I'm so so excited! Apparently it's moving/twitching on the screen, is that right or is it still? Oh I hope everything's ok, keep getting worried because I feel cold a lot and I thought your temp heats up in pregnancy? Trying to stay nice and relaxed though. I swear I will hug the sonographer if she can find my bean and tell me it's all looking good! x

MrsBri · 19/04/2013 21:10

Ours didn't move...4 weeks later he was bonkers though :-) And a baby, not a bean!

You can see the heart flickering though.

My temperature didn't really go up for a while, so don't be concerned about that.

Alexandra6 · 19/04/2013 21:17

Can't wait to see the heart beat! Hope it's alright in there and all comfy and tucked up, ready to be on baby tv! Smile

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 19/04/2013 21:26

Good luck alex

MrsBri · 19/04/2013 21:27

If you look at my profile photos my 8 week scan is there to see, Alex :-)

Alexandra6 · 19/04/2013 21:38

Oh yeah! Ah so cute Smile Better get some sleep, luckily I'm shattered all the time so I think I'll still be able sleep even though I'm nervous! Night all

MrsBri · 20/04/2013 10:00

Not long now, Alex :-) xx

Alexandra6 · 20/04/2013 11:01

In the car on the way argh! Trying to work out how much water I've drunk and if I need to drink more! Can't wait x

MrsBri · 20/04/2013 11:11

Don't drink so much you're bursting! I did and she told me I had to wee so she could get measurements. :-)

Alexandra6 · 20/04/2013 11:43

Yay we saw the baby! Had a good heart beat and the right measurements! Amazing, so happy xx

MrsBri · 20/04/2013 11:53

Fantastic news, Alex :-) It's amazing the weight that's lifted, isn't it? xx

kittykatsforever · 20/04/2013 15:37

Oh so pleased for you, I think it was the right thing for you to do for reassurance and won't seem as long a wait now till 12wks, the odds are really good once you've seen a good heart beat Grin

Alexandra6 · 20/04/2013 15:48

It's brilliant, so good to see it and the heart beating away :) Kept laughing because I was so happy and every time my stomach moved, she lost the baby on the screen haha and then I got the giggles and couldn't stop! It even twitched a couple of times, little movements! Am still a bit anxious especially now I've seen it and bonded, but much more relaxed than I was.

Any sign of a change of position kitty?

weechops · 20/04/2013 17:17

Alex that's brilliant :) x

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 20/04/2013 17:40

] That's great news alex so pleased for you. I'm due my nhs scan this thurs and am feeling fairly relaxed about it.

I can't believe you got the giggles Grin

Alexandra6 · 20/04/2013 17:49

Thanks wee how are you doing?

Thanks too when - and I know, I think it was a mixture of happiness, nerves and relief, baby kept disappearing as her hand shook around on my laughing belly haha! DH just kept saying "wow, amazing" over and over again, think he was lost for words!

kittykatsforever · 20/04/2013 18:20

No no change here I don't think!
I laughed at my early scan to! Aparently it's a good sign if they move or wiggle, I was 9wks at mine so further forward and she said it shows brain development ?! So the fact your earlier and it was twitching very good, try and savour the memory as you'll be back to nervous in about oh 24hs! Wink

Alexandra6 · 20/04/2013 18:43

Really kitty ahhh our baby is a genius haha! Wink Am already back to worrying a bit but that's just me, a born worrier annoyingly! So happy though, keep thinking about it in there twitching away and heart beating, it's just amazing.

weechops · 22/04/2013 07:05

Wow the dreams I'm having!!! Most of them are really exciting like mission impossible :) some of them are really naughty with various hot actors and a few random ones where dh leaves me or cheats on me. I remember when pg with Ds I dreamed dh was having an affair with his ex and it felt so real when I woke up I was in a mood with him for ages haha :)

How's everyone feeling? The tiredness is a killer for me right now. Hoping it passes soon.

Alexandra6 · 22/04/2013 14:28

I am having exactly the same - exciting dreams mixed in with a few seriously naughty ones Blush Funny about you being in a mood with DH. I woke up one morning after dreaming I'd had a big row with DH and was so grumpy with him even though he's a real morning person and was being lovely!

I'm also SO tired, have turned into a seriously boring person - home and in bed by 9pm most nights!! Every time I feel tired or sick though, I just remind myself how lucky/happy I am to be preggers, does the trick!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 22/04/2013 19:12

wee and alex I'm not getting the same kinky dreams think but then I hardly ever remember my dreams.

I know what you mean about being dull, I too am in bed most nights by 9pm. Have to stay up tonight though - last episode of broadchurch.

Alexandra6 · 23/04/2013 16:50

Well thanks for making us feel like a couple of perves when! haha Wink

Not sure if I've said this already (baby brain) but I'm really struggling with protein at the moment - I can eat carbs and cheese, but good protein foods like fish, eggs, beans etc, I literally can't face! And lots of veg like spinach and broccoli makes me feel sick just thinking about it! Just worried I'm not getting enough good stuff for the developing baby?

tedmundo · 23/04/2013 17:43

kittykatz .. I have just seen your baby is breech. If you have posted that you have ruled out having him/her turned just ignore this next bit .. I have only skimmed the last section of posts...

I had ds2 turned at 38 weeks. It was VERY painful but quite quick and, for us, successful. I then did have to have a cs but for a different reason. I don't regret giving it a go though!

Hello to everyone else! I have not had much time to keep up with you all but I think about you all! alex .. Yay on the scan. I really hope you are less stressed now.

little Bruce is now 6 weeks old, smiles and giggles a fair bit. Very, very cute. I get some sleep, sometimes. It is going well. So far..... !!

kittykatsforever · 23/04/2013 18:34

Ahh ted its lovely to hear from you and how your both getting on, 6 wks allready, I can't believe it!!
I havnt ruled out ecv at all infact I think I would probably say yes I'm not bothered about the pain, just a post about a baby dying that has scared me but I think that's probably a rare case as apposed to the norm, I know one RL friend whose had it but it wasn't sucsessful so was also worried would it be pointless? Glad it worked for you even if it was required In the end
Alex don't worry too much about healthy eating, yes it is preferable but most people I know live off cheap in the first tri, I know I just crave chips and carbs

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 23/04/2013 20:16

Aww little Bruce. Glad it's all going well ted. Although you have reminded me how little sleep you get with a newborn.

alex haha you old perve. I could well be having very pervey dreams - I just don't remember them . Oh don't worry about your diet too much in the first trimester, as long as you have sorted out your folic acid it really isn't going to matter at all.

I've been obsessed with bacon recently, I've also been really light headed. I think my blood pressures dropped a bit and the obsession with salt is my bodies way of dealing with it or I'm a greedy pig
