Hello everybody,

Sebastian Edward was born last night, 7.34 pm, weighing 10 lb 4 1/2 !!!

First impressions are that he is FINE, thank God. Both dh and I think that he looks as if he might have achondroplasia, which would be fantastic news. He's been feeding beautifully already, and he can cry very well, so I'm happy to say that his lungs are working well at the moment.

I'm not completely relaxed yet because our biggest fear, Jeune syndrome, can't be excluded yet - symptoms of this condition can sometimes start when the child is already weeks, months or even years old. But atm things are looking very, very good and we are relieved and happy.

Thank you all so much again for thinking of me and for giving me all your support through this difficult pregnancy - it's been invaluable, it really has.

Love you all! XXXX

Emkana, what fabulous, fabulous news!! Congratulations to you all and I hope Sebastian Edward (love the names!) has settled down with his wonderful family. No doubt he's even larger by now!

I'm just back in the UK after weeks of no internet access in Nigeria. You and your bump were often on my mind and I was v frustrated at being unable to find out the latest news so I'm really pleased to see that all's ended happily. Congratultions again!
