Bayleaf's beautiful, long awaited baby...

Bayleaf's beautiful, long awaited baby...has arrived - and is small (5lbs 10) but gorgeous, labour ( after induction 10 days early as she had a 2 vessel umbilical cord and wasn't fattening during the last weeks)was short and straight forward - but a nightmare emotionally as I was completely on my own for 95% of it. A classic over-stretched midwives scenario - just nobody available - constantly telling me they'd assess me soon, ( when I hobbled into the coridor to acost someone...) giving the impression that I was only in the early stages right till the end - so I felt I must be coping very badly with the pain but of course I wasn't it was just a lots closer to the end than I believed, not phoning dh till the last minute so he missed the birth entirely - I could go on!
But none of it really matters now as after 8 lots of ivf/icsi she is here and well and I have nothing important that I have ever wanted missing from my life.
Thanks to everyone who supported me here along the way....

Congratulations Bayleaf! So glad you have your little one, esp after all the IVF etc. My DS1 was a similar size and the litle ones are SO cute aren't they? And I think there's a lot more small baby clothes around now than there was when he was born almost 6 years ago (good old Vertbaudet!).

It's a shame your DH missed it, but I have a massive grin over my face for you all. XX
