doctor appt friday for DS (sicky, off-balance, bad ears)

1000 replies

EdgarAleNPie · 23/02/2011 18:15

right - he's had an anti-biotic ear spray for two weeks. he has been particularly sick the past week so its doing bugger all

my plan for friday is to ask

-for heavy oral anti-bs to realy kick the infection (if it is bacterial, as if its in the inner ear an exterior spray won't touch it).
-for a referral to a paediatrician (which i can always cancel if he gets better before it coes through)

  • anti-emetics/ anti nausea pills? he's been keeping very little food down. quite thin.

how does that sound for a plan?

he already saw audiology, they said 'yes, there's fluid in his ear.' is there any point in seeing them again?

He's now been down with this since November. Gone from running and kicking a ball to staggering around the house and falling over. can't manage more than a few yards without support.

ok, any thoughts?

He is gorgeous Edgar and Mr Edgar. But you don't need us to tell you that.

I can just imagine him with hairclips and a tutu. Smile

ChippingInMistressSteamMop · 23/03/2011 11:15

Edgar Grin I see Daddy didn't post those pictures!

Thank you for sharing your photos with us, that must have been hard for MrE to do.

Seeing the photos has really knocked me sideways as well... it's just so hard to believe - I can't even begin to imagine how you come to terms with it.

What I do know, is that you are both very loving and both very strong and so together (with the girls, friends & family - and us!) you will learn to live alongside this terrible, terrible loss - because you have to don't you, there aren't any other options :(

Lots of love & hugs

piratecat · 23/03/2011 11:19

Dear Edgars,
Thank you for sharing your pictures of your beautiful boy, he looks so vibrant and happy. I am holding you all in my thoughts and sending you all much strength and love, I am so so sorry.
This afternoon I am going to take my DS out and give him a balloon to release into the air for your DS, as it is a beautiful spring day here and it seems like something your DS would have liked.
x

caughtinanet · 23/03/2011 12:38

I am so very very sorry for your loss Sad but hope all the love that's being sent to you, from around the world via these threads, is giving you some comfort x

Toffeefudgecake · 23/03/2011 13:45

The thing that struck me about those pictures is what a happy little boy he is. That just shows how much he knew he was loved - and still is - and what a wonderful family he had. You sound such lovely parents, Mr and Mrs Edgar.

I keep thinking of you and have made a donation in his name.
