My ds is 3.5. Somedays he will dress himself other days he wont (or says he cant). He cant do sock yet at all either.

my ds is six this year and he really hates getting dressed, and i still often dress him for school.

He can do it - but in his defence he has fine and gross motor skills problems and co-ordination problems as a result so it really isn't easy for him.

At this age though he knows how to put tops and trousers on back to front and he can do zips. Can't do buttons, or laces.

Heh! knows how to put tops on the right way round I mean

Dd was dressing herself, eg trousers, tops etc, from around when she turned 2.

But now her little sister has come along she suddenly wants us to dress her instead...

DS - 4 except for buttons

DD is 3.2 and can do bottoms but not tops.
