Ah congratulations Sophia! Grin

Peaky1 · 08/11/2012 10:51

Congratulations Sophia!! It sounds like it all went swimmingly so I hope that's true Thanks

TheDetective · 08/11/2012 10:54

Bloody hell Sophia that was quick Grin

Congratulations!

FatimaLovesBread · 08/11/2012 11:01

Wow Sophie Congratulations!!!!

Detective Kick him in to touch. I was getting a bit moody with DH on Sunday because i'd done loads, but to be fair to him I was nesting and he worked 38 hours normal time last week and 26 hours overtime so he has an excuse really. I find it annoying when I ask for something to be done and I end up doing it myself. But your DP has no excuse really.
What hours does he work that he needs all this extra time in bed?
It's not fair on you if he's there and capable of doing jobs but you end up doing them Angry
Moan away on here though Smile

Well I've just had a bounce on my ball and the only things it's done is make me need a poo Blush

DebussyHead · 08/11/2012 11:06

Congrats Sophia, great great news!! What's your secret to speedy birth?! Amazing weight.

Off to sainsburys as have used all my maternity pads and knickers up with the gallons of water flooding out of me. It's still coming out in bursts 15 hrs after my waters first broke!!! Used up loads of towels too so will do a wash, go for a walk and pray contractions resume. Really don't want to be induced. My bump has dropped right down and feels smaller but maybe that's cos the fluid has gone.

Detective I'm feeling totally raging and grumpy too Angry. I feel for ya!

TheDetective · 08/11/2012 11:07

I'm going to strangle him soon!!!!

The sun is streaming through the living room window, directly on to everything - including me. I opened the patio doors (it is a through room living/dining room) and the breeze is lovely, as I'm sweating like crazy from the heat - my top is wet it is that bad!

DP is moaning that the door is open, and that he is freezing. He is sat there in just his dressing gown. Why not put a pair of fucking pants and socks on then? It is easier for him to warm up than me to cool down.

I'm seriously wondering if he is just in irritating mode today and the last few days. I know I'm more grumpy than normal, but I'm not taking it out on him. For once. But he is seriously testing any patience I have not much.

TheDetective · 08/11/2012 11:09

God that sounds so petty Blush

I just hate it when he uses his self righteous voice on me, and acts like I'm being all unreasonable. It winds me riiiiiiiiiiiiiight up!

Thechick · 08/11/2012 11:11

Congrats Sophia
I loved the gas and air. It was amazing.

MissMummy1 · 08/11/2012 11:22

Passme: "here!" (unfortunately...)

Congrats sophia. I bet he's totally gorgeous - can't wait to see a pic!

I was wide awake until about 5am last night wanting to throw up every 5 mins. I had a mini meltdown because I was so tired and then cried because I don't know how I'll cope with a newborn and not being able to sleep. Then had 2 hours and felt like a new person! Blush

37 weeks today. DH: "Does that mean we could have a baby today?" Me: "Possible. But unlikely..."

FC for more baby announcements today! Anytime after Monday baby MM1, okay?

MissMummy1 · 08/11/2012 11:23

Oh and detective I spent all last night snapping at dh. For no reason, even I knew I was being unreasonable. It doesn't do them any harm! SmileBlush

BarmeeMarmee · 08/11/2012 11:28

Congratulations Sophia! Another November baby enters the world.

Detective I think you're very restrained-I'd have strangled him by now!

TheDetective · 08/11/2012 11:28

He is currently cleaning. I may forgive him. If he does it properly. But given I've already done quite a bit of it... there is no excuse Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 08/11/2012 11:39

Well.... I though I was 6 mins apart around 5:45 and woke DH up to call that babysitter and while we were waiting they just ramped up quickly so on the drive to the hosp I was a bit worried we wouldn't make it Confused!! I almost took the stairs two at a time mid contraction I was so panicked! Grin. I asked for pethidene but unfortunately was fully dilated.

Top tip, no pushing, just let my body stretch on it's own. Much less stressful. Just a second degree tear.

I will catch up with the rest f the thread now.

Xx

kirrinIsland · 08/11/2012 11:46

Congratulations Sophia Grin lovely name and a lovely weight too.

wellies and Debussy sounds like you'll be next - good luck :)

Welcome Gina :)

I'm back in the fecked off club - mild period pains and contractions all last night and now back to nothing again - grrrr.

Also, definitely suffering from toddler guilt. I don't think DD has ever watched so much cbeebies, but I just cannot keep going some days. I try to get out at least once in the day with her - today we're going to the park - but that will just mean I'm even more tired and sore later!
DP has an appointment in London today so I was thinking hoping that that might tempt fate and bring on labour but no signs yet! Silly man left with out his phone as well, luckily he went to work first so I was able to get hold of him to come and retrieve it. Tempting fate is fine, but that might have been a step too far!

FatimaLovesBread · 08/11/2012 11:46

Ooog Nigel Harman is on This Morning! I luffs him Grin[phwoar]

Iheartpasties · 08/11/2012 11:49

sophia horay for you, and muchos congrats!! Fab news. I had been reading the thread, and then had to go and put DD down, and by the time I got back (just now) to check the thread again, you'd had your baby, quick work. Well done you.

detective I think what pisses me off the most with my dh is he acts like he is doing me a favour if he does some houseowrk, when lets face it, it's for the whole family unit not just a special something for me! (ok I'm off the soap box now!!)

MM1 Stressing in the middle of the night when you cant sleep is actually one hundred times worse than dealing with a little new born :) they give you smiles and gurgles :)

applepieinthesky · 08/11/2012 11:49

Morning all. I've only been up an hour Blush Might as well make the most of it though I suppose. But I do wonder if these lay ins will make it harder to cope with sleepless nights?

Congrats sophia Smile What a speedy delivery. I want one of those please!

No plans for today really. There is a massive new Waitrose and John Lewis opening in the next town to us today. I'm tempted to go and have a look but it will be absolutely packed so I'm not sure it's a good idea. Plus we need to watch the pennies which DP doesn't seem to understand. He is round the local shop every two minutes buying crap we don't need Angry I'm going to be putting my foot down now.

Passmethecrisps · 08/11/2012 11:50

Ha! Completely psychic detective! I have skillz

TheDetective · 08/11/2012 11:57

Just found out I can claim 50% of the cost of the reflexology from my health cash plan. Yippeee! I might have 2 sessions now! Well, hopefully not, as i'll have a baby before then Hmm.

HAHAHA! Revenge is sweet. DP just started yelling after the hoover attacked him. Good hoover, clever hoover Grin. Feel slightly bad now, but not that bad.

Pasties I know that feeling... you live here too, you create as much more mess and dirt as everyone else, so don't act like cleaning is my domain!

Passmethecrisps · 08/11/2012 11:59

Crikey blimey o'reilly! I have a blether on the phone to my mum and sophia sneezes out her baby!

Hoorah, hoorah sophia! Sounds like a fab birth.

My mum is a bit overwrought this morning. She isn't a massively emotional person so her overwrought is fairly placid really. The fact she called me is in itself massively unusual.

My sister is being induced right now and I think my mum is wondering why we seem to be complicated. I don't think we are particularly complicated, it's just massively different to her experiences 30 odd years ago. The midwives told her I was going to be a tiny baby and I was 7Ib 4. My brother was 5Ib 12 and noone mentioned smallness to her.

Anyhoo. Off for a bath then hitting Aldi. Sadly our Waitrose isn't build yet because that sounds much more fun!

MissMummy1 · 08/11/2012 12:07

Yay. After weeks of moaning dh has now cleared all the leaves and crap out of the carport and jetwashed the big oily stain left by the landrover. I have a nice shiny driveway to park on now! Just need him to take the hint and clean my car as well...

applepieinthesky · 08/11/2012 12:11

I know exactly how you feel detective and pasties.

DP said it would be great to have a dishwasher because then we wouldn't have to have plates all over the kitchen. But you should have seen it just now. He takes plates out there (when I nag him not to leave them in the living room) and can't be arsed to put the food in the bin so just leaves the dirty plates sitting there. Then when I ask him to put the food in the bin and the plate in the dishwasher I'm having a go at him and he's doing me some massive favour by doing it. Oh and then I opened the dishwasher to find half of the stuff was dirty and half clean. Wtf? He is seriously pissing me off today. Rant over.

TheDetective · 08/11/2012 12:14

Apple That is one of my bug bears - we have no room for a dishwasher, but when plates are taken to the kitchen, both DP and DS just chuck them on the sides. And if there are wraappers, leftovers, etc on the plates, they just get left!

Scrape them off FFS! I feel like a broken record!

MEN!

Iheartpasties · 08/11/2012 12:15

yes - like you are asking a big favour, umm no!!! lets just have a mutual agreement that we dont want to live in a massive shit tip!!!!

MissMummy1 · 08/11/2012 12:18

Dh has no idea how to load the dishwasher. If he takes plates through and leaves them in the general area of the dishwasher it's a miracle!
