Oliveoil has sprung a BIG leak!

Baby Alice Rose arrived on Friday 27 August at 8.04am weighing in at 9lb 5.

Fast and furious delivery - waters broke at midnight, in hospital for 3am, fully dilated at 6am and born 2 hours later.

However, I don't do things straightforward and my contractions stopped and I had to have a vontouse (sp?) and epistiotomy (sp???), due to my previous section they didn't want me to labour too long.

All this on only gas and air, much to my disgust as my wails for a 'f**king epidural' could be heard bouncing off walls!

Congratulations and well done for just keeping it in August.
I had a ventouse and episiotomy too but with a f**king epidural and only a 7.5 lb baby so I feel for you!

woodpops · 01/09/2004 15:50

Congratulations. A lovely name as well. We were going to have Rose for dd middle name as well but seeing as our surname is wood and dh is a manager for a joinery company we thought we'd better give that one a miss. We went with Maisie but I still prefer Rose!!!!!

Congratulations.

What a birth following a section - wauv! You must be terribly proud of yourself (I would be if I could get through w/o epidural)
