marasme oh god I hope I get the last bits today or tomorrow at latest. Have done nothing so far today and need to get moving but I feel sick with anxiety. Suffer anxiety anyway and the thought that I might actually have this baby sooner rather than later has set it all off! :(

As for avoiding NYE - my friend's b'day is on the 1st of Jan, and she hates it :( obviously close to Xmas, but also a day when all are hungover and not up for a celebration :)

So funny about your growth scan, according to ours my daughter was below average in everything (between 30-40 percentile) and she was 52cm, 3.7kg and head circumference of 35cm! Not massive but definitely not below average!

I came back home from hospital this morning, really happy to be back home and now waiting for my chance to have a proper shower finally - the showers in the hospital were a bit disgusting and the water wasn't warm!!

Huge congrats Sanam and Birdies. Fantastic news. Birdies I had a feeling things were happening for you as missed your daily updates. All that worry about percentiles for nothing. Wonder how big our baby will be as we were told it was 5th percentile.

Today I have given house a good clean - don't think I was nesting just panicking that it needed a good clean! Then went out for a walk with DH. A combination of sciatica and Brixton hicks meant it was a very slow walk and am now vegged out on sofa totally fit for nothing! Induction tomorrow. Can't quite believe it.

Panic is over well mostly picked up breast pump with dcs this afternoon then as soon as dp got up went and got car seat! So baby can come won't budge now till end of jan

still feeling pretty anxious as it's not an ideal time dp still working and dcs still have week of hol left so am unable to really wind down which isn't helping matters!

allchik yes I seem to notice the cramps and tightenings more on an evening too...they just never get any more painful although they do feel very uncomfy.

Do you all go to bed every night wondering if tomorrow will bring your baby? I know I do...just waiting is the worst

Yes hormonal it's very odd waiting for a life changing event with no inkling of when it will happen! I thought it might happen on a full moon but no.....

I had a bit of a crap day yest, got hit (well squashed) by an idiot (far less unsavoury words were used at time) who decided not to wait two seconds and let me walk from the side of my car round to the curb but instead to just keep driving hitting me with his wing mirror and squishing me against my car. Luckily i was not hurt and managed to protect the bump and rush through and get feet and self out of the way. The prat didn't bother to stop either so as another car was blocking his way, i banged on his rear windscreen and then (don't know what came over me) went to his door, told him he'd hit me and he just he started swearing at me!! so i hit him with my umbrella. He drove off and i then proceeded to burst into tears. Got his car reg but because i wasn't badly hurt there is no point pursuing with the police.

So anyway little drama over, I have been having the same sharp pains and lots of BH in the eve as well and awful pelvic pain when rolling over or getting out of bed. (which is about 10 times a night, for the very disappointing 2 drip wee's) tut tut baby!

Hi, can I join too please? I was on at the beginning I think but then got completely distracted with work, sorting everything out and life in general! EDD is 3/1 and we don't know what we are having.

Congrats to everyone who has already had their babies, I can't wait am having lots of BH in afternoon and evening over the last couple of days but they seem to stop when I go to bed.

I'm currently on the gym ball again - hoping the midwife will tell me tomorrow that Baby is more engaged. With only a week til due date, I hope so! Also got another scan and appointment at the hospital tomorrow as have too much amniotic fluid so they're checking to see it hasn't gotten any worse in the last two weeks.

Hubby refused sex this morning... I was close to getting him to cave in but he has amazing willpower. Don't think I'll be using that technique to get Baby moving south...

Also, went see Life of Pi this afternoon - it's really good!

My guys refusing to help me with sex aswell. Selfish sods arent they... It was all fine and dandy 9 months ago :-D his 'excuse' is he doesnt want any snotty mucus plug on him or for the baby to get his head poked. I explained that he would need a massive willie that could bend round corners.

My wisdom tooth still really hurts....all the way up the side of my face ive got a little pharmacy on the coffee table infront of me to help ease it.

Midwife appointment on the 3rd so il be 40 weeks and desperate to meet this guy. Mum let us play with the pram today and i still love it thank god. But we still arent allowed it until babies here.

Have fallen off thread again, which given the perpetual disorganisation I find myself in concerning this baby shouldn't be a surprise.

I am so thrilled to read so many babies are here! birdies I adore the name Xanthe, it is one of our contenders.

I am 38 weeks today. Neither birth pool or home birth kit have turned up yet but I figure I have at least a week as DS was 39 weeks. I don't really care about nye this year as we are using this time to Get Shit Sorted in our house. So far this has involved buying most of ikea yesterday and then turning the house upside down rearranging. I think it's more chaotic then it was before

So anyone out tonight? Or in bed by 10 like I suspect I will be

Happy New Year for this evening everyone! We'll be off on a wild adventure to our next door neighbors' house, who live all of 4 metres away from our front door :-) Across some treacherous icy paths nonetheless.

I'm 37+4 now and whereas reading this thread used to be quite reassuring, now I'm seeing all these beautiful babies arriving, I'm starting to get quite nervous and can't quite fathom that we'll be joining you soon!
