My lovely husband died today. He was 31.

My sweet, kind, wonderful husband died this morning. He was on his way to meet me and our children and was involved in a car accident. He was 31 and we have 2 DC aged 5 and 2. I am broken and lost and don't know where we go from here. He was my best friend in the whole world, my rock, my voice of reason, and the best dad I could have wished for for our children. Life is so cruel.

I have been on a few of your previous threads and I’m devastated to read this tonight. Thinking of you and your children tonight @gillybean89 and sending the biggest hugs and huge amount of love. I’m glad your mum is staying.

hope too that it wasn’t your DHs colleagues who attended him today but if so; that they too have support.

Hi Gilly, I'm so sorry you're in this awful situation.

My husband died age 33, just a few weeks ago. We have children, one a similar age to yours.

I joined the group WAY, that I've seen suggested on this thread and there's also a Facebook support group you can only join if you're a member of WAY. There's also a sub group called WAVY (windowed and very young) for under 35s for when you're ready.

I'd also be happy to talk to you as someone who's still in the early days but just a little bit further along, if you'd find that helpful

I'm so very sorry for your loss.

I don't know... I have no idea how my mum; who was 6 months pregnant with me and had my brother who was 3, carried on when my dad had a massive heart attack aged 32 and died instantly ...this is back in the mid 60s.
The resilience of the human form will never cease to amaze me.

I am so sorry to hear this, your and your poor kids and family. Your husband sounded like a wonderful man. If you would like to talk about him, tell us how you meet or any funny little stories about him I'm sure we would all love to hear about him. If not just know that he loved you all and you will get through this, no matter how unlikely it seems.
