my husband passed away of a massive heart attack (20th sep 2005)it is true that if a doctor had have been holding his hand he wouldnt have survived,my husband had been ill for 20yrs he knew he was on borrowed time but never really told me even though i did know the same as him he never kept anything from me,your friend will be going through so much pain now,but she will get to the stage where "it is so unbelivable it is unbelivable"iykwim you carry on as though he will be back!!! i know i join him one day send her love

it would be very mean minded of the Head not to let you go.

When my Mum died v suddenly, my colleague (and best friend) at school was allowed to take a full day (funeral was 200 miles away).

throckenholt · 12/01/2006 13:41

my dad also died of a massive heart attack (he was cooking his toast, we were still in bed).

One thing I have always been grateful for was it was quick and he could not have suffered for long.

Have you seen Jayzmummy's thread - similar situation - maybe you can help each other.

So sorry to read this. It's just awful.

BradfordMum · 06/02/2006 19:32

I think I know who died. I don't really want to say too much, but I was very sad to hear about M.
I only met him twice, I was his nephews Childminder. Thinking of you all.
