I was in the kitchen with DD2 3. I looked round to see her bent over in front of the tumble dryer with her trousers and knickers down and t-shirt off.
I asked her what she was doing. Her reply was 'Making my bum hot' . The dryer was on and she was enjoying the hot air coming from it! It made me Lol!

So what has yours done today that made you laugh?

DD2 - just turned 2 - demanded to play hide and seek, told me precisely where she would be hiding, waited patiently while I counted to 10 in the other room and then jumped out and said "peekaboo", while I was still in the other room and therefore totally unable to see her. It didn't bother her at all. "again, again mummy!"

Her alternative reality just makes me laugh.

Also made me giggle when she wandered around the garden saying "bovver" in a very teenage tone of voice, because it was time for her playmate to go home.

Tortoise - your story made my LOL. Hilarious

Not what my DD did, but my friend had got a new baby and her DS has adopted a baby doll and is copying everything she does. Which today included breast feeding in a cafe. He realised he doesn't have boobs, so was feeding the poor thing through his belly button. An amusing site

my ds (10mo) sat grinning like a cheshire cat, while screwing his eyes up like a little deamon! made me lol but maybe you had to be there!

dd made me laugh a little while ago, when my brother had a motorbike accident and was quite ill in hospital i said he fell off his bike and was poorly and her reply was (at 2.6yo) .........

..........'oh but now he'll have to walk!'

made me lol for ages and even my brother found it amusing!!

cocolepew · 18/09/2007 21:18

DD,5 yrs. had a sub teacher in today, called Mrs. Valentine. She spent the entire day addressing her as Mrs. Valentines day!

kidsrus · 18/09/2007 21:19

Ds (2.10) looking at picture: "That girl is pretty".
Indulgent mummy: "Is mummy pretty?"
Ds: "No, you are just wrong".

just gone to check on 20mth dd she was fast asleep behind the door. struggled to get in to put her back into bed lol

Blandmum · 18/09/2007 22:00

We were having supper together and DH broke wind (I should say at this point that because of the cancer he has he is very 'windy' and it causes him lots of pain, so if it has to come out, it has to come out )

He farted for a looooooooooooooooooogh time. At the end dd (10) said 'And relax' just like a Gym instructor would at the end of a stretch.

he timing and intonation were so great we all cracked up!

Elibean · 18/09/2007 22:03

dd (3.7) when I remind her to eat her veggies for the nth time: 'mummy, sometimes you REALLY try my patience'.

And a bit later 'mummy, I'm VERY knackered'

Elibean · 18/09/2007 22:03

MB,

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 18/09/2007 22:08

oh and my dd was walkign round picking her brothers toys up earlier (dd 2.11 and ds 10mo) saying 'FOR GOD SAKE CHILD i'll put the tosy away then!'

Troutpout · 18/09/2007 22:11

Not today..but yesterday
dd (4) said (on way home from school)
'i'm tired mummy ..are you?'
'Yes' i said
'ok' she said...'lets dance like a chicken then'

4 year olds are nuts

Neverenough · 18/09/2007 22:23

DD aged 7 laid the table for dinner last night-we noticed she had put a decanter with some very nice red wine in it leftover from the weekend. We then realised that it was fuller than we remembered, and the everyday cheap and cheerful wine that was also nearly gone was now empty......

The blend was surprisingly delicious!

pollywollydoodle · 18/09/2007 22:40

like this thread!

dd 3.9 asked "can i wear your bum today mummy?"...(wear it, she would have had to clean it as i snorted so hard)

melpomene · 18/09/2007 22:46

DD1 asked DD2: "Would you like to be a chip when you grow up? Then you could eat your body."

fireflyfairy2 · 18/09/2007 22:46

ROFL @ almost all of these!!

Mine is bordering on the filthy but very innicent out of a child's mouth.

dd [5] & I were coming home from school, along a country road. There was a girl out jogging with a strappy top & a pair of shorts on, on my side of the road.

On the other side of the road was a smelly & very slow tractor.

It just happened to be at a spot in the road where a dead cat was laying & I slowed down to let the tractor & runner past so I wouldn't have to squash the cat...

Anyway, the farmer on the tractor beeped at the runner & flashed her a smile... dd piped up

"I bet he's in pussy heaven"

Obviously meaning the dead cat...but me being me spluttered & gasped & tried not to smirk at the tractor driver & runner....

fireflyfairy2 · 18/09/2007 22:47

Innocent

melpomene · 18/09/2007 22:48

Also, dd1 has just started school and is still getting accustomed to the uniform. She calls her polo shirt "my polar bear T shirt".

berolina · 18/09/2007 22:52

ds (2.4) told the baby I'm 4 days overdue with to come out of Mama's tummy
