Fundraising In loving memory of our son James

Our son James was born on 28 Apr 2007, he sadly passed away on 11 Sep 2007, in our arms at Robin House ( Children's Hospice).
James was born with a rare genetic condition called Epidermolysis Bullosa, he had the most severe form of EB and was fatal in infancy.
James skin was as fragile as butterfly wings, his skin broke at even the slightest touch, causing painful open blisters and wounds, the blistering was not limited to his skin, but also affected his inner body linings, such as his mouth and oesophagus. James was a very brave wee boy, he was a son we have always been proud of and it has been a privilege to be his parents. In loving memory of our son James Terrence Lynch ( Jim Jim ), we are going to do the Great Scottish Walk on 11 May 2008 in Glasgow, please support us by visiting our fundraising website www.justgiving.com/jim_jim, thank you very much!

Thanks ladies, hi, training is going well, I think I can walk 12 miles ! I think Jim Jim has made me a better and stronger person, I have also done a few speeches at my Aerobics, many people like you ladies here are very kind. I just want to do something for James, and for children living with EB but then again, I cannot do it on my own, your help means a lot of us and I thank you.

Vio we went to donate but couldn't make the page work - I'll go back later and try again. Your story is deeply moving. Dh and I blown away by your spirit in doing this walk. Jim Jim is lucky to have such an inspiring mama.

Thanks PhD, honestly, thanks so much for your kindness. I cannot explain my love for James, I love him very very much, he's a special boy. I have to admit that sometimes when I think of him and his short life, he had a lot to put up with as a baby, and I would then become tearful,no words can convey the sadness his condition and his death has brought me, but then again, without James, I would never discover the real me.

You keep going Vio, you are doing great, I hope people keep giving and bring you closer to your goal. x
