Aw kitten that's a great scan photo.

mrsbri no news here appart from feeling very nervous. Symptoms are much less today. Scan has been booked for 2 weeks today when I will be 7 wk 3. Feel like I'm going to go crazy in the meantime.

kittykatsforever · 28/02/2013 14:51

Hang on in there when, 5 wks is very early to get symptoms anyway, don't think I got any till after 6 and boobs took ages to kick in ( that is get bigger feel sore) I only had weird dreams in the early stages and paranoia lol
Mrs bri your very organised, I can't pick Untill I see the baby, tend to have a shortlist and go from there although people seem to get very frustrated when you don't announce a name straight away even if its only a day later!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 28/02/2013 14:56

Thanks for the comforting words kitty

I think I've picked a girls name (getting ahead of myself) - Aurelia, with a nickname of Ray. Not sure if the nickname works as Aurelia is Au Ree Lia.

Kittenkatzen · 28/02/2013 19:18

If it makes you feel better when I would automatically assume Aurelia was pronounced Au-ray-lia anyway Grin. It's beautiful, good choice!

Kittenkatzen · 28/02/2013 19:22

Oh and I second kitty on dying son worry about the lack of symptoms - I've honestly had barely any of note. Sore boobs lasted about 2 weeks from 6ish - 8ish I think and only very occasional mild nausea. Maybe you're just lucky like me!

MrsBri · 28/02/2013 19:37

When, I didn't even have any symptoms for 6-7 weeks, so I really wouldn't worry. There's plenty of time for them to appear!

tedmundo · 28/02/2013 20:38

Despite rocking that brushed cotton look last night, I went to bed unravished. Had tightenenings all night til 4am again and then they stopped. This is getting very frustrating, but hope I don't kick off tonight as I need the sleep.

2 of the same sex is awesome. I only have a 20 month gap between the boys and they are such good friends. And I do sometimes dress them the same! Very cute.

I asked my 12 week scan sonographer about nub theory and she got REALLY sniffy. I think she thought I intended to dabble in some selective sex culling. I was only making converstaion! So I really have no clue at all that this lump is. From the size and shape if it, a football!

when - I had no symptoms with ds1. Please try to focus on smug feelings of wellness, rather than worry. You are just one of those lucky ones. And don't forget there is still plenty of time for them to kick in if you REALLY want them to! Carbs will be your friend!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 28/02/2013 20:52

I actually have had symptoms for over a week Blush, sorry I'm panicking over lack of consistent symptoms.

I really do panic over anything don't I.

ted I have a huge interest in all that is salty and meaty at the moment. I guess that's a good sign the sand happened with dd. Sorry about the lack of ravishing last night. You must be sick of being pregnant by now.

MrsBri · 28/02/2013 21:00

When, my boobs were my source of paranoia! DH was very reassuring about them :-)

Your salty food fetish is a good sign indeed though!

kittykatsforever · 28/02/2013 21:18

You know you've totally tempted fate now ted, little ted will no doubt make an appearance now Grin
There will be 20 months between my dd's aswell! They look so mart at party's and things when they are dressed the same don't they! I will try not to do it all the time Wink
Totally with you on the food fetish when, I was maccy ds all the way! Must be the salt!

LittleMissSnowShine · 01/03/2013 12:31

Hi everyone!

Oh wow i am finally starting to feel better this week woo hoo!!! Took DS to the park on my own yesterday for the first time since xmas and then went into work in the afternoon - I was wiped out last night but it was worth it to feel human again :) Just back from Tesco with DS in tow and while i do feel like I need a lie down lol, tiredness I can cope with....unending weeks of nausea, vomiting, fainting, burst blood vessels in eyes arghhhh.... not so much! 17 weeks today Grin Even had a vague food craving for a toasted tuna and cheese sarnie today - luckily Tesco cafe was able to help me out!

ted - sorry you have gone unravished and also that baby hasn't made an appearance for you yet Angry

when - I am freaked out that my boobs aren't sore at 17 weeks lol even tho they were only really sore til about 12 weeks with DS but this pg the soreness lasted right up til about 15 weeks and now they aren't as sore even tho I have a full on proper BUMP now i still keep thinking...why aren't they sore? What's wrong?? Confused Also, I would pronounce that name Au - RAY - lia so I think Ray works as a nick name :)

mrsbri - are you going to share your names with us??

hi kitty and kitten

Wow a bump already littlemiss how soon did you start showing with your ds?

I didn't have a bump at all till week 20 with dd

LittleMissSnowShine · 01/03/2013 20:15

when - i was like you with DS, relativelt bumpless til after 20 weeks but loss of stomach muscles plus sickness-related weight loss seems to have made bump pop this time! Prob only really obvious last 10 days or so, midwife predicting a big baby already lol eep!!

OP posts:
kittykatsforever · 02/03/2013 20:40

I got told today by dsis that my tummy looks as big today at 27 wks as it did when I had ddShock I think she just remembers it being smallish as I don't think it's that big but still!!! I didn't have a bump till about 25wks last time at all, no one guessed I was pregnant at 20wks on holl in a bikini!
Mw app next tue though where ill be measured and see the damage Confused

tedmundo · 03/03/2013 15:58

It is lovely to hear about how those bumps are sprouting out! Be bumpy and proud.

It is the comments from the Dss friends that leave me gawping .. "when will it be flat again?" (answer: probably never .. SOB), "what is in there?" (answer: the most awkward baby ever), and my absolute favourite "are you having a baby?" (answer: no, I just bloody love cake, me)

Spent morning in day assessment as movements are greatly reduced and i am suffering from hypertension. No issues found but they want me to go back in tomorrow for a scan. Ideally, will go into labour tonight to avoid more blinking time spent in the mat units of Southmead. But when has this baby ever done anything convenient for me?! Unlikely to start now!

I hope you are all doing well. Have you all had a fun weekend?

MrsBri · 03/03/2013 16:23

Hi, Littlemiss, we aren't sharing the names just yet...see how I feel nearer the time!

And that sounds stressful, ted. Fx baby starts to play the game and come later on. :-)

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 03/03/2013 16:26

Ooh ted really hope you go into labour soon. Very exciting. I had reduced movements with my dd, very scary, I think it was because I was getting constant (but painless) braxton hicks and I couldn't feel any kicking.

LittleMissSnowShine · 03/03/2013 20:32

Had some v light staining today Confused - haven't had any since 7 weeks (17 weeks now) and while I've prob been a bit more active than before since I'm not feeling quite so grim I wouldn't say I've been especially overdoing it. One poss factor is that after errr 11 weeks of total celibacy brought on by bleeding at 6 weeks followed by sickness of doom me and DH did some non-penetrative dtd last night. So I suppose being out, about & upright more or sexy time last night could have caused it but even tho its been v light, no cramping and not red blood it is freaking me out a bit, ESP after hearing good clear heartbeat last week. Big scan isn't til 29th but if this continues 2moro think I'll have to phone mw. Typical - just as I was finally starting to relax a bitHmm

Sorry for me me me post, hope you ladies are all doing well x

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 03/03/2013 20:49

Try not to worry littlemiss I spotted a few times with dd. Each time was post fooling around. I think the orgasum jiggles things around a bit and sometimes some old blood comes out.

If it was me I would still go to the GPs, but I really don't think you have anything to worry about.

tedmundo · 03/03/2013 21:56

I 100% agree with when. Any bleeding I had was always after a bit of romping!

LittleMissSnowShine · 04/03/2013 07:23

Lol when, ted - thanks for letting me know that! i suspected dtd might have been a factor but didnt realise how common it was - that never happened for me with DS. I have to say it is putting me off any more dtd til after baby arrives! Too stressful! No more bleeding overnight or this morning so just really hoping that will be the end of it...

Hang in there ted, finish line is in sight (but I know how frustrating the waiting is!)

OP posts:
kittykatsforever · 04/03/2013 07:55

Agree with when and ted little miss although this time I've had spotting atleast 5 times at random times never done anything at all to set it off, the only time it was and red though was after I slipped and fell in the snow, the hospital said that dtd would almost definatly set it off for me so to be prepared so we have avoided as although I know it's ok, I still don't like it, I too had nothing past the first tri with dd1 and then only once not including implantation

tedmundo · 04/03/2013 19:51

Hi ladies. Update for you ... Had a stretch and sweep today and feeling quite crampy now. Send you cervix expanding vibes in a south westerly direction please! Thanks :)

kittykatsforever · 04/03/2013 22:42
WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 05/03/2013 10:34

ted sounds painful.

Come on cervix - start dilating.
