Oh YG, I'm sorry

I'm sure you're concerned with your friend and her family right now, but do remember your own need to mourn too.

so sorry YG.

LadySherlockofLGJ · 10/01/2006 14:41

YG

I hope you your head, has enough sense to see that you will be no use in school on the day of the funeral.

Quite frankly I am shocked that you have been left waiting for an answer.

Could you offer to pay for your own supply teacher ??

misdee · 10/01/2006 14:43

YG tell them you ARE taking the day off, unpaid if need be. me and mieow both took a day off work to go to our dads friends funeral as dad was away at the time. again, becuase he wasnt family we were not entitled to compassionate leave, so just said we'd take it unpaid or as holiday.

littlemissbossy · 10/01/2006 16:03

sorry to hear about this Yorkiegirl, how is your friend doing? x

cathyspam · 10/01/2006 16:14

this is so awful - bad enough when someone is sick and dies but such a sudden shock must be very difficult to take in. my DH's dad died suddenly in his 40's from a heart attack and he was also unaware of any problems. scares the s**t out of me. my mum also died aged 43 from cancer - i think we should get those wills sorted out. sending hugs to yorkiegirl and friend

saadia · 10/01/2006 16:36

This is so sad, but these cases make me realise that no-one knows what is round the corner. It's very scary. Hope your friend will find peace, she must be in complete and utter shock right now.

Aero · 10/01/2006 17:18

spacecadet · 10/01/2006 17:22

That is so sad, YG - what a dreadful shock.

A subject I know only too well. My darling son died 11 years ago, he was never ill, he walked into our garden and collapsed and died instantly, no medical explanation ever found, he was 14. Now as some of you know we have our precious trio, they are almost 8 and I am dreading them getting to their teenage years, terrified that it could ever happen again. They have had some screening, all looks fine, but then Matthew was never ill, it scares me.I am so sorry to hear about your friend, the shock is so awful, just reading this has brought back my own flashbacks of that awful day. Lots of love xxx

going4potty · 10/01/2006 21:08

YG, just adding my condolences to both you and your friends, its so sad for everyone. Hope you get the day of.

galaxy · 10/01/2006 21:13
