Your thoughts on girls name Orla?

Hi,

I'm new to mumsnet and recently discovered I'm expecting my second child! Although early days I'm already musing names.

We aren't planning on finding out the gender so need one of each, I said to dh I fancied a girls name that was a but different but do like all the popular names around at the mo ie ava, Mia, ella etc .

He suggested Orla, I like it I think but would appreciate your thoughts!

We called our dd2 Orla, so I guess it's obvious we like it

Very popular name in Ireland and also quite easy for non-Irish to get pronunciation right (though I have been told by friends that they have issues with people understanding it over the phone). Personally I like it.

I have an Orla so I love it.
We are Irish but think it's going to become quite common in England now which I'm not too happy about!
