was also lovely to hear.
I'm having a craving for Krispy Kreme donuts (not any other kind) and its driving me insane!

HazleNutt · 06/02/2013 22:10

Oh, and it has started. The bump touching. How, why do people think it's acceptable? Sure I sometimes touch someone's arm, maybe shoulder, but honestly, stomach should be off limits, even if there is a baby!

Rache1S · 06/02/2013 22:13

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 06/02/2013 22:13

hazle who was it? A colleague?

Rache1S · 06/02/2013 22:15

Hazle I would never dream of touching someone's belly, baby or otherwise, without express permission. People are weird. I have decided any touching of my bump will be met by a swift karate chop.

Purplemonster · 06/02/2013 23:23

Ha thanks for clearing that up Janey, yes, 19 weeks would make sense since my 20 week scan is next week. Really must pay more attention to these things!
Nooooo Hazle not the bump gropers, already? Hell, I freak out when people touch my shoulder let alone my stomach! I think I'm going to end up needing therapy...or more likely bail money Grin

HazleNutt · 07/02/2013 08:08

Yes, the bump-gropers. Some people at the gym, so not total strangers, but not exactly friends either. Was very odd.

BraveLilBear · 07/02/2013 10:03

Hazle - 21 weeks, due 21st of June.
Rach - 20 weeks - due 26th June

Ta-da an organised time-ordered list [smug] with Purple's upgrade to 19!

Fab news on your announcement Lol - how did you do it? Big ta-da announcement in the office, round-robin email, tell office loud mouth and let it spread?

Yes, I am asking for how to create gossip tips!

Bumpgropers beware. May start carrying taser...

Purplemonster · 07/02/2013 10:46

Gah! You lot jixed me! Got my first non family bump grope today, I was remarkably calm given that it wasn't even just a quick touch or pat but a sustained run your hand all over it rub. Uuuggghhh, feel like I need to wash, it was a lady from work, don't get me wrong, she's very nice but DON'T TOUCH ME! But I just stood there like a lemon whimpering on the inside. Idiot.

Actually got a few hours sleep last night so feeling much more human today, on the down side, the tiny chip that has been in my windscreen for months this morning has turned into a 3 inch crack so I'm going to have to replace the windscreen just weeks before I put the car up for sale, grrr.

Purplemonster · 07/02/2013 10:47

Oh and Bear, I told a few people at work and didn't bother telling anyone else, some people it filtered down to through other people and some people are just starting to look at me funny. I just couldn't get my head around 'announcing' it, they'll all figure it out eventually!

Rache1S · 07/02/2013 12:04

Today us not going well! Sad

We got our little doggy neutered on Tuesday so he's got a cone on his head. All was fine Tuesday night but he seemed to spend the whole of last night trying to wrestle the cone off whilst crashing into everything in sight ALL NIGHT! As a result I feel like death today.

Then I got to work and had a 9am row with someone over the phone.

And I just had to chair a disciplinary resulting in having to sack a little 18 year old boy while he sat there crying.

Another disciplinary to look forward to this afternoon. Roll on home time!

HazleNutt · 07/02/2013 12:07

Rach, the dog is just trying to prepare you for the sleepless nights to come Grin

BraveLilBear · 07/02/2013 12:16

Oh no poor you Purple I assume it was over clothes?

I swear to god I have never felt the urge to touch another woman's bump. Except for maybe when I was about 6 and my mum was pg with my youngest sister. But that's not creepy.

TBh even seeing movements through a colleague's tummy felt invasive last summer!

BraveLilBear · 07/02/2013 12:25

Bad day Rache Sad

I thoroughly recommend a viewing of on days like today. Grin

Hopefully this afternoon will be better.

Purplemonster · 07/02/2013 12:35

I take it all back, my day isn't nearly as bad as yours Rach...although I thought a member of staff was going to actually get assaulted by a client earlier so it's not all fun and games here either. They're still here too so maybe it should be that they've not been assaulted 'yet'..we've not had to call the police yet so it's definitely not the worst day we've had here though!
It was through a t-shirt Bear which wasn't nearly enough (shudders)

Purplemonster · 07/02/2013 12:51

I'm going to learn to shut up...the police just showed up and we didn't even phone them!

HazleNutt · 07/02/2013 13:03

Purple your job certainly sounds interesting. Shock

BraveLilBear · 07/02/2013 13:41

Woah Purple that's heavy!

I've had quite a fun few days of crisis PR doing things way above my paygrade, including muchos lying. We don't often get police turning up to sort tussles though.

janey1234 · 07/02/2013 14:18

Boring old day in the office for me. No police. Although we have had them in the past, when some protesters have stormed the building (has happened a couple of times) - guess that's what comes of sharing offices with the daily mail. Oooh, although we were stormed by a flashmob a few weeks ago - loads of men who took their tops off. Odd whilst you're trying to get on with your work in spreadsheets...

Am RAGING though, totally furious. Been turned down for my mortgage based on my credit score?!

I'm asking for a 41% LTV total mortgage (thanks to buying when v young and overpaying mortgage for a while) so NO RISK to the bank. I have an 'excellent' credit score according to experian with no issues on my history. The bank agree it's well within affordability limits. Yet they have said no. I am furious. This sounds arrogant but how is ANYONE supposed to borrow any money when they're turning down bloody safe bets like this?! Argh, so frustrating Sad
