Wills gave birth to a beautiful little girl, Charlotte Louise, at 23:55 yesterday.

Baby weighted 6lb 1oz. Mum weighed a bit more although I'm too much of a gentleman to disclose the actual amount.

Both are doing fine, and no doubt Wills will be on to provide the full details later.

Doting Dad.

That's fantastic, Wills, Hope the happiness continues for many a moon

Grommit · 18/08/2003 15:34

Congratulations Wills - sounds like you had a bit of a traumatic time - glad it all turned out OK!

mears · 18/08/2003 17:34

My goodness Wills - what an ordeal for you. Glad to hear you are feeling happy at the arrival of Lottie (lovely name) and are not too traumatised. Unfortunately abruption is a risk associated with high blood pressure, so your body knew it was time to get the babe out. Plenty of excuse for rest now. Expect the tears soon though - bound to catch up with you in the next couple of days. Take care, mears

princesspeahead · 18/08/2003 18:23

wow wills, what bad luck, but it also seems that it all happened like it should, IYKWIM. Delighted you feel so over the moon - I was a bit like that with ds (number 2) - felt fantastic almost immediately. And didn't really hit the earth with too bad a bump, as you say, everything is so much less scary the second time around. Look after yourself, lots of rest, and enjoy the lovely wills girls!

Bugsy2 · 18/08/2003 19:45

Many congratulations Wills. Delighted to hear that dd2 arrived safely despite your own complications. Hope that the stiches ease soon.
Best wishes to the four of you.

Huge congratulations to you Wills and welcome to little Charlotte. I also know that cloud 9 feeling, its heaven!

Katherine · 19/08/2003 12:16

Blimey WIlls wouldn't wish that on anyone. But you sound very positive about it all. Just so glad you are both OK. At least you've still got the excuse to scoff the chocolate etc. I think apricots are meant to be good for iron too. Well done and big hugs to both of you. Hope to be joining you soon......
