We are broken.
I'm posting because I'm hoping to hear from someone who has been through something similar who can tell me something comforting.
Our baby was ill with a fever and a viral infection but her heart was unable to cope.
She was our only child.

I'm so sorry for your loss. So shocking and heartbreaking to lose a child.

I have no words that can help lessen the pain: I wish there were.

This link may be worth sharing with people who want to help support you. It is written by a brave lady who's 9mo daughter died of SiDS.

Once again. Sincere condolences - keep breathing. That is all you can do at this time.

Thinking of you & your dh, so sorry this has happened. I have no other words that seem suitable for such tragedy. Sad

I am so sorry for your loss. Do you have support, people around you can talk to and can help?

CaulkheadUpNorth · 05/12/2014 12:10

Just occurred to me, seeing your name on here, was your daughter called Anais, and the other dates when she was born. Would hate for you to be hurting due to us calling you Anais.

She is called Sophie.
Thank you for messages. Too hard to talk or type now. Thanks to those who shared theirs or friends' experiences and links. It helps.

PacificDogwood · 05/12/2014 12:30

Sophie is such a lovely, classical name - may she be at peace and not in pain now.

You are under no obligation to post at all - I agree with everybody who has been saying just keep breathing, eat when you feel able to and sleep when it is possible.
Thanks

anais I am so utterly sorry for you and your family, the pain you are feeling is soul destroying. I lost my 3 year old dd in April, she caught a viral infection, bacterial pneumonia super imposed on top of it, 8 hours after being admitted to hospital she succumbed to sepsis and went into cardiac arrest. I do have a thread on here titled my beautiful daughter has gone. There is a thread on here for parents who have lost children, the ladies there really have helped me through some very dark days. There is not a minute were I don't think of my dd, but amongst the tears there are now smiles. Please look after yourself and accept any help being offered. Xx
