I think Arlo goes best with Skye. Oscar and Pablo are nice too. Rupin - never heard of it, not sure I like it, and I don't know how you pronouce 'Tadhg'?

LowLevelWhinging · 01/07/2010 13:47

IMVHO Rupin wil be forever misheard as Reuben and Tadhg will get, "Taaaaaaaadge ?"

I like Arlo.

Are you in the UK?

skyeplusbump · 01/07/2010 13:54

yep in the uk, tadhg is pronounced tea-g it means poet in irish, and rupin is sanskrit for handsome, but to be honest, i love arlo! i was just worried it was a bit 'out there' after my mums reaction ,thinking rupin as a middle name because i just love the idea of a baby ru! thanks for the feedback guys!!

tomatoface · 01/07/2010 13:57

Never heard of Tadhg before but sounds lovely. Rupin is cute and Pablo is a great name - do you have Spanish connections?

Lionstar · 01/07/2010 13:58

Arlo - it's a fab name Though you will get a few non-plussed looks and 'is that a real name' comments. Mostly very positive though

DramaInPyjamas · 01/07/2010 13:59

In My Very Honest Opinion

Arlo is my favourite name ever by the way. Husband wouldn't even consider it! Will persuade him next time hopefully!

LowLevelWhinging · 01/07/2010 14:00

Out of your list I think Arlo Rupin works the best.

Arlo Oscar has that double vowel thing going on in the middle - a bit blurry.

Arlo Pablo is too many Os

Arlo Tadhg - hmmmmmm...not lovin the crazy spelling tbh.

tomatoface · 01/07/2010 14:37

I think Arlo is becoming quite popular now isn't it? I personally know 2 and have heard it a fair bit in the playground. Depends if that bothers you or not though

LowLevel, what you call crazy spelling is Irish spelling

Hedwig3 · 01/07/2010 14:51

Skye and Arlo sounds best together.

LowLevelWhinging · 01/07/2010 14:53

sorry, didn't mean to offend, I just meant that to non-celtic speakers it's a very difficult word to read.

sorry

emmyloo2 · 01/07/2010 14:56

Arlo or Oscar I think

tomatoface · 01/07/2010 14:57
