Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
CheerfulYank · 03/10/2012 07:55

I think I've got it Dizzi.

Uuuuggghhh...I never felt this bad with DS, maybe this one is girl.

Going back to bed, see you all later. :)

wilderumpus · 03/10/2012 08:11

good luck today weather x

BeauticianNotMagician · 03/10/2012 08:25

CheerfulYank I was thinking the same just the other way around.Wonder if this is a pink one as i had horrible all day sickness with both the boys.I drank gallons of ginger beer.

RTchoke · 03/10/2012 08:38

Urgh, urgh, urgh to commuting with morning sickness. And urgh to waking in the night with it too. And even more urgh to the fear of having to do a presentation later on, in front of 60 people, while battling the fear they'll all have to see my breakfast on it's way back up.

I am having a private scan tomorrow (no good excuse, I'm just impatient and paranoid). I should be 7+3. do you always see a heartbeat at this stage?

Good luck today Weather.

wilderumpus · 03/10/2012 09:09

RT you might not see a HB if your dates are out and you could be a week behind but if you are 7 weeks then yes definitely should be a HB :) Exciting, good luck!

I feel soooooo sorry for you guys with bad ms and going to work, I really don't know how you do it! all power to you. I feel seasick at worst and am lucky enough to be at home and I STILL manage to feel sorry for myself! Good luck for your presentation RT Thanks

EllieBuffalo · 03/10/2012 10:35

weather Good luck today

I've always been an impatient person but I'm currently obsessed with counting weeks on the calendar. I had my booking in appt yesterday (although DH insists on just calling it a midwife appt as that is apparently more exciting). It feels a little more real now as we told my parents last night who are the first to know. Pleased to be officially in the system but now obsessing about when the scan letter will come then I guess I'll be counting down until the scan etc. It's nice ticking off little milestones but also feels like it's making the time drag even more Smile

RT I share your pain MS and Trains don't mix well as I am finding out too. Sad
Woke up feeling awful got no sympathy from DH he was actually really pleased and told me so, because it means the pregnancy is doing well. Hmm
He even text me about it after he got into work to tell me that it was good preparation for being woke up by the baby during the night! Angry
Probably some truth in it but I don't need to hear it at 5:30am with my head down the loo...

LittleBairn · 03/10/2012 10:39

Oh and I've promised the kids yeapsterday we could go to soft play today. [ self abuse emotcon]

Morning all.

Weather hope things went ok earlier for you.

Beaut and Cheerful I've been wondering about sex of baby related to how ms is for me too. Well more a specific part of ms. I went off fizzy drinks so badly with DCs 1and 2 and they are girls. Was fine with pop with DC3 who is a boy. But I'm back to not being able to even bear the sight of it in the fridge this time. So girl maybe again? Will be fun to see if we're right.

LittleB you are indeed torturing yourself. I'm supposed to take mine for their swimming lessons today and not sure if I can face that. Soft play though? Good luck!!

I still feel awful. Had 3 wonderful hours of being wide awake last night between midnight and 3am. Just had a nap whilst baby was but don't feel that much better. Oh and been to GP first thing as was treated for chest infection a few weeks ago and things aren't any different. Got some new stronger antibiotics that he tells me are fine in early pregnancy but could make DC3 have some loose stools. Oh to have some of them Wink.

LittleB sooo know what you mean re the sympathy thing my DH also says he is happy when he hears how sick I feel .. I know he means well but COME ON!!! a little sympathy would be nice!!!

I started retching on the way to work this morning in the street (yuck) ... I remember with DD1 smelling the smell of fox one morning and promptly throwing up there and then - oh joy - see that one happening again soon

BeauticianNotMagician · 03/10/2012 11:39

I have just eaten a crusty cheese salad cob,a pack of quavers and some lovely lil shortbread cookies from the bakers and its not even 12 yet.Its going to be very bad for my waistline working near a bakery.I also popped over to the co op and saw they had some mars caramel i will be trying one of those after work.Such a sweet tooth right now.

Terracotta Will you be finding out the sex of baby.I would like to wait as i think it will be nicer for DP and also after going through the 9 months i like a surprise at the end.I do really want to know this time though.

Morning all - bad news from here sadly. Had the scan this morning and they're 99% certain that it's stopped developing. I say "it" - actually they think that it may originally have been twins or triplets as they could see at least 2 and possibly 3 sacs. In any case, only one ever started to develop properly, and that measured 6 weeks with no heartbeat this morning so the 1% margin of error is pretty tiny given that I'm completely certain of my dates.

The good news is that there are no indications of any underlying problems. Feeling optimistic for TTC over Christmas :)

Sadly therefore this is me signing off from this thread. I'll be thinking about you all and sending good luck vibes to all the rest of you for successful pregnancies.

beaver33 · 03/10/2012 11:51

I'm so sorry to hear that, Weather. Much love from this end, and here's hoping we hear from you again in the future.

Seems particularly poignant that you might have been carrying three originally. Take care xxx

DizziDoll · 03/10/2012 11:55

Oh weather, how aweful. I hope you have someone with you.

I introduced myself briefly a while back and then vanished, morning sickness making it impossible for me to keep up. It was so bad I had a private scan and found out I'm expecting twins. As a mum to three little boys I was rather... shocked. I could tell instantly that the sonographer started the scan and said "That had better not be twins!" Poor woman. I don't know if I'll be able to keep up with all the chat but I'll give it a try. I'm due on 8th May and am 9+0.

BeauticianNotMagician · 03/10/2012 12:02

Weather Oh dear so so sorry to hear that.Good news that you dont have any underlying problems though.Fx for a super sticky bean (or two) for you over christmas.Rest up and take care.

TerracottaPie · 03/10/2012 13:44

Beaut I think this time I'd like a surprise. Found out with all the others and as this is the last time I'm doing this I'd like to do it differently. Saying that though, it was very obvious that DC3 was a boy. Before the sonographer even started looking Grin. You a bit on the fence on that it sounds like? It is nice to be able to plan but surprises are nice too.

Congratulations Bathilda!! And that should mean I'm off the hook. We can't have any more 8th May EDD that turn a DC4 into a DC4 & 5 Grin (my morning sickness is much worse than I've ever had before). Really hope it starts to ease off for you soon. Funny how far away 3 weeks can feel.
