OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
resipsa · 08/05/2013 17:10

red about your due date...if it helps, my LMP with a 31 day cycle was 14 April and DD's due date was 19 Jan. She arrived on 20 Jan. So, I guess you'll be about 10 Jan. It's an expensive time of year. Oh and I had a scan at 9 weeks where they estimated the due date and were spot on so you'll get a good idea at your scan.

Exciting, isn't it? Grin

RedRobin1 · 08/05/2013 17:33

oooo that's a good clue res def helps. I have a feeling I ovulated later than usual (due to work stress) so wonder if that has any impact on due date.

It might not be too expensive with all that boxing day sale shopping :)
I just hope baby doesn't decide to come earlier than 10th! Late is fine by me (i'm saying that now!), I just want to space Christmas and birthdays apart.....

kittykatsforever · 08/05/2013 19:46

Oh red I will be watching with interest to see if you take that one back come 40wks lol Grin
I'm a jan baby and think its cool lots to be had in the sales!
Agree you'd never want to be in for Xmas though, can't think of anything worse!
Ask away with questions, that's what we are here for and particulaly first timers when it's all new and unexpected, bet you didn't think the weeing thing would kick in so soon when baby is like a poppy seed did you? Just wait for that first sneeze/ cough wee, I thought that was child birth but no it's pregnancy lol

RedRobin1 · 08/05/2013 20:55

I have started worrying again Sad its going to be a long 9 months.

Started the pink watery spotting again. I am still pregnant according to all the sticks I keep peeing on. I am just scared of another cp as it started off with a watery pink spotting last time.

Also my boobs don't feel sore today at all and look a little deflated again. Maybe the frequent weeing thing was because I had lots of liquids today.

God! I just want this one to stick and get through the first trimester!

Alexandra6 · 08/05/2013 21:04

red Sad I can imagine how anxious you must be feeling. Pink and brown spotting does sound quite common from what I've heard. Wish I could fast forward time for you. Nothing we can say will stop you worrying but really, really try to keep yourself as calm as poss. It could well be breakthrough bleeding and there are countless people, including a friend of mine, that had this and everything was fine. Sending you big hugs and lots of hope x

resipsa · 08/05/2013 22:04

Just a thought...if Alex is right about breakthrough bleeding then you could ask your GP for some progesterone (oral/vaginal) which would stop it and stop the anxiety...you can't OD on progesterone so no risk.

kittykatsforever · 08/05/2013 22:08

Oh red Hmm the first tri is really hard, don't worry about lack of symptoms, really this is nothing to base outcome on as some people have non whatsoever and perfectly healthy pregnancys and others have hg and mmc there really is no link and they do come and go and change all the time, in terms of spotting it is common especially when you are due on your period but also scary, there is nothing you can do to change the outcome at this point but hope for the best and we are all hoping with you with fx, try not to worry even though its inevitable, try to rest and hopefully it will stop overnight, it's the worst thing in the world to see when your pregnant but take heart that me ,when and littlemiss all had it with our current pregnancys which is quite a big proportion and the outcome has been fine, love and unmumsnetty hugs

RedRobin1 · 09/05/2013 07:42

I guess I panic too easy. I just hate the sight of any pink or red or brown. Just brings back that horrible memory and feel so helpless.

There was no more spotting last night and my boobs are killing me, they inflated overnight. I seem to have a hormone surge over night and feel tired and drained in the mornings. Sorry! I keep doing this - just want to get to 6 weeks, then 8 and then 12 and I will be fine then.

res I will check with my GP about progesterone this week.

Thanks everyone for the hand holding - I will calm down - I promise!!

Kittenkatzen · 09/05/2013 07:57

Wooooosaaaar red, woooosaaaarrrr (Bad Boys stylee Smile) I really feel for you, it's such a worrying time. But as kitty said lots of ladies on here can relate first hand experience of the same and everything being just fine. Un-MN hugs for you.

wee I think red is right about it being a pg symptom sometimes - I definitely switched between mild diarrhoea and mild constipation up until about 12 weeks . Def call the docs though if you're concerned about dehydration as they may give you something to make sure.

ION I have developed a new mantra/stock response that I will henceforth be using to anyone in rl who asks anything about anything to do with our plans for pg, childbirth, labour and looking after baby....from this moment on, every question/attempt at conversation will be answered with "We're just gonna see how it goes....oh you did it that way did you? That's nice. We're just gonna see how it goes". The final straw was a friend (who has one 3 yo) the other night literally laughing in my face about our plan/hopes to baby led wean at 6 months - apparently there's "no way we'll last that long" and baby will "definitely" be waking every hour if I don't give baby rice at 4 months. Ffs. Maybe that is what will happen, maybe not, but just f* off with your smug know it all attitude about everything. AngryAngry. Sorry, rant over, feel better now! Grin

Kittenkatzen · 09/05/2013 07:59

Oh, and a friendly Thursday morning reminder for you lovely ladies...

DO YOUR PELVIC FLOOR EXERCISES!!

SmileSmile

Alexandra6 · 09/05/2013 07:59

Great news it's stopped, really good sign and the boobs too. red you def don't panic too easily, I would be exactly the same! Just think, it's another day that you're pregnant and I reckon the pink watery spotting is just hormonal while baby robin is getting stronger and implanting well Smile

Alexandra6 · 09/05/2013 08:02

Do pelvic floors help with birth then?

RedRobin1 · 09/05/2013 08:18

kitten I am dreading that smug know-it-all attitude from mums (I know 5 close friends and family in RL who gave birth this year) I like your responses Grin

awww alex I love baby robin. I shall refer to baby as baby robin from now on :)

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 09/05/2013 10:12

red I totally understand your panic. The first trimester sucks, we will all be here when you need your hand holding.

kitten your friend is talking crap, she wants you to feed your baby rice at 4 months because that's what she did. I love my mum for her version of baby advice. Anytime I asked her about anything baby related her stock answer was "well it was that long ago when I had kids I honestly can't remember, and the advice will be different now anyway"

resipsa · 09/05/2013 13:57

Yeah, never got the weaning competition. The digestive system isn't sufficiently developed for solids before +/- 6 months and they'll be eating for the next 90 years or so - no rush!

weechops · 09/05/2013 15:19

All better in the weechops house yay!

Kitten I read your post and then squeeeeeeezzzzed :)

I called the antenatal clinic today and they passed me on to maternity records to find out where my appointment date is! They said they have my letter and just waiting for a midwife to pass it, then I should hear next week. About time, ill be 10 weeks then!

Kittenkatzen · 09/05/2013 18:13

Well exactly res! Although I'm sure if I said that I'd be told off for mollycoddling or something! Anyway, I have no plans, I'm just going to see how it goes remember! Wink when your mum sounds lovely, that's exactly the response you want isn't it?

Good news on the scan wee, so frustrating when they're slow like that.

red baby robin is too cute, I love it! I really love Robyn as a girls name but we can't have it as it clashes with surname Sad

Alexandra6 · 09/05/2013 19:28

red how are you doing? Been thinking about you (not on a creepy way, obvs, just a hope-the-spotting's-calmed-down kind of way!)

RedRobin1 · 09/05/2013 19:49

alex I am doing good. No more spotting today.

Going to put a face mask on tomorrow - cucumbers and all and just relax.

I have peed on more tests Blush which confirm the same as everyday! I will stop peeing when I run out of sticks (next week!)

kittykatsforever · 09/05/2013 20:13

What tests are you using red? I take it you have an abundance of cheep ones?!
Are they all laid out in a line of chronological order? Wink Lol

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 09/05/2013 20:25

kitty you've just reminded me of my early testing days. I had all the sticks labeled and kept doing comparisons by hiding the 11dpo, 12dpo etc bit and mixing them up so I was comparing them blind.

Oh the madness of early pregnancy.

RedRobin1 · 09/05/2013 21:44

Whew! I am not the only one labelling and arranging the sticks! 11 so far and still got a few more to go through.

kitty I have a mixed bag - FRER, Superdrug, Internet cheapies, clear blue digital, clear blue plus, boots own brand.

DH was shocked to see I had such a collection. I bought them all last year - never got to use them and stashed them away so far out of sight so I would never be tempted.

Alexandra6 · 09/05/2013 21:52

I kept buying new ones and threw the receipts away so I wouldn't feel bad! Mine was an expensive habit - first response and clear blue digi. The digis were my faves as found out properly on one of those but I couldn't believe the cheek of them when they all switched themselves off after a couple of days so I couldn't collect them like a crazy woman Blush

Kittenkatzen · 10/05/2013 07:30

You girls should arrange all your sticks and have them framed into a piece of art to decorate the nursery wall.....Grin

Actually, I reckon the Tate would probably pay thousands for that ha!

MrsBri · 10/05/2013 08:23

I feel left out as I only peed on 3 sticks as that's all I had!

I have photos of them, but no display :-)

And baby on bladder isn't helpful, Kitten. I'm still not having to get up in the night to wee. Not sure why, but feeling very lucky! :-)
