New thread as the other one is nearly full Xmas Shock!

Our next baby should be pmgkt's, but I won't if any little cheeky monkey will sneak in before Thursday?

OP posts:

oh dear apples i think that girl of yours is going to keep you all entertained for life. seriously though i hope you are both ok, and rest of the family is not too shaken up by the drama x

happyhow · 04/01/2013 17:23

How annoying Apples. Glad Ivy is ok though.

Had my sweep this morning (was no more dilated) and have spent 4hrs bouncing about and had a wee walk around. Only had a few small sharp twinges so I think I'll be leaving hospital without a baby...have told hubby we're going for a longish walk tonight when he comes in to visit though.

Good luck Pasha

preggofabulous · 04/01/2013 17:47

Wow. Went from 1-9cm in half an hour! And my son Aiden was born at 12.01 lunchtime. Not sure who was more shocked, me, midwife, or all the people waiting to be seen by a medical person. Ended with a third degree tear :(

Ah well, he's here and I'm happy (knackered) x

happyhow · 04/01/2013 17:51

That's amazing Preggo!! (Although not about the tear...) Congratulations!! Grin

Preggo - I am even shocked reading about the birth of Aiden!! how fast is that!?

Pascha - good luck!

Still noway near of writing up that birth story - but hopefully time will come soon enough! I feel like I had a fairly smooth ride compared to some of you though! so many rapid unexpected labours so far!!

Hormonalhell · 04/01/2013 19:06

Worrying time Apple but glad she ok now tho!

Theboutiquemummy, I'm similar to you it seems every day is physically not to mention mentally harder....the waiting and anticipation drives mead but at same time scared of what's to come Grin

mrsbugsywugsy · 04/01/2013 19:07

Congratulations to those who have had their babies! And good luck to everyone who is still waiting.

I have now moved over to the postnatal thread and have posted my birth story on there.

Lostbobbles · 04/01/2013 19:27

Gosh well done and congrats Preggo! (Wish you well in regards to tear)

Apples sorry to hear about drama with Ivy, must of been a worry but glad all is well.

Mama hope things are progressing well for you.

For those fed up and waiting sending eviction wishes, I got offered a sweep today said thanks but no thanks and managed to put it off for a weeks time if baby has not made an appearance by then.

theboutiquemummy · 04/01/2013 19:38

apples how is your little miss ? how are you doing ?

bealos · 04/01/2013 19:45

preggo CONGRATS! Another fast birth on the same due date as me! Must be something in the air... fingers crossed!

About to watch the last episode of Homeland. I thought I had watched it, but turns out I had only seen the penultimate episode, such is my baby brain.

My friend's have organised a blessingway for me tomorrow, which is really sweet. So am looking forward to that.

apples how's Ivy doing?

Pascha · 04/01/2013 20:03

Nothing doing here yet bar being uncomfortable sitting in certain positions. DH is currently cuddling a snotty feverish upset little boy to sleep so if anything does get going it will be a total PITA right now. I have chilli cooking and nachos to eat with it which will probably be in shifts if said little boy doesn't settle in the next hour or so.

Oh the joys of motherhood...

PS has anyone else seen the Fiat 500L Motherhood Rap?

lollipoppi · 04/01/2013 20:44

Pascha that link is hilarious!!! I've just laughed so much I actually just peed a little bit Blush

BuntyCollocks · 04/01/2013 21:18

Congrats, preggo

apples how worrying :( glad all ok

bealos · 04/01/2013 23:06

Received my order from From Here to Maternity today - exciting stuff! Bought 4x nursing bras... Emma Jane Seamless (really comfy and only £9.99!), Carriwell Seamless (nearly identical to the Emma Jane, but pricier at £17.95) and Bravado ++ Original (Priciest, but still not breaking the bank at £22.99 and 95% cotton).

All are bras that stretch to accommodate changing boob sizes. I've had really bad rib pain (just below my boobs) over the last few months and wearing the Carriwell today was so much more comfy than my previous bra.

Tempted to try the new Bravado Seamless too - but think should wait til baby comes!

MamaMary · 05/01/2013 00:34

Thanks all for your kind wishes. Leah was born safely after a 2hrs30mins labour. No time for stronger pain relief despite my requests, so managed to my amazement on gas and air. Luckily no stitches. A tiny little thing weighing 5lbs4. And very hungry :)

bealos · 05/01/2013 00:36

Congrats mamamary!! All these (fairly) fast labours. Well done for getting through it....

theboutiquemummy · 05/01/2013 06:26

Well done mamamary glad you had a good delivery and get lots of cuddles Smile

We are finally on our way waters broke at 2am this morning cue dash to the hospital and then sent home to labour to contractions 5 mins apart Blush

Tried to get some sleep but no can do so am currently wandering round trying to find a comfortable spot

Hormonalhell · 05/01/2013 07:58

Oooooh that's fab boutique mummy, hope things progress soon, let is know Smile

I gotta go back to the hosp today for BP check, am going to ask them to do a sweep. Do u think they will at 38+4?

happyhow · 05/01/2013 08:20

Exciting boutique! I'm V Envy as will probs have to go home from hospital today as nothing has kicked off...

Hormonal, from what I've heard from others, that's probs a bit early for them to be doing a sweep. If you don't ask, you don't get though!!!

Lostbobbles · 05/01/2013 08:21

Congrats Mama, lovely news and good to hear you are both well x

Good luck and best wishes boutique.

Hormonal, my consultant offered me a sweep yest so fingers crossed you will get one.

Bunny222 · 05/01/2013 09:10

All these new arrivals! Congrats girls.

Am really struggling with sleep now, and feeling v uncomfortable. Bump seems to ache, SPD is really sore in hips and sharpish pains down below.

Went to my yoga class yesterday and they said to focus on the date when ur 42wks as you will def have baby by then! Cant face going all the way to Feb!! :-(

Sorry, feel very sulky.

Pascha · 05/01/2013 09:18

Congrats Mama Sounds like things are moving for Boutique. I'm currently in the slightly uncomfortable phase, total quiet last night, DS didn't wake either so we all had a good nights sleep but since getting up this morning I am feeling more and more twingy and uncomfortable. Just having coffee before considering blowing up the pool. Will leave it empty for now though.
