New thread as the other one is nearly full Xmas Shock!

Our next baby should be pmgkt's, but I won't if any little cheeky monkey will sneak in before Thursday?

Wow more babies. I want one! I'm due tomorrow but really don't feel like much is happening. Lots of pressure down below and BH but I realise that doesn't mean anything. Who knows! I feel fine, just tired due to waking up for hours in the night and/or waking up stupidly early.
DP is back in London but under strict instructions to keep phone on and by ear at all times!

Orange that sounds like the start! Losing my mucus plug was the first sign ivy was on her way, she arrived about 12 hours later. Good luck x

bealos are you not decided yet? Are you going for popular or unpopular? Our choice is about 1000th for girls according to that site. I don't want her to be one of six in her class like the Claires and Rachels were.

hormonalhell, well the top names are top for a reason, cause they're nice names! I really like everything in the top tens for both sexes. I'd just have to talk the rest of the country into not using them..

Hi I joined this thread quite late and just wanted to reassure eagleray that I am also 41 so joining you in seniority here! The nhs have given me the same due date as you too (18th) - though two other dating scans have suggested 20th instead. Are you still pencilled in for induction at 40 + 3? Am already under pressure to agree to induction (due to age only) but am resisting it as long as I can...

Just downloaded a contraction timer app for my phone. Now I'm REALLY ready. (Braxton hicks were every 7 minutes last night but don't count Hmm)

Oh and while I'm spamming the thread, nursing and maternity bras are mega reduced in debenhams at the moment, in case anyone else is as badly prepared as me and doesn't have one yet.

Hey Willo I too older mum, in 41 in feb and due on 15th jan so only week to go. I should be getting told my induction date next week too as I've got slightly high blood pressure too.

I was having tightenings all day yest and using my app but nothing and today ive been having crampy pains all day instead so god only knows what's going on Hmm

Hi Willothewhip! Wow - a lot in common - and I'm having a girl too!

Induction is still pencilled in, but they are going to do their best to persuade her out before then (got first sweep tomorrow, all being well).

Planning a HB and everything set up and ready, but keeping a very open mind as to how things pan out. Policy regarding induction seems to vary between health authority, hospital and even who it is you are talking to Hmm

Hi Hormonal, nice to be able to swap notes. I have to say, I never considered myself as old before the NHS kindly labelled me so! Sounds like you might not need that induction, though. Will keep all crossed for you.

Eagleray let me know how you get on with the sweep. I have been offered one a week tomorrow, but I'm not sure of the benefits of having one pre 40 weeks. Totally agree with you about inconsistent policy. I've had different advice from different consultants in the same hospital...

Contractions bout 10/15 mins apart,lasting a minute,bloody killing...had huge bloody show,just so nakered,not enough time to sleep inbetween,dnt know how im going to last the nite!

Am thinking of going to a 'bumps and babes group' this morning - anyone got any experience of going to one of these without a baby? Just figured baby Woody is not far away now, plus I have lived here for 3+ years and don't really know any of the locals... but I'd be going alone - the thought is a little intimidating...

orange my waters came out in a massive gush and it was pretty unmistakable, but I think they can come as a trickle too. Let us know how you got on
