What does everyone think of this item about dealing with your child's behaviour in supermarkets? Is it likley to be helpful to you when your dd/ds is stropping or is it patronising and paternalistic to issue such guidelines?

Anyway there are local shops that sell just about everything - they're called Spar.

Eemie, you made some very good points there. I remember looking at the research finding concerning shouting being almost as traumatic as hitting, with great interest, even thought I too found the idea of the leaflet itself a bit daft.
