Another day another fall! So bloody clumsy, smashed face into road and have bloody lip inside and out, bump and baby ok,pride dented!
As added bonus told still breech aswell, back to the ironing board...... Hmm

MrsBri · 11/04/2013 17:23

Bloody hell, kitty...it is time you stayed home and did nothing!

Hope you're OK. xx

weechops · 11/04/2013 17:55

kitty hope you're ok! x

Kittenkatzen · 11/04/2013 18:31

Omg kitty sounds nasty, hope it's not too painful. Agree you should stay inside for the foreseeable and maybe lock away anything sharp

kittykatsforever · 11/04/2013 21:18

I've never been clumsy before, I have week ankles so they do give way sometimes and I slip to the side but don't usually fall but think bump weight etc made me go then I tried to protect it I think by not hitting the ground so wacked face instead, it doesn't hurt now and is more grazed on nose and chin just bloody lip, I agree about staying in though! Luckily only 2 weeks left in work now

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 12/04/2013 22:04

kitty that sounds painful and embarrassing. Hope you are ok. I'm pretty clumsy normally but when pregnant with dd I was a complete liability. Never fell over but I destroyed our crockery set.

Thanks for the best wishes little I'm nervous as hell. Not been sleeping at all well and when I do fall asleep I'm waking one hour later with nightmares. The stress has set off my ibs and I've been running to the toilet on and off of two days morning sickness and ibs are not a great combination

Alexandra6 · 12/04/2013 22:10

kitty poor you! My friend who's very pregnant said she's clumsy as anything at the moment too, take care.

when was thinking about you earlier, good luck tomorrow lovely, can imagine how you feel, I'm nervous about my 8 week one next week already. Lots and lots of luck and I'll pop in tomorrow to hear your good news Smile

kittykatsforever · 13/04/2013 08:51

Good luck today when, it'll be fine, look forward to hearing your news and hopefully a pic x

weechops · 13/04/2013 09:21

When good luck for today. It will be fine and cant wait to hear all about it later :)

MrsBri · 13/04/2013 09:40

Good luck today, When...I'm sure it'll be all fine :-) A picture would be lovely!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 13/04/2013 11:29

Thanks everyone of the well wishes. It is good news Grin. Baby was alive (worry one out of the way) and the nuchal fold was only 1.3 so that is looking good too.

Feeling tonnes more relaxed now. alex you're up next, very best of luck.

Alexandra6 · 13/04/2013 11:39

Yay when what a relief for you, brilliant news Grin

Really hope I can say the same this time next week!! Although that will be my early scan, my 12 week scan is May 14th.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

MrsBri · 13/04/2013 11:40

That's great, When...huge relief, isn't it?

So, yes, Alex up to the plate now :-)

Alexandra6 · 13/04/2013 11:44

Eeeeeeeeeeeek!

weechops · 13/04/2013 16:15

when that's fantastic! Bet a huge weight has been lifted.

Went to visit my dad in the care hospital today and as I've already told him about the baby, he got excited and told all the nurses. I told him we weren't telling the children yet (cause they would never keep their traps shut :) ) but obviously the nurses dont know, so had to make huge 'NOOOOOO' signs when they tried to congratulate me today lol! Dd looked slightly confused, but if she brings it up later I'll just say they were talking about her auntie.

I'm awful at keeping this to myself though and really want to tell everyone, but I guess I need to respect dh's feelings too and keep quiiet for a bit.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 13/04/2013 21:27

That's so sweet weechops your dad is obviously really excited. I'm dreadful at keeping it a secret too. Dh is pretty good. He didn't tell anyone at work about dd will I was 22 weeks.

kittykatsforever · 14/04/2013 07:05

So pleased for the scan results when it must be a relief!! Did you say you'd had it done privately or have I just made that up in my mind?!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 14/04/2013 18:59

kitty yes it was a private scan. I wanted a nuchal translucency scan doing and thought the hospitals round me didn't do them. On Weds my midwife told me "we've just started doing them do you want one?"

I went ahead with the private one anyway because I was crapping myself and wasn't prepared to wait another 2 weeks I don't know if I'll get my scan date through in time to check the nuchal fold.

The sonographer said I was 12 weeks 4 days on Sat so it only gives me one a half weeks to get an nhs nuchal scan. I'm glad I paid, not sure about dh though.

Alexandra6 · 14/04/2013 20:09

That's sweet about your dad wee We popped in to see some neighbours today and aren't meant to be telling people as I'm only 7 and a half weeks. But when they suggested a glass of wine soon, DH said "not for her now though" and totally forgot it's meant to be a secret! Smile They said congrats and they'd spotted me rubbing my stomach loads so guessed anyway haha! I do rub it lots weirdly, like a Buddha belly!

MrsBri · 14/04/2013 20:43

Wee, that's lovely about your dad and funny about frantically miming to the nurses! :-)

When, my DH is ace at not telling people, but I told quite a few. Partly because my belly was already giving me away, as were my eating habits, so my work colleagues had already guessed. Shovelling crisps in constantly to combat morning sickness isn't subtle when you're known for NEVER snacking!

When, that's quite late for an NHS scan, isn't it? I'd have expected it to take place last week / this week.

Alex, I rub my belly all the time. And the bigger I get, the more I rub. I rub back when I get kicked too so baby knows I'm acknowledging him!

Kittenkatzen · 16/04/2013 07:47

Ahhh when that's lovely and such a relief for you! alex Good luck for your early scan too, what day is it?

Loving all the excited spilling the beans stories! So sweet.

I rub my belly all the time too, it's one of those definite give always isn't it Smile mrsbri the movements (not quite kicks yet, more a rolling sensation) tend to stop for me if I rub back! Makes me laugh as I just picture the baby in there going "whooooaahhhh what was THAT?! There's something out there!" Grin

Alexandra6 · 16/04/2013 08:46

Ah kitten so cute, the idea of the baby thinking that! Apparently if the baby sees lots of light, they get really active!

My scan is on Saturday...eeeeeek! Spent last night with my adorable neices, they're just lovely and really seem to like me, and it made me so excited about maybe having my own. DH would tell me off for that 'maybe'. We WILL have our own! Must be positive. One of my neices is so funny (only 5), she was grabbing my face and kissing me on the lips REALLY hard, wondered what she was doing and then she said "am I wearing lipstick now too?" So funny.

LittleMissSnowShine · 16/04/2013 12:22

kitty - you have been through the wars! When I got to 36 weeks I had pretty bad SPD with DS but one of the slightly weirder things was sometimes my leg would just go dead, I guess it was a trapped nerve or sciatica or something but I took a couple of falls. The stairs in our old house were a nightmare anyway, really steep and narrow and out shower was over the bath in a tiny bathroom so getting in and out of the shower was horrendous. It's awful feeling like you're just this clumsy, out of control idiot but I suppose the main thing is just to take it easy and remember when baby arrives your hormones and body will gradually go back to normal again. Poor you though!! ((hugs))

Alex - Aw bless!! Scan is v soon for you now!

when - congrats on the scan going well, woo hoo!!

wee- Hope your dad is doing ok, that's great how excited he is and a v funny story about your confused DCs when the nurses were trying to congratulate you.

Glad everyone (apart from Kitty!) is doing well. I'm good - busy with work and potty training still but nausea is mostly gone, just have tiredness and a bit of heartburn to combat so trying to get house all beautifully organised while the going is good. Playroom is done and my wardrobe is done, nursery is sort of half done so this weekend we'll be sorting out the garden and weekend after trying to put cot back together in case there's any bits missing lol Grin

We had to let people know so early because of the HG which put me on my back, off work and meant we needed extra help with DS from childminder and grandparents so straight away my mum and dad, in-laws, BIL, SIL, my sister, work colleagues and childminder had to be told and then after that I was afraid of other family members or good friends finding out second hand so I told most of them. Haven't been putting anything on facebook about it or scan pics up or anything tho, I know how hard it is for people ttc / trying to get over mc having, like a lot of you, been thru it last year. 24 weeks on Thurs tho and baby is kicking and kicking away tho so it's hard not to be getting a bit excited by now lol

Well I told everyone at work today. It still doesn't seem quite real, I also feel like I'm tempting fate not even superstitious

People seemed really pleased and a bit Envy I'm taking a year off from work. Work is not a fun place at the moment.

Kittenkatzen · 17/04/2013 07:37

Ooh when that's exciting, what Lin of reaction did you get?
