my son was stillborn on 22nd february 2011 at 41 weeks plus 1, he weighed 7 pounds. I am deeply sad at the lost of my baby after trying for over 5 years. He was a healthy active baby, who loves music and i had a normal pregnancy with no complications. His postmortem results concluded that there was meconium present in his lungs causing his demise, he got distress and i dont know why? my world has shattered and me and my husband are very distress. Is there anyone who would like to share their story. I am forever grateful. thank u xx

Im so sorry, I to gave brith at 36 weeks to a stillborn girl we called Ophelia. This was nearly six weeks. We have not received the post mortem back yet, so have nothing to say what happened. Theres a thread in this part of the forum where mothers like us hang out and talk about anything, we are not judged because we have all been through the loss of a child whether it be during pregnancy or later in the childs life. We had been trying to get pregnant for over a year, during this time I found out I had fibroids. I was monitored a little bit more during the pregnancy due to this but this didnt save my baby. I am desperate to get pregnant again, and hope to try soon.

I'm so sorry for your loss!!! I can truly sympathise with you!! I lost my son a month ago now, he was 2 years old, so slightly different to you, but still the same hurt!! To loose a child at any age is the worst thing in the world!!!thinking of you at this really sad time!!

I feel for you. DS died on Christmas Eve, having only lived for around an hour. We had some warning though, as all was not well at the 20wk scan. As in someone elses's thread, we knew it was v.likely he was going to die, but chose to continue the pregnancy (lots of reasons I won't go into here). It took us a while to conceive. We already have a little girl, who has been devastated by the loss of her little brother.

Speaking to some of the local SANDS people has helped a bit. there is a National arboretum in Staffordshire and they have a SANDS area where we can remember our children. If you feel up to it, they are having a SANDS open day on Saturday 18th and a memorial service.

I wish I could physically be there for you both. I will be thinking of you.
