Good luck babybrain!

Can I join the facebook group please? I don't know who to message Blush

I'm another one that needs to wee all the damned time - ironically the only time I've had an accident leaked a bit was when I sat down straight after coming from having a wee Hmm so I think baby is just jabbing my bladder :(

Another one here getting impatient and grumbly at being uncomfy hot and tired.
The upside is I only have 3 half days left at work Grin

Having regular LFT bloods done, the itching is driving me nuts!

Start NCT classes tonight, and already wondering why on earth would you have a class for pregnant women that runs until 10 at nightHmm

Hope everything's ok babybrain

MakeTeaNotWar · 05/09/2012 16:14

KPT I had to cancel mine as they moved the time to run 8pm-10pm, which I and DH both found thoroughly ludicrous Hmm There's absolutely no way I'd manage that whilst working, not without knackering myself on the run up to the birth anyway, which we didn't feel was wise!

Thunderbolt it won't let me view it, I think because it's private :o I'll PM you my profile link and maybe you can friend and invite me? Blush

KPT083 · 05/09/2012 17:10

thunder & fluffy
I'm starting to regret booking them, we had our local ones already.

The main reason for us booking them is to meet people in the same area and maybe similar dates to us, I'm not sure I'm going to feel that social today. Need a rocket up my bottom I suppose Wink

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 05/09/2012 17:28

I know the feeling - I regret missing the social side of them, but I'm not sure I'd be that social anyway :o Blush

cakes82 · 05/09/2012 18:07

Fluff If you haven't already been added to facebook group, I think I managed to add you

MissPollysTrolleyed · 05/09/2012 19:19

How exciting Babybrain. Hope it's all going well and look forward to hearing your birth story very soon!

Littleplasticpeople · 05/09/2012 22:07

Ooh good luck babybrain how exciting! We're your other dcs early?

elvislives2012 · 05/09/2012 22:19

Good luck babybrain!! How exciting!
Had first NCT today. Really useful and a nice crowd. Didn't find pressure to feed or give birth at home. DH found it useful to meet other men who were worrying about the same thing and for once hd felt included in this process.
Fingers crossed!!

Bear1984 · 05/09/2012 22:22

Good luck babybrain! How exciting!!

KPT yup me! Though today there was a nice cool breeze coming through so I wasn't too bad today.

Impressed with myself today though, I made lasagne from scratch rather than using jars and have a cake in the oven at the moment for DP to take to work tomorrow as a thank you to his workmates for giving him the time off for when I was in hospital last week. Although I will be cutting up that cake into pieces and keeping some for myself Grin

Since the weekend I've really broken out on my face. And I mean really badly. I'm wondering if it's some kind of reaction to the steroid injections I had when I was in hospital. I counted at least 20 whiteheads and it's making me feel really self conscious. My nose is peeling as well like as if I've been sunburnt, but I've not been out in the sun Hmm But I have a scan tomorrow and an appointment with a consultant so going to mention it then to see what they think as it's not normal whatever it is. I'm also interested to see what baby is up to since I keep having worrying moments lol.

babybrain3 · 06/09/2012 06:42

Blue baby born last night 11.45 5lb 11. Pic on the fb page..

KPT083 · 06/09/2012 07:12

Congratulations to babybrain and familyGrin

Nct wasn't as bad as I was worried about, some lovely people there, even if half of us were yawning our heads off by the end of the session...... Next one Monday (b feeding).

Hope every one has a good day. Anyone taking raspberry leaf tea?

WeeSooty · 06/09/2012 07:37

Congratulations babybrain Wow! The first October baby!! Thanks

thumb I?m also pretty sensitive around the belly button, mine still hasn?t popped but its so close it totally freaks me out!! I find my DH sometimes just doesn?t realise how hard he touches my bump and is confused when I pull away. I want him involved but its still my tummy!

bear my husband also works shifts, he?s just about to start onto lates which is 4pm ? 2am today and I hate it! I know its his job and there is a not a lot he can do about it but I have to stop myself clinging onto him to stop him leaving!!

I am shattered at the moment, really not sleeping well and work has got very stressful, feel like just not going in even though I have a week left!

I?ve got a midwife appointment today, going to hope she thinks my birth plan is ok. It basically has 3 things on it! As natural as possible, no junior doctors and no forceps? Will see what she says!

I?ve been thinking of raspberry tea but a bit scared to take it!

MissPollysTrolleyed · 06/09/2012 07:56

Congratulations Babybrain. That's wonderful news. All the best to you and your family.

WeeSooty, there's no need to be worried about raspberry leaf tea. I was also nervous of this so researched and it doesn't induce early labour but tones the uterus and can therefore make the second stage of labour go more quickly. I also discovered that the teabags I bought in Holland & Barrett are pretty useless and you need to buy the loose leaf variety which they sell in Neal's Yard. I'm off to Neal's Yard today to stock up.

KPT, I'm down to three days left at work too - yippee!

Thumbwitch · 06/09/2012 08:16

Congratulations Babybrain! ThanksWineThanksWineThanksWineThanksWineThanksWineThanksWineThanksWineThanksWineThanksWineThanks

I'm starting the raspberry leaf tea and tablets now; I bought them but haven't started taking them yet but will today. I took it for the last 3w last time, at around 2-3x dose, to try and bring on labour (didn't work) - still needed inducing but I think it did a very good job of uterine toning and helped squeeze DS out (half hour stage 2) and everything go back to normal quickly. It generally doesn't bring labour on but they do recommend not starting it before 34w just in case.

I have been utterly shattered today - so grateful that DS was with MIL overnight and all day - gave me a good chance to rest and do bugger all - kept dozing off though! BP was down this morning - 127/72 - so that's better, at least it goes down overnight.

GTT no.3 tomorrow

newtonupontheheath · 06/09/2012 08:20

Babybrain 's ds is so adorable! An actual baby...

Just waiting for the mw to come round. This visit sets me up for my home birth... I've done my birth plan (anybody else?!) and this weekend I will be getting some plastic sheets and digging out some old towels Grin then I'm all set!

I've got raspberry leaf tea and tablets but not taking any or tempting fate in anyway until we are back from this wedding. As much as I'll be prepared, I don't really fancy having baby daaaaawn south. But if I do, I expect a visit from you Brighton-ites Grin

3 more days of work here too!!

Sorry for not name checking, am on phone and eating breakfast at the same time Blush

Thanks cakes!! :)

cakes82 · 06/09/2012 09:20

Hope this makes sense.
When you have the October FB page open, there is a little box on the right of the screen that says add people to group, just put little's real name in there and as long as she hasn't got a really popular name it should find her for you. Thats how it worked for Fluffy anyway Smile

I also have RLtea but haven't been brave enough to have any yet. I know it doesn't bring on labour but this is DC1 for me and have been told that a couple of pre existing medical things can make you have a prem baby but then again you might have been anyway Hmm I'm 36wks tomorrow but its my 30th birthday a fortnight today and we're hoping to have a night away.
